Virginia and New Jersey Governor Races: The two off-year gubernatorial races are seen by both parties as a bellweather for the 2026 midterm election.
New Jersey: Democrat U.S. House Rep. Mikie Sherrill is making the election all about President Donald Trump. Republican former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli is focusing on local/state issues. He is also connecting Sherrill to Democrat Governor Phil Murphy. It is seen as a competitive race, which is why both national parties are pouring millions into the campaign. Virginia: Former Democrat Rep. Abigail Spanberger had a big lead for a while, but Lt. Governor Republican Winsome Earle-Sears has been closing the gap by focusing on common sense issues. (Gee, where have we heard that term before?) She frequently promotes her success with Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin, who is termed-limited. Early voting starts this month in both states. Florida: Remember the non-English speaking illegal alien who had a commercial driver’s license and made an illegal U-turn in his 18-wheeler that killed three people? The New York Post reports that the three people killed in the car were also illegal aliens. Looks like the state will hold a special legislative session regarding redistricting. The 2020 Census admitted that it shortchanged the Sunshine State, which means it should have two to three more representatives in the U.S. House. Missouri: Looks like the state will hold a special legislative session regarding redistricting. While state legislative Democrats will likely not have the power to stop their Republican counterparts from approving much of the special session agenda, they do have some options once lawmakers leave Jefferson City. That includes challenging the map in court. Argentina: Inspired by President Trump’s Abraham Accords, President Javier Milei introduced The Isaac Accords that will seek to strengthen diplomatic ties and partnerships across Latin America with Israel.Britain: Support for Nigel Farage’s right-wing Reform UK Party is growing as commonsense Britain citizens continue to protest the country’s insane immigration policies. The protests have resulted in the Labour Party suspending a program that allowed registered refugees to bring family members into the country. The protests against the Britain’s insane immigration policies includes flying the red and white St. George’s Cross and the Union Jack flags throughout England.
