Could a President Trump Have Prevented the Civil War? - President Trump will bring a new era in politics: The perspective and skills of a businessman who sees issues in economics terms. What if Donald Trump had been Abraham Lincoln? How would he have handled the freeing of the slaves? Would he go to war, as did Mr. Lincoln? We think not......
What Can Give Us the Strength to Stand Against the Evils of Our Day? - How can we stand against evil? The rewards of feeling good about ourselves are fleeting, at best. Enlightened self-interest will fail us, so too a morality based on pragmatic considerations alone. The day before he died (February 24, 1791) John Wesley wrote to William Wilberforce, who had been leading the crusade in the British Parliament against slavery:.....
Churches Must Drop Their Tax-Exempt Status Before the State Becomes Our God - We’ve reached a cultural tipping point. I’ve used those words many times when describing certain political events, however, in this particular case, I speak from a religious standpoint. In the United States, faith has been protected under the First Amendment for the last 224 years. Since December of 1791, Americans have been free to worship their God without fear of reprisal. What would you say if I told you that school students who burst out singing the national anthem because they feel patriotic and do it as a tribute to Americans who died, were told to stop singing because they failed to obtain a permit?
That’s exactly what happened to the Waynesville Middle School chorus from North Carolina. The chorus was visiting the 9/11 Memorial last Wednesday. A group from the chorus asked a security guard for permission to sing the national anthem and the guard said it was okay. However, as the chorus sang about bombs bursting in air, two other security guards approached the chorus and told them to stop singing.....
What is the Movement for Transgender “Rights” Really About? - On Friday, May 13, 2016, President Barack Hussein Obama, a former frequenter of Chicago’s gay bath houses, decreed that America’s K-12 public schools must accommodate the miniscule number of students who self-identify as “transgender” by allowing them to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their sexual identification rather than that of their biological sex. This, as pointed out by Breitbart News, disenfranchises almost 55 million American children in 100,000 K-12 public schools with regard to their privacy and safety.....
