Advocate Of Liberal Child-Sex Laws Published On Sanders’ Senate Website
Posted on Blake Neff 50 Comments
An author who wants to drastically liberalize child sex laws was published on Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ Senate website Wednesday.  The article itself, written by Judith Levine, is quite mundane. Titled “Two Ways to Fix Income Inequality,” it calls for using government assistance or an increased minimum wage to improve the lot of America’s poor. But Levine is best-known for the book she wrote 13 years ago, titled Harmful to Minors: The Perils of Protecting Children from Sex. Available in its entirety online, the book takes a host of positions on sexual matters that are at best well outside the American mainstream….. Sanders himself published an essay in 1972 in which he said women fantasize about being gang-raped, although he has recently defended the writing as a failed attempt at satire. My Take - Does anyone really believe Sanders is sane?

Federal officials have a secret list of 11 Obamacare health insurance co-ops they fear are on the verge of failure, but they refuse to disclose them to the public or to Congress, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation has learned.  Just in the last three weeks, five of the original 24 Obamacare co-ops announced plans to close, bringing the total of failures to nine barely two years after their launch with $2 billion in start-up capital from the taxpayers under the Affordable Care Act.  All 24 received 15-year loans in varying amounts to offer health insurance to poor and low income customers and provide publicly funded competition to private, for-profit insurers. Among the most recent co-ops to announce closing were those in Iowa, Nebraska, Kentucky, West Virginia, Louisiana, Nevada, Tennessee, Vermont, New York and Colorado.

My Take - And John Kasich told Ohioans and many other states they should adopt Obamacare because this was a command from God.  Well, are we to conclude God is incompetent - didn't know what he was talking about - or perhaps - and I think this is a clear application of Occams Razor - he didn't get a message from God after all.  Perhaps we should really conclude that Kasich suffers from a serious case of weird and a really bad infection of hubris.  Or we can conclude he may have something wrong with his mindI'm in favor of all three!

As we grew up, we found that it was only when others pointed it out that there were any differences with people. Some of us might have more pigment than others, others might have a different texture of hair. But all in all, we all had the same likes and dislikes mostly. So, when people started talking about Affirmative Action and diversity, most people saw that there was a need.  Over the last several years, we have found that the word diversity has become a catch all Leftist phrase. It is a way in which people have wedged political and socio-economic gains. They have done this under the guise of us being “color blind.” We are told that we should want the best candidate, businessperson, and partner. That there should be no regard made over color or race. So what does the left do when they have done too good a job?.....

The Obama administration has canceled all Arctic drilling lease sales for the next couple of years just weeks after Royal Dutch Shell abandoned its oil exploration efforts in the polar seas.Just as millions of Americans were heading home for the weekend, the Interior Department announced Friday it was canceling Arctic lease sales due to “current market conditions and low industry interest.” Basically, the department is arguing that oil prices are too low for companies to justify drilling in the north pole.  “In light of Shell’s announcement, the amount of acreage already under lease and current market conditions, it does not make sense to prepare for lease sales in the Arctic in the next year and a half,” Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell said in a statement of her department’s plan to cancel two future lease sales for Arctic drilling rights.

For years, Republican Presidential candidate and Senator from Kentucky, Rand Paul (R-KY) has been leading the fight for criminal justice reform in our government and culture. Paul, along with many other reform-minded conservatives have been pushing for reforms to our system that would completely reshape the way we handle criminal justice in America. While some liberals say that the idea for criminal justice reform began with them, there is a MAJOR difference between liberal efforts and conservative efforts to change the way justice happens in America.  Liberals have focused on weakening penalties for criminal behavior, thereby undermining the justice process completely. However, conservatives have taken a more holistic and complete approach. While some penalties should be lessened (or even eliminated), the problems with our justice system run much deeper than Obama and the Democrat Party seem to realize.

This past weekend Saturday Night Live took on the Democrat presidential debate and delivered some very funny moments. Larry David as Bernie Sanders was perfect, Alec Baldwin (who, while being a mean spirited, rude and tiresome liberal is still a very funny dude) gets Jim Webb spot-on, and Kate McKinnon continues to kill it with her Hillary Clinton impression.  While the entire sketch is funny, it was also a bit sad to see an avowed socialist treated as a “serious” candidate in one of the most important cultural shows on TV.  Some of my favorite moments include Martin O’Malley’s introduction where he mentions that two very violent and dark shows about Baltimore (The Wire and Homicide) were produced while he was mayor of the city. Not exactly a “positive sign” about O’Malley’s leadership abilities.  The other was Larry David’s (doing Bernie Sanders) take on modern America…

Lew Warns that Debt Ceiling Must be Raised

There has been little if any understanding of the meaning of ceiling in Congress over the passed eight years. When it comes to debt and the wholesale borrowing by our government over the past thirty years, the set debt limit has proven to be little more than a set spending challenge. It is as if someone was challenging Congress and the President to beat the number. And no matter who is running things, they consistently have and then surpassed that number.  Now, in the face of another deadline to raise the limit, the Treasury Secretary Jack Lew has voice concern. He thinks that the Congress is playing games and using the debt ceiling as leverage.

This past weekend voters in Texas flocked to Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano to take part in the North Texas Presidential Forum.  On hand were several of the leading GOP candidates for president, including Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Dr. Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum. Donald Trump was notably absent, but he was invited to meet with the mostly evangelical crowd of interested voters.

I must watch and hear things when the truth is that I’d much rather avert my eyes and shut my ears to the horrors taking place around me… like last week’s Democrat debate, for example.  It’s not my idea of “fun” to sit and watch as a bunch of old liberals from the Northeast gather together to take turns auditioning to be the next Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus. GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio (R-FL) may have put it best when he argued that the event was “a liberal versus liberal debate about who was going to give away the most free stuff.” Each of the candidates spend their time telling the American people about all of the free stuff that they’d be giving away, if they were elected, of course. It was simply preposterous. For instance, Bernie Sanders promised some $18 Trillion in NEW giveaways! He forgot to mention where he’d be getting the money to pay for these things, but I think we all know where he plans to find the cash. (Hello Mr. Taxman.)….. There are six big things we’ve learned - The era of big government is back - Utopia is In - They have NO plan for the economy - They have NO concept of national security - Democrats are Defined by who they Hate - The conservative Democrat is a Dinosaur.

Jim Webb (D-VA) is a moderate Democrat, and by moderate Democrat I mean that he is a crazy liberal. However, even as a liberal, I can honestly say  that I respect and appreciate Webb for standing by the things that he believes. He may be too liberal for me, but the truth is that he was far too conservative for today’s Democrat Party… which is why he has decided to walk away from the race.  In his farewell press conference, Webb chose to take a few parting shots at the establishment of the Democrat Party, as well as at Hillary Clinton herself. This last act of rebellion just adds to the reasons that Webb became our favorite Democrat over the last few months.  In his comments he explained that he was dropping out of the race because he now realized that he is out of step with the core of his party. Alluding to the fact that many Democrat voters seem to happily support an avowed socialist like Bernie Sanders, Webb said that he was no longer “comfortable” with some of the policy beliefs of the party, and for this reason, he was ending his campaign for the Democrat nomination.

My Take - Reality struck him like a lightning bolt I suppose - and he was "Shocked, Shocked I tell you!" Well - there's only one thing to conclude from his comments. He lives inside a light bulb - which is a vacuum! Military "leaders" are smart, disciplined and competent.   Assign them a mission and they will carry it out!  However - they didn't get to high rank by telling their superiors they're wrong.  Military officers are thought of as leaders when in reality they've spent their lives going along to get along in order to get ahead.  We called it brown nosing when I was a kid.  For them to be a rock in the current is totally alien to their nature, their training and their experience in life.  Heterodoxy isn’t for the faint of heart or military leaders.  Webb demonstrated that!
