Thoughts on Our Bizarro World

Those who were born shortly after WWII loved comic books, especially the Superman comics.  Eventually they decided to create an alternate "Superman" called Bizarro, who was a mirror opposite of Superman:

......The.... story line introduced the strange speech patterns that became synonymous with the character, with all of Bizarro's comments meaning the opposite (e.g. "bad" means "good"). The newspaper version wore a "B" on his chest, as opposed to Superman's distinctive "S"......the negative Superman, came the mirror image – always remembering that in a mirror everything is reversed..

Strange speech patterns, good is bad, and bad is good?  Does that sound familiar?  Well, I think that pretty much describes what we're seeing today philosophically and practically from our Bizzaro politicians, academia, media, commerce, public education and more.    Bizarre!!!!!

As I read the news I find I'm stunned at the bizarro world that has emerged in my almost 78 years.  If one headline describing what Democrats are promoting today was published on a Monday in 1960, JFK's run for President would have ended on Tuesday.

In order to do a credible job with P&D I have to review a lot of news sites.   I have a review list of twenty two general news sites I visit daily, another twenty or so I visit irregularly, and three or four geopolitical sites.  By the time I'm done I will have viewed over 30 sites every day, and that doesn't include the stuff sent to me regularly from brilliant writers such as Francis Menton at Manhattan Contrarian, Daniel Greenfield at Sultan Knish blog, and Dan Mitchell at International Liberty, multiple times a week.

American Thinker is my favorite site for general news, followed by Townhall, Breitbart, and one I've been following in the last couple of years, Liberty Nation News, especially since I can publish their articles.  Since I no longer follow or view the Drudge Report, I've been going to Liberty Daily, which is where I find most of the eye rolling, shaking my head thinking,  "ya just gotta be kidden me"!  news.

Well, here are a few eye rollers of our Bizarro vs Superman world I spotted yesterday for your evaluation.  Enjoy!

  • Trans inmate who killed baby and identifies as Muslim woman sues chaplain for allegedly not allowing hijab - By on A transgender inmate serving a 55-year sentence for strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter to death filed a civil lawsuit against the prison chaplain for allegedly prohibiting him from wearing a hijab outside his immediate bed quarters, despite identifying as a Muslim woman. He ticked the box of two of the Democrats’ most special privileged classes deemed above the law and civilized society.  Watch this space for a multi-million dollar settlement.......
  • As the World Crumbles Around Him, Secretary of State Antony Blinken Scolds Staffers Over “Problematic” Language Like “Manpower” - Blinken told staffers at the State Department not to use "problematic" terms such as "manpower," "mother," and "father" in a memo.   Biden administration Sec. of State Antony Blinken told staffers at the State Department not to use "problematic" terms such as "manpower," "mother," and "father" in a memo.   According to a memo from the State Department obtained by the National Review, in early February, Blinken told staff about the dangers of "misgendering" as well as using terms that “can be problematic” such as "manpower" as well as “son/daughter" and “husband/wife.”.......
  •  SCOTUS Declines to Block School's Diversity Policy Parents said 'race-neutral' process discriminated against Asian Americans - By Rob Quinn Feb 20, 2024 -  The Supreme Court on Tuesday left in place the admissions policy at an elite public high school in Virginia, despite claims that it discriminates against highly qualified Asian Americans......Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissented to the decision to allow the policy to stand. Alito wrote that the appeal court's "aberrant" decision meant "intentional racial discrimination is constitutional so long as it is not too severe." .....
  • 'Milk' from men pretending to be women is just as good for babies, hospitals claim 'Comparable to that produced following the birth of a baby' - By WND Staff - The hospital industry in the United Kingdom, which has been known to kill patients by refusing to feed them and has gone to court to make sure ill children die in its hospitals rather than seek overseas treatments, now has come up with a new one. "Milk" from transgender women, that is, drugged biological men pretending to be women, is good for babies........Men who want to "chestfeed" must take the hormone progestin and Domperidone .......... Doctors use Domperidone "off-label" because its maker, Janssen, "recommend[s] against it because of
  • Gen Z treating employers like bad dates 93% ghost interviews, 87% don't show up for work - By WND News ServicesFebruary 20, 2024  -Ghosting isn’t just for dating anymore. Now Gen Z are treating their would-be employers like bad dates and not showing up for job interviews or their first day on the job without as much as a phone call. Employment website Indeed surveyed 1,500 businesses and 1,500 working people in the U.K. and found that job ghosting is rife, with 75% of workers saying they’ve ignored a prospective employer in the past year..........Worse still, a staggering 87% managed to charm their way through interviews, secure the job, and sign the contract, only to leave their new boss stranded on the very first day.  Their reason for doing so? According to the survey, it makes them “feel in charge of their career”.....
End math requirements, says Washington February 17, 2024  By Arnold Cusmariu - Travis Meier, opinion editor for The Washington Post, got on LinkedIn to brag about his first WaPo column titled "The trouble with schools is too much math," calling it a “major moment.”
  • End math requirements, says Washington Post opinion editor - February 17, 2024 By Arnold Cusmariu - Travis Meier, opinion editor for The Washington Post, got on LinkedIn to brag about his first WaPo column titled "The trouble with schools is too much math," calling it a “major moment.” As the author of the recently published Logic for Kids, I thought I’d take a close look. Alas, the article is nothing to brag about. While Meier makes some good points, he also harbors serious misconceptions about logic, overlooks serious problems with mathematics instruction, and would do away with a key component of mathematics with us since Euclid. I sent him an email suggesting he study my book. No reply as of this writing............

We've lost our minds, and we really are living in a Bizarro vs Superman world these days.
