Is Food Political?

Celebrity Chef Tom Colicchio and Left-Wing Interest Groups are Making It So with "Sham Consensus" Food Policy Scorecard
By Jeff Stier December 12, 2013
Washington, D.C. - Jeff Stier, Senior Fellow at the National Center for Public Policy Research and Director of its Risk Analysis Division, has issued a statement in response to the new "National Food Policy Scorecard" announced this week by the activist group Food Policy Action, supported by celebrity chief Tom Colicchio and consisting of organizations associated with the left:
This scorecard is a sham. It does not, as Food Policy Action claims, "reflect the consensus of top food policy experts." Rather, it represents the narrow views of a select group of some of the nation's most ideologically-divisive activists.....To Read More.....
My Take - Once again we find "consensus" among radicals promoting radical views. Surprise! And once again we find radicals attempting to force everyone to adopt their views of reality, irrespective of what the rest of the world wants. In order to do this they attempt to undermine our views with the views of "experts:", unless the "experts" agree with them and then they condemn anyone who dares disagree with the "experts"!
The only good thing about this is the left has no other tools left in their arsenal and the public is fast becoming aware their views aren't "consensus" views or "expert". What fascinates me is why they are so hot to control everyone's life? Everywhere in the world where this kind of central planning and control has been adopted - or imposed - it has been a failure to those societies. Dystopia follows leftism as sure as Sancho Panza followed Don Quixote. A madman!
