Let's start out with something that should be obvious to the most casual observer; the national debt cannot keep piling up without disaster in the end. Here's John Mauldin's piece that appears in his Thoughts From the Front Line, Big Debt Cycles, saying: Debt is a curse that can also be a blessing, depending on how the borrower uses it. Sadly, human nature seemingly ensures we often use debt unproductively—and not just as individuals. Governments have their own special way of using debt to buy benefits (and votes?) today that future generations will pay for. The article is insightful as it shows how banks and government twist reality, and while he fails to come to the obvious conclusion, it's none the less insightful, and it shows economics is much like statistics, arcane. It's being reported that Hamas is agreeing to Trump's 20 point peace plan, and truth be told, I think it stinks. This plan reeks of poison pills that clearly is a naive outline for failure, worse yet, there's nothing in this plan that brings these monsters to justice for their crimes against humanity. And let's not kid ourselves, there will be no deal, at least not a real deal. Hamas is saying they'll give up the hostages and negotiate, but that's nothing more than a delaying tactic in order to gain time. Time to convince the world they need to keep their weapons. Time to convince the world they need to remain in charge. Time to continue convincing the world Israel is evil, and any plan that restricts their ability to murder innocent unarmed civilians is an evil violation of their Islamic right to jihad, and doing so worldwide.
As long as they're negotiating Israel will not be attacking them, which is their real goal, and which is what Trump is demanding from Israel, and it will be an Israeli mistake. But even if they do make a deal, they're not going to honor it. Everything they do is predicated on lies and misdirection. They want to negotiate to keep their arms, keep political control of Gaza, kick Israeli forces out of Gaza, and in the end, there will be no deal, the hostages will most likely not survive and Israel will have to do what they should have done right from the beginning, and put an end to Hamas. I would like to draw your attention to these articles appearing in Middle East Forum about defeating the Houthis, and you will notice a common pattern playing out in dealing with these murderous groups and the established Muslim state governments. Nothing is ever as it appears in Islam, and nothing they do or say should ever be trusted.
Leftist have only one moral foundation that's sacred to them. Get and hold power, at any cost, which is why they stumble from one outrageous demand to another, often abandoning positions they held dear just minutes before. They hate history, which explains their adoration of Marxism. They promote violence while declaring that's what those who disagree with them are doing. Lies, misdirection, projection, and logical fallacies are the tools of leftists to promote leftism, and when that fails, they kill anyone who stands in their way. ' No one is above the law, except Democrats.
Remember during the election the Democrat's favorite meme was Republicans were weird? Now their favorite meme is Trump is unhinged, unserious, or even better yet, he's unstable. Imagine that. They must not have taken a good look at Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, Chicago Mayor Johnson, Governor Gavin Newsom, Representative's Maxine Waters, Jasmine Crockett, and most importantly, Joe Biden. In today's edition I have five offerings, and fifteen by others. There are also two links that provide information on a host of issues you may find worth your time. Best wishes, Rich My Commentaries
