Brian Williams has ruled the roost at "NBC Nightly
News" for more than 10 years. Right before he took over, he saw Dan
Rather's career go up in flames at CBS over phony National Guard documents
marshaled against President Bush. The anchorman's career has imploded for
another reason. He seemingly can't stop telling falsehoods about himself. He
was in Iraq reporting during the war and certainly had powerful copy, with
visuals, to present — but it wasn't enough. He had to embellish, from one
audience to the next. By the time he arrived at the Letterman show in 2013, it
was mythology on steroids........ How in the world does one
"misremember" something like that? Truth is, he wasn't telling the
truth again.....[he]claimed he worked through a bout with dysentery during
Hurricane Katrina, and claimed he witnessed a dead body floating outside his
Ritz-Carlton hotel room. Actually, he's told three different versions: There
was a body floating; there was a dead body on a street corner; and someone told
him he'd seen a body floating. He also claimed he'd seen armed gangs at his
hotel.....[and] weird boasts like "I carried a case of Vienna sausage ...
I was going to offer it to someone in exchange for my life." Williams
claimed he was so starving for food that "I remember seeing a box of Slim
Jims and thinking, 'That's better than any restaurant meal right now. That's
the greatest thing I've ever seen.'"

Bunk!.....To Read More…..
Special Note: Media Research Center President Brent Bozell issued the following statement Tuesday night in reaction to NBC's decision to suspend Nightly News anchor Brian Williams without pay for six months:
“NBC’s lead anchor is exposed as a serial liar
who attempts to deceive even when he’s apologizing for his lies. And for that
he gets a suspension? One month, two months, six months, six years. Who cares?
NBC has decided that news presented by a dishonest superstar is preferable to
news presented honorably by anyone else if it means a drop in ratings. But this
isn’t supposed to be about ratings. It’s supposed to be about professionalism,
and ethics, and honestly. If NBC thinks giving Mr. Williams a sabbatical
resolves the issue, that network is clueless. A new descriptor is born: ‘NBC
News, whose lead anchor repeatedly has lied about the news...’ NBC is unbelievable--literally--just
like Brian Williams.”
My Take
– If it wasn’t for the layman journalists out there - the ones the Dan Rather
types used to call the Pajama Media and thought it was all too funny - none of
this would have come to light. Once again – when professionals lack honor it’s
time for the layman to be society’s conscience.
I made the mistake of watching O’Reilly for a while
yesterday and he went on again about how Jesus would have not been happy about
William’s fall. As usual O’Reilly has a problem with definition, and now we
know his Bible knowledge is lacking, although he claims to be an expert about
Jesus. Here’s reality. Jesus called the Jewish religious leaders “serpents and
offspring of vipers” and condemned them to judgment in Matt 23, concluding
with, “Behold your house is left desolate”, and he cleansed the Temple twice –
violently - saying, "My Temple will be called a house of prayer,' but you
have turned it into a den of thieves!" Jesus was not the
milquetoast so many imagine.
What he would have
been sad about is how far they had allowed themselves to fall into corruption,
misleading the people away from God’s law in order to be prominent and enrich
themselves.
He would not have
been sad they would receive the punishment they so richly deserved because they
were keepers and teachers of the Law - they were supposed to be the shepherds
of the people, not the fleecers they became. They also knew that level of
responsibility engendered a higher level of accountability! Jesus wouldn't have
been sad over their punishment. He would have been glad justice was served.
And we need to
ignore O'Reilly and be happy journalistic justice is being served - hot off the
press! Brian Williams was a leader in journalistic corruption leading society
into believing things that promoted himself and a leftist narrative. We need to
remember back during the New Orleans mess they were all blaming George Bush for
that mess, not the governor of Louisiana who initially refused help from Bush
- help that could have prevented so many of the problems that enveloped New Orleans -
or the corrupt Mayor that failed to take advantage of a great
many things available to him in order to help his people. It was George Bush
the leftist media was blaming. Williams’ lies fit their narrative.
Williams needs to be dropped forever as a
lesson to the rest of the Lying Media, and we need to be glad about it!
As for O'Reilly - I think he's a phony and
I'm now beginning to wonder at his reporting. After all, he did once say that
he knew Obama was a citizen because he saw his valid birth certificate, which he
later had to retract, but he also said “two newspaper clippings reporting
Obama’s “supposed” birth in Hawaii proved his eligibility. Three years later,
even after being made aware that anyone in 1961 could have prepared an Hawaiian
birth certificate form (and had it reported in the newspapers), O’Reilly is
still parroting his false claim (as of 2012) and has the nerve each night to
tell America “we’re looking out for you.”’
“With such a friend, we do not lack enemies!”
