The Ohio governor is the latest candidate to try winning the GOP
nomination by alienating Republicans.
John Kasich had never been called a RINO before
and he wasn't having it…..He was…
Tea Party before there was a Tea Party. He was as opposed to corporate welfare
as much as he wanted to promote welfare reform for the poor, as critical of the
Pentagon purchasing bad weapon systems as he was of social programs…[he was] Paul Ryan before Paul
Ryan, the backbencher with crazy ideas about how to cut spending and reform
entitlements who rose to chairman of the House Budget Committee…..But Kasich has since
transformed from one of the fiercest budget-cutters in Congress to a someone
who says St. Peter doesn't care about limited government. He now waves aside
principles and political philosophy as irrelevant distractions to a
high-functioning executive, and defends Obamacare's Medicaid expansion,
amnesty, minimum wage increases and bailouts on the Republican presidential
debate stage.....To Read More.....
My Take – About a year ago I attended a board meeting of one of the
trade associations in which I’m involved and the topic of Kasich (Governor of our state) running for
President came up. I commented he’s
going nowhere! I mentioned he’d run once
before and it was in New England where his run ended because up there when you
campaign you campaign sitting down to breakfast with the locals and have
conversation with them. I commented
they clearly realized then something I’d just became aware of after meeting
Kasich. He suffers from a serious case
of weird! I should have added that case
of weird is compounded by a massive infection of hubris. That was when I understood why he was so obnoxious on Fox when he appeared as a host. He’s toast, but I predicted that months ago. If you eliminate the logical fallacies, leftist clabber and false theological narratives from his recent speeches - you'll find he has said nothing worth listening to!
