For nine months,
Chris Christie fought hard at state expense to keep a public record secret –
even though it contained no real secrets, confidential information or anything
likely to endanger anyone. It’s a
“valuable asset,” the New Jersey governor’s lawyers claimed in court – one that
would “cause irreparable harm to the state” if released. Judge for yourself. Click here to view and download Christie’s prized
directory of media contacts, obtained by New Jersey Watchdog under a court
order. A key cog in a publicity machine
that transformed Christie into a national figure and set the stage for his
White House run, the multi-tiered list of emails was gathered by the governor’s
communications staff of 16 full-time state employees, paid
$1.36 million in salaries last year. It helped him score countless
national television appearances, plus 8,761,511 views on YouTube, 176,955
likes on Facebook and 6,810 tweets to 489,000 followers on Twitter

My Take - Here are some
comments from readers I crammed together and paraphrased in a single
paragraph.
“Christie's a RINO, plain and simple. He's let NJ's unconstitutional gun laws stay on the books and just 'pardoned' some 'violators' who were arrested for carrying from out of state. He's a phony. I'm from NJ. He was a fire breathing Conservative when he was running. One day after being elected.....RINO! Imagine--the tens of millions of dollars Christie wasted could have made NJ pensions stable. Now this embezzler needs to be indicted for his many crimes and make restitution along with doing hard jail time. Forget about stabilizing pensions, state officials or state government shouldn't be in that business period. Taxpayers need to get off that hook. People like to get excited about obvious government waste, when the real problem is government doing things that government should not be doing in the first place. It's not about how well or how wastefully the government does it that matters the most - what matters the most is whether or not the government should be doing it.”It seems clear to me Christie couldn’t get re-elected in New Jersey if his life depended on it...maybe even if New Jersey's life depended on it. It’s also interesting that of the current and former governors of states running for President of the United States Scott Walker would probably be the only one who could be reelected, and he’s quit, Perry will follow, and Kasich suffers from a serious case of weird with a serious infection of hubris. He believes he has the right to define conservatism as he sees fit, which in his case means supporting one of the most outrageously unconstitutional leftist pieces of legislation ever imposed on this nation – Obamacare - which is bankrupting systems all over the nation! A system he believes God has instructed him to promote and did so by bypassing the legislature. No wonder Obama thinks the nation needs more governors like Kasich. He not only force fed Obamacare to Ohioans, he’s promoted it all over the nation, and at a time when he knew Ohio's system costs were already way beyond prediction. Costs I have to believe ultimatly will be spiraling out of control. Costs Ohioans will have to pick up after he’s gone.
