We have been involved for more than three decades in investigating an air disaster, really a Soviet attack on Korean Air Lines Flight 007 in 1983, which resulted in the passenger Jet with its 269 passengers, including my wife's father and cousin, being brought down in the waters around a Soviet Island. Investigations here in the U.S. and in Israel, have shown there to be survivors to this horrific attack on passengers from many nations, including Americans. We continue our work of investigating, research, and contacts including governmental. The following is his letter to his Homeowners’ Association:
In December of 2021, we purchased a house here at the neighborhood and were presented with the personal wooden cross of the builder/owner of this house, Mr. Christopher Newton. We were attracted by its garden, but only afterwards did we learn that it was planted as a Memorial Garden by the wife of Christopher Newton. He never lived in his own house, but his family did, after his death. Of all the thousands of houses on the market, we unknowingly bought that house of one of the two men from this county who died in that Sept. 11, terrorist attack.
Christopher Newton died along with the other passengers of the jet overpowered by terrorists who slammed it into the Pentagon in 2001. We bought the house of Mr. Newton without knowing anything about the story but afterwards, it seemed to us somehow fitting with what happened to us and our family in the downing of Korean Air Lines Flight 007.
Another connection we had to the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York and the Pentagon is the fact that the first person to die in all these attacks was the employer of my daughter in his company Akamai. This was Danny Levine, who like my daughter was an Israeli American, and who was a passenger in the first terrorist jet that crashed into the Twin Towers. Danny was an elite counter terrorism soldier in the Israeli Defense Force. He rose from his seat to take action and defend all the passengers but was stabbed in the back by a terrorist. (All this was viewed by Flight Attendant Betty Ong who related this over the phone to Air Traffic Control)....
Dear readers of this piece from my life - the terrorist attack is not over, not in Israel and not in America! You have a call to do something about it!
