Google Clears Employees to Miss Work to Protest Against Donald Trump

Google is allowing workers to take off from work May 1 to protest President Donald Trump, whether or not they give advance notice.

Pro-immigration groups, socialist organizations, labor unions, and hundreds of thousands of workers are planning to walk out on their jobs on International Workers Day to voice their displeasure with the Trump administration, reports Buzzfeed.

“We respect everyone’s choice to act on their beliefs,” a Google spokesperson told BuzzFeed News. “We care deeply about creating an environment at Google where everyone — employees and contractors, engineers, cafeteria workers and janitorial staff — feels comfortable doing so. We’re asking managers to be flexible in accommodating time-off requests and have let our vendor partners know that we support them doing the same.".............To Read More....
