Texas stripped Planned Parenthood of Medicaid funding
Monday, citing undercover videos released by The Center for Medical Progress as
evidence of “serious” Medicaid violations. Planned Parenthood clinics in Texas
are “no longer capable of performing medical services in a professionally
competent, safe, legal, and ethical manner,” Texas Health and Human Services
said in a letter to the non-profit’s affiliates in the state obtained by the Associated Press. Those
affiliates are potentially “liable, directly or by affiliation, for a series of
serious Medicaid program violations” highlighted by the videos, the
five-page letter read, alleging Planned Parenthood unlawfully alters the timing
or method of abortions to harvest desirable tissue from aborted fetuses. (RELATED: How The New York Times Is Covering The Planned
Parenthood Videos)…….
Sen. Ben Sasse said Monday he will block two of President
Obama’s top nominees to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services until
there is a “complete and transparent accounting” of the financial crises that
have led to the Obamacare co-op meltdown. “I will act to block consideration
and confirmation of every HHS nominee until families who lost their co-op
insurance plans get straight answers,” Sasse said in a statement. Each of the
100 individual U.S. senators has the right under Senate rules to put a
presidential nomination on hold for any length of time for any reason. The
Daily Caller News Foundation reported Monday that the Department of
Health and Human Services’ Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, has a
secret list of 11 Obamacare co-ops that face insolvency. The CMS manages
Obamacare.….
Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) was a guest on this past
Sunday’s episode of CBS’ Face the Nation where he was asked about comments made
by other Republicans about the Benghazi hearings. Gowdy, who has been playing
defense for the investigation ever since Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said some
questionable things a few weeks ago, seems to be growing tired of having to
defend his investigation from stupid Republican politicians. Gowdy told host
John Dickerson that his colleagues who haven’t been a part of the investigation
or the hearings need to keep their mouths shut…..
Charles Koch, the CEO of Koch Industries, was recently a
guest on Fox News Channel’s the Kelly File with Megyn Kelly. During their
conversation, Kelly asked Koch about his political involvement, his family, his
favorite candidates and about how he’s been portrayed by the Democrats.
Have the Democrats demonized
him and his brother in an effort to win votes?
“Oh definitely, that’s
a full time job on their part. I mean and that’s why I’ve never been that fond
of politics and only got into it recently kicking and screaming. Of what I give
to charity, the part that goes to or I donate, the part that goes to politics
is a very, very, very small piece of that because I don’t think politicians are
going to reverse the trajectory of this country. I think it’s going to depend
on the American people understanding what is fair and what makes their lives
better and so I’ve been working for over 50 years on better understanding that
and communicating that.”……
The brilliant libertarian Tom Woods asks the one question
that no Bernie Sanders supporter seems to want to answer. If Bernie and his
supporters are right and “greed” and the 1% are to blame for our economic
policies… why can’t the other world nations (who
are vastly poorer than even the poorest Americans) demand that we (all
Americans) give them our money? Woods has written a wonderful e-book that you
can get for free at BernieIsWrong.com explaining
why Bernie is completely wrong about the economy…..
