The wheels of Hillary's wagon were always wobbly, but now they're starting to fall off faster than she can keep putting them back on. Something happened in the 2008 election I think everyone - including me - misunderstood to the degree we should have. Obama just kicked her out of the race coming from out of nowhere. Sure, we all thought the media played a major role in all of this - and they did - but it occurs to me there was much more in the background we didn't understand - and that was just how unlikable Hillary really is. She's amazingly arrogant, rude, crude and so self serving I think there are a lot of people - including the leftist media - that are enjoying her discomfiture, and I think many will enjoy her coming imprisonment.
And in spite of how for years we've been hearing how she's the smartest woman in the world - I don't even think she's the brightest pebble in her own brook. And for those who do think she's all that smart I have two questions. Can you name one really smart thing she's ever done? And if she's so smart why does she have to lie about .....well.....everything?
However, there are two things we know to be true. There's something seriously wrong with this woman and this is the Democratic Party's pick to be President of the United States.
Clinton Doesn't Trust Democratic Primary Voters, Ezra Klein
Hillary Clinton's campaign has spent the past few days indulging its worst instincts. It blundered into a dumb attack on Bernie Sanders, but rather than back down it raised the stakes. The result has been a reminder, to liberals, of what they like about Sanders and mistrust about Clinton. But it's also been a missed opportunity for Clinton to make the case to Democratic primary voters that she should have been making all along. The subject was Sanders's support for a single-payer health care system. The policy puts Clinton in a bind: It's popular with liberals but dangerous in a general election. Sanders's support for it is, to Clinton, everything wrong with his campaign in miniature — it's an idea that sounds good on the stump but really reveals a preference for ideological symbolism over the hard work of policy change......
Emails of Chelsea Clinton, Clinton Insiders Sought in New Lawsuit, By Morgan Chalfant
A new Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the State Department is requesting emails from Chelsea Clinton and other individuals from Hillary Clinton’s inner circle. The Washington Examiner reported that conservative watchdog Citizens United filed the lawsuit in federal court Thursday. The suit requests emails sent from the name “Diane Reynolds,” the pseudonym under which Chelsea Clinton operated an email account on Hillary Clinton’s personal website domain. The lawsuit comes just as Chelsea Clinton begins to play a larger role in her mother’s presidential campaign, launching attacks at Democratic challenger Sen. Bernie Sanders......
Clinton Considered Secret Plan to Spark Palestinian Protests, By Adam Kredo
The Department of State recently discovered “thousands” of previously unreviewed documents that relate to Hillary Clinton and the Benghazi attack, according to a watchdog group that has been suing the department to release public records from Clinton’s tenure. The State Department disclosed the existence of the additional records in a court filing on Friday and asked the judge for further time to search and review the documents. The watchdog group Judicial Watch has been suing the State Department for years to turn over public records related to Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state, the Clinton Foundation, the employment arrangements of Clinton’s top aides, and her response to the Benghazi attack. According to the State Department, the newly found records are likely to include information relevant to Judicial Watch’s requests. Officials said they would need until at least Feb. 1 to review the documents......
Facing questions from MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski (who states that she would vote for Hillary) ought to be pure softball for the former SecState/senator/first lady. But oddly enough, explaining what is her message – clearly – proved troublesome. All she could manage was a series of boilerplate slogans. I guess it has something to do with GOP bad/grandmas good. Or something. As Ed Driscoll comments at Instapundit:
Ted Kennedy, call your office! Shades of 1979 when, “As the cameras rolled, [CBS's Roger Mudd] popped the now-famous question: Why do you want to be president? Even if he had not been a Kennedy, what followed was stunning: a hesitant, rambling and incoherent nonanswer; it seemed to go on forever without arriving anywhere. Mudd threw another softball, and Kennedy swung and missed again. On the simple question that would define him and his political destiny, Kennedy had no clue.”In retrospect, Kennedy’s inability to answer coherently led to the conclusion that he wanted the office solely because of his family – it was his turn. This effectively ended his legitimacy. That shoe seems to fit Hillary pretty closely.
