King Willem-Alexander delivered a message
to the Dutch people from the government in a nationally televised address: the
welfare state of the 20th century is gone.
In its place a "participation society" is emerging, in which
people must take responsibility for their own future and create their own
social and financial safety nets, with less help from the national government........"The
classic welfare state of the second half of the 20th century in these areas in
particular brought forth arrangements that are unsustainable in their current
form."....To Read More.....
My
Take – Here is what I hear the king saying: "OOPS!...it appears all that lecturing us
Europeans have been doing about evil American capitalism has been
wrong....OOPS!”
As you read this article you find that
"Geert Wilders, whose far right Freedom Party currently tops popularity
polls, called Rutte's budget the equivalent of "kicking the country while
it's down.'" Okay.....and his solution is what? Borrow more money?
Let's
get real here folks. There's no money. It's all borrowed and borrowing time is
running out. The only way to fix it is to create more wealth and that means
more capitalism, and truthfully....Europe is incapable of it .....at least right
now. It will be interesting to see what
happens with the EU collapses and they return to their own currencies and
eliminate all that bloated, unelected bureaucracy that is destroying Europe
with its insane regulatory policies, including....actually especially....their
policies on Global Warming, or Climate Change since it isn’t warming any
longer, that will destroy any efforts at economic recovery!
This
is a classic example of “The inevitability Factor: When reality reaches its zenith!”
How did
this all come into being....and it certainly didn’t happen overnight. Socialism - let’s call the welfare state what
it really is, -is a central planning scam that creates a state run cradle to
grave society that believes all this social spending is a right and will go on
forever.
This
largely European creation became entrenched in Europe in Germany by the efforts
of Germany’s Iron Chancellor, Bismarck, in the middle to late 1800’s. Germany was the world’s geographic center for
socialism in 1870. His goal was to bind
the masses to the ruling class by creating all these social programs. It never occurred to him that the ruling
class wouldn’t be the nobility.
The Great
Depression and the aftermath of WWII made these policies the back bone of their economic
thinking. The problem with all of this
has always been the same; eventually you
run out of other people’s money.
But
with the introduction of the Euro these governments now lost the ability to control
their own monetary policy or control their own levels of competitiveness. Either way; the European solution was to borrow
more money!
It
gets worse. The population of Europe is
aging, they are having fewer children, their tax base is eroding, their
competiveness on the world stage is flaccid and Europe is being taken over my
Muslims who hate them and use their social programs extensively. And now it would appear that the ‘leaders’
are unable to institute reforms, because once these social programs go into
place it is impossible to get rid of them....at least until the money runs
out.
Social
unrest is inevitable no matter what they do.
It will take time for needed economic reforms to start to kick in and
now the “social contract” in Europe is not just at risk...it’s doomed. An eventual doom that should have been
obvious to the most casual observer, but when the masses “storm the gates of
Rome and demand circuses and bread” it takes courage to say no. Unless they can convince their populations that they're just going to have to bite the bullet and and accept the needed economic and social refroms the political and social structure of Europe
is going to crash from its foundation up.
So,
would someone like to explain to me why we want to mimic their social programs with
policies like Obamacare? Would someone
like to explain to me why the media, and those in leadership positions are so
hot to commit national suicide?
