Well, It's Howdy Doody Time Again.

By Rich Kozlovich

It's Howdy Doody time and will the congressional puppets in Congress shut down the government in October 2025?  While they passed a budget, there's "appropriated federal funding expires after September 30, 2025", which I won't try to explain as I really don't understand this since the budget passed, why are there separate "appropriations" from he budget.  But it appears there's a funding bill that must be introduced and passed before October first, or, the government will shut down.   The Democrats say they don't care if the government shuts down, and if the Republicans want to avoid a government shutdown, they insist the Republicans must come to them saying:

“We have two weeks,”........“They should sit down and talk to us and we maybe can get to a good proposal, let’s see. But when they don’t talk to us, there’s no hope of getting to a good proposal.”.....

And of course a good proposal means giving the Democrats everything they want, which includes:

....... provisions preventing the administration from rescinding spending and slashing environmental programs and provisions restoring funds to public broadcasters. It would also extend expiring Obamacare premium tax credits and undo Medicaid reforms from Republicans’ budget reconciliation bill............

Well, it just might be possible he and the rest of the Congressional Democrats are finally getting the idea; Republicans aren't going to do what they've done so often in the past and play the supplicant role begging for crumbs while giving the store away to arrogant leftists.

It also appears the Democrats are getting that, and really aren't so hot about a government shut down since it appears they'll be blamed.  In days past the Pravda media always made the Republicans the bad guys, but those days are gone since no one believes anything they say and the alternative media will devastate the Democrats with reality.   Oh, one more point, Fetterman is adamantly opposed to shutting down the government and will vote for the extension.  Amazing, while he's still a leftist Democrat, he gives the impression of being a better Senator than Ole Doc Oz would have been.

But the Democrats have a problem, what they've created is killing them.  They created and catered to a base that's so far left they're hysterical demanding they fight to the last man.  What one writer called the Götterdämmerung approach, i.e., Ragnarok, Twilight of the Gods, Valhalla in Flames, "blow it all up and pick up the pieces later."

Here's the reality.  The term government shut down is a misnomer.  The government does not shut down, as the trillions of dollars they take in every year pours in every month whether they're in a "shut down" mode or not, and this time the book on this is the Democrats will be blamed.

I say let it shut down, it will be a good excuse to stop paying for a lot of stuff being fought over in the courts and purge the federal government's deep staters with permanent layoffs.   We win, they lose.
