Ego and Greed

Larry Elder Larry Elder Mar 16, 2023

I took a flight from Los Angeles to Minneapolis and was picked up at the airport by a black driver. His name is Davis. He looked mid-20s, but it turned out he was 39. He was charming, soft-spoken, friendly and became talkative once he realized I wanted to talk......He is not married, has no children and is close to his mom and his two sisters.............."Well, I caught a case back in 2010." He said. "'Caught a case'? You mean time in prison?"........I expected him to say a few months, but he told me he served nearly three years.........We talked about his crime. He said his mom rarely worked, that his family was desperately poor, and they moved frequently and suddenly to avoid paying rent. "I went to three or four high schools. As soon as I sort of got settled, we'd move again." At the last place, his mom had a tiny bedroom. The sisters slept in another small bedroom, and he slept on the couch...............

He got a BB gun and used it the rob a movie theater for about $2,200. "Got caught. Found out you do the same amount of time for a BB gun as you do with a real gun." "What possessed you to do that? "Greed and ego. Got caught up in greed and ego. And in a way, it was a good thing; I needed to get myself together and start taking responsibility."..........."I mean, you lacked a father figure." "No," he said. "That's just an excuse. I made dumb decisions. I had choices. I just made bad ones.".......He now works as a youth counselor and motivational speaker. He encourages fatherless children to forgive their fathers, to nevertheless make good decisions and to refuse to think like a victim...........To Read More...

White Man Down: Frustration is Not Racism, - About Scott Adams, the white male creator of the (once) popular "Dilbert" comic strip, The Washington Post wrote: "On his Feb. 22 episode of 'Real Coffee With Scott Adams,' the creator of the comic strip 'Dilbert' decided to riff on a much-criticized Rasmussen poll and promote a type of segregation. He declared that Black Americans are part of a 'hate group' and urged White people to 'get the hell away from Black people.'"................... At a time when anti-black racism has never been less of a factor, most blacks demand reparations, properly described as payments from those who were never slaveowners to be given to those who were never slaves. Schools promote concepts like critical race theory that characterize whites as oppressors and blacks as victims. Some blacks complain about "microaggressions." If in response to "Black Lives Matter," a white person says, "All Lives Matter," all hell breaks loose...................Is it really surprising that some whites, like Adams, are now saying, "Check, please!"? He just said it out loud. Frustration is not racism.

Racializing the Death of a Black Man by the Police, Part I - It became national, indeed, international news that five Memphis police officers grabbed, punched, beat, pepper-sprayed and stun-gunned a black suspect, named Tyre Nichols, who later died at the hospital. A picture of him in his hospital bed showing his swollen, battered and bloodied face went viral on social media. The city police chief, a black female, said she was disgusted: "In my 36 years ... I would have to say I don't think I've ever been more horrified and disgusted, sad ... and, to some degree, confused." The cops were fired; all face second-degree murder charges. The body cam video, as well as video from an outdoor camera, was released. No video exists of what first caused the police to begin Nichol's traffic stop............

Racializing the Death of a Black Man by the Police, Part 2 - Last week we discussed how many on the Left considered the death of a black suspect, Tyre Nichols, following a beating by five Memphis black cops, an example of police anti-black "systemic racism." Columbia Law Professor Kimberle Crenshaw, a proponent of critical race theory, offered this hysterical perspective: "Anyone who knows the history of enslavement, anyone who knows the history of policing knows that black people can do anti-black things. But what we were also trying to bring into the conversation is the structural dimension of anti-black racism, the fact that the incentive structures that are set up in policing are targeting particular communities, black communities." "Targeting ... black communities"?........

Reparations: Blackwashing Slavery- When it comes to the absurdity of American taxpayers giving "reparations" to black descendants of slaves, it's hard to limit the number of objections. Apart from the fact that American slavery, though horrific, was legal; that it ended 157 years ago; that the government did not own slaves, the private sector did; that most Southerners did not own slaves; that nearly all slave owners were Democrats -- so why should non-Democrats pay?; that hundreds of thousands of white Northerners lost their lives and suffered serious injuries fighting in the Civil War that ended slavery; and that today, as conservative writer Michael Medved puts it, only about 5% of whites bear "a generational guilt" to slavery -- there's the role Africa itself played.

Take the 2022 movie "The Woman King," starring Viola Davis, about African female warriors. It portrays white slavers as villains and the female warriors as antislavery avengers, and the film claims it is "Inspired by true events.".............Inspired by true events? Really?  There was a band of warrior women in Africa called Dahomey. True, they were fierce, feared, and bloodthirsty fighters. But they used that ferocity to kill and conquer other Africans for sale to slave traders. The trans-Atlantic African and the Arab African slave trade could not have occurred without the complicity of African chiefs, who sold conquered Africans to European and Arab slavers............

Is Gavin Newsom The Next Biden?

March 6, 2023 By Mychal Massie @ Daily Rant

Cultural-Marxist Democrats are the personification of satanic evil. Let me start with the lowest of the hanging fruit on the Democrats tree of moral opprobriousness.  They have a visceral hatred for propriety, especially when it comes to those for whom they have no respect, but keep as useful resources in their denigration of America.  Let me explain.

Consider their hared for Larry Elder.  Personally, I haven’t one shred of doubt that Larry would have been a game changer as governor of California and I don’t say that because he is my friend. I say it because he is a focused, highly intelligent man who loves California and genuinely cares about the people in the State.  Unlike Gavin Newsom who cares only for and about himself, as his duplicitous double standards have proven time and time again.

Everything Newsom is and represents has a negative impact upon the so-called African-Americans in California.  Larry’s policies would have benefited all Californians.

Something named Erika D. Smith took delight in left-handedly accusing Larry of being the “black face of white supremacy” saying “he supports systematically racist policies that would disproportionately harm Black people.”

Larry is pro-life; that means he’s about saving the lives of the unborn.  If there were ever a case for disparate impact lawsuit it’s the toll Margaret Sanger’s institute of selective death and extermination has had upon their targeted population group.

Hate-filled, racist Democrats are responsible for approximately 25 million of targeted group’s children – Smith claims Larry “would have made it disproportionately hard.”  What’s harder than more than one-third of a population group’s future generations being exterminated by the very people who have oppressed them for over 400 years while cleverly convincing them its Christians who are against them?

I’ve referenced Larry because the cultural Marxists, the Fabian Democrat Socialists and the neo-Leninists latest scheme to cast this designated population group into the abyss is to take $559 billion dollars from the taxpayers and give it out as reparations to a group of people (who don’t deserve them), from a group of people who have in no way ever done injury to them on a scale that would warrant same. And, let there be no doubt, Newsom may not have introduced the measure, but he’s 100 percent behind it and involved in it; and it wasn’t introduced without his blessing.

This is his potential secure all of the so-called crayon color vote card. Then He focuses on the illegal alien vote and let Democrats proven ability to steal elections do the rest.  Their goal of running the proverbial table with governorships, state legislatures and all three branches of government and the Supreme Court even if they have to pack it as Franklin Roosevelt threatened to do and Biden wants to do, would be theirs to lose.

But, Larry Elder and those like him are the bad guys, because we love America and know this is where dreams can become reality.

People can disagree with the scenario I’ve referenced; but you can be assured that if I’m thinking about this scenario, there are those within the Democrat stratagems who are already crushing the feasibility numbers of making this dream scenario reality.

The threat to their success is Buttigieg and his mishandling of the New Palestine train wreck in addition to his mishandling the other train wrecks and the other transportation nightmares he mishandled.  Biden isn’t really a threat to their plan, because he is a DMW. (Dead Man Walking)  In his deteriorating condition, he’s history whenever they want.  The fact that Republicans aren’t banging an around the clock drum comparing Buttigieg’s handling of every transportation issue since his appointment compared to the handling of Hurricane Karina and what the Democrats accused then President Bush of not doing, says to me that Karl Rove and the Republican hierarchy are handling this election campaign as they did in 2010 when they refused to run against Obamacare.

Buttigieg’s claim to fame is being a homosexual Transportation Secretary means little if his lack of accomplishments were brought under the bright lights of failure and incompetence.  He only gets credit for being a sexual deviant achiever from Hollywood liberals and the hags on The View.

In retrospect, it’s unfortunate for Californians; they had a chance to elect someone who is capable, understands how to get things done and who puts the people first, all of which is alien to Newsom and contradictory to his Machiavellian agenda.

In closing, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention this is the reason people need to take a good read of the Word of God.  The Great Tribulation must have a beginning point before it takes place after Christ raptures the Church.  I submit that from where I sit this would be a good time for people to examine where they stand spiritually.  Because where we stand politically is indicating to those of us who know and believe the Word of God, time is not the ally of the wicked.

All Things Great and Small ...... Are Racist! Part VII

“We’re all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house. Birth ’til death. We travel between the eternities.” — Robert Duvall

By Rich Kozlovich

We're born, we die, we leave whatever we were behind, for good or for ill. But philosophies are like rust. Rust never sleeps, and neither does leftism, it just moderates to accommodate the latest philosophical flavor of the day.  At one time the left, always represented by Democrats, promoted extreme racism, from slavery to eugenics.

But when Republicans overturned all that, with the blood of over 600 thousand white soldiers during the Civil War, then passing the Civil Rights Act around 100 years later, and yes, it was the Republicans under Republican Minority Leader Everett M. Dirksen who made that happen, all of which many Democrats opposed, including President John F. Kennedy before he was assassinated.   Now, all those leftist racists are gone, but their philosophical progeny remains, and has flourished. How? By redefining their racism.

When the tide turned, the left turned on a dime, taking a 180 degree turn by ridding itself of Democrats who were openly racist and then claimed all these civil rights advances were theirs, and it was the Republicans who were racists.

Even Senator Robert Byrd, a member of the Ku Klux Klan, who in the early 1940's became the recruiter and Exalted Cyclops of a KKK chapter he and his friends created, recanted and joined the rest of the leftist march away from their racist past.

While at one point in his life he claimed in a letter sent to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS) saying:

I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. — Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944[15][30]

In 1946, Byrd wrote a letter to Samuel Green, the Ku Klux Klan's Grand Wizard:

"The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and in every state in the nation."

Recanting in later years claiming that joining the KKK was:

.........the greatest mistake I ever made."........... "Be sure you avoid the Ku Klux Klan. Don't get that albatross around your neck. Once you've made that mistake, you inhibit your operations in the political arena.".........I thought the Klan could provide an outlet for my talents and ambitions.".......... "I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times ............. and I don't mind apologizing over and over again. I can't erase what happened."

So, was he really converted to realizing racial intolerance was wrong, or did he realize the changes in society made it clear his racist views were not going to promote his alleged "talents and ambitions" for a political future in the Democrat party?  I go for the latter.  It's my view that if America hadn't changed he wouldn't have either.

Now, has anything really changed for the left, who've been unendingly racist and antisemitic with their positions and policies, all the while proclaiming the opposite, following the pattern of leftist propaganda that's existed forever.

Von Papen quoting propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels:

‘During the many years of struggle, I have learned how to influence the masses so that they will follow us without question. Whatever decisions we took during those years, we prepared the ground by the incessant repetition of suitable slogans, until the party members believed every word of them. We shall now have to use the same methods to convince the entire German nation of the necessity for Government’s economic and political measures.’”

That pattern of thinking and action is still in play, as it turns out Larry Elder, a conservative black commentator running against California Governor Gavin Newsom in the recall election, is racist!

LA Times columnist goes there: 'Larry  Elder is the black face of white supremacy'

“He is a danger, a clear and present danger,” said Melina Abdullah, cofounder of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles…........“Anytime you put a Black face on white supremacy, which is what Larry Elder is, there are people who will utilize that as an opportunity to deny white supremacy. They say, ‘How could this be white supremacy? This is a Black man.’ But everything that he’s pushing, everything that he stands for, he is advancing white supremacy.”

In this piece of August 28, 2021,  The Media’s Racist Attacks on Larry Elder, by  Joel B. Pollak, the author pointing out what should be obvious to everyone.  The rules are different in the media for accusations against Democrats, and Republicans, white or black.

What if this was reversed, and Larry Elder was the Republican Governor of California facing a recall election, and his main opponent was a rich white male Democrat who the Republican governor nefariously tried to keep off the ballot, and claimed he was guilty of financial irregularities that were criminal, and spewed out claims about sex, drugs and violence against a woman, the media would have gone nuts.

Yet all these things the things Democrats in power threw at Larry Elder because Larry Elder is an ultra conservative, a Republican, and the the Democrats find he's an alarmingly articulate and intelligent man, ergo, he's a racist, and the “black face of white supremacy"!  And the media is all on board with that.

Why isn't that leftist racism?  Because charges of racism only go one way, and that way has nothing to do with truth, justice and the American Way.   It's all about headlines........... L.A. Prosecutors Will Not Pursue Accusations Against Larry Elder — After CNN Gets Its Headline, and the left's pattern of propaganda has history, and that history continues:

".........we prepared the ground by the incessant repetition of suitable slogans, until the party members believed every word of them. We shall now have to use the same methods to convince the entire German nation of the necessity for Government’s economic and political measures.’”

Let's try and get this right once and for all.  None of these charges are about racism, inequity or unfairness. It about the acquisition of power, and that's the only moral foundation the left will ever adhere to.  Period!

LA Times columnist goes there: 'Larry Elder is the black face of white supremacy'

John Sexton Aug 20, 2021

I don’t know whether the author of this column published today in the LA Times wrote the headline but it reads, “Larry Elder is the Black face of white supremacy. You’ve been warned.” In any case, the headline is based on a direct quote contained in the story. So let’s jump to that:

“He is a danger, a clear and present danger,” said Melina Abdullah, cofounder of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles…

Abdullah of Black Lives Matter: “Anytime you put a Black face on white supremacy, which is what Larry Elder is, there are people who will utilize that as an opportunity to deny white supremacy. They say, ‘How could this be white supremacy? This is a Black man.’ But everything that he’s pushing, everything that he stands for, he is advancing white supremacy.”

I guess you could say it’s really BLM of Los Angeles that is calling Elder the black face of white supremacy but it’s pretty clear the author agrees with that:...To Read More

Conservative powerhouse restored to California governor's recall race

'I will be on the ballot'

By WND Staff  July 21, 2021

A judge's order is restoring conservative talk-show host Larry Elder to the ballot for California's looming recall election for Gov. Gavin Newsom.  A report from Deadline explained on Wednesday a judge in Sacramento issued the ruling after rejecting a claim from Secretary of State Shirley Weber that he filed incomplete information about his taxes.

The ruling from Superior Court Judge Laurie Earl explained that the requirement that candidates submit copies of their taxes applied to direct primary elections, but not a recall as this election is.  "I don't find that Mr. Elder was required to file tax returns at all," the judge said............To Read More....

'I Will Not Stand For These Shenanigans': Elder to Sue California's Secretary of State to Get on Recall Ballot

Leah Barkoukis  Leah Barkoukis July 20, 2021

Salem radio host Larry Elder said he will sue the California Secretary of State to get his name on the California recall ballot.  The conservative pundit’s name was kept off an initial candidate list reportedly over redaction issues with his tax returns.

“The Secretary of State is either saying that we did not redact sufficient info on my returns, or we redacted info that should not have been redacted,” ........ “The Secretary of State could have made the supposedly required redaction(s), but elected not to. We're trying to ascertain the details.”

He argued that even if there are some redaction issues, that should not be disqualifying. Indeed, according to Elder’s lawyers, it never has been a problem a candidate has been disqualified over in the past.

“Income tax returns are required under the election code to ensure ‘that its voters make informed, educated choices in the voting booth.’ The redactions required on tax returns include items such as social security number, home address, telephone number, etc,” Elder explained. “Should they not be redacted inadvertently, it would be an error that does not arise to a disqualifying factor. Furthermore, the Secretary of State could’ve made additional redactions if she determined my tax returns were insufficiently redacted.”

Elder said the move also violates California’s Constitution.

“Finally, this also violates the equal protection clause of Art. I, § 7, of the California Constitution not to require Governor Gavin Newsom to comply with the same tax return disclosure requirement,”............To Read More....

Derek Chauvin: The Great White Defendant

The man-bites-dog news appeal.

Larry Elder 1 comment

In the brilliant novel "The Bonfire of the Vanities," author Tom Wolfe describes what he calls the intense media interest in covering "The Great White Defendant."

A review of "Bonfire" explains: "The overarching theme of the book is the search for the great white defendant. The vast majority of defendants in New York City are minorities, arrested for killing another minority. The vast majority of the cops and prosecutors are all about the press and their careers. One drug dealer killing another drug dealer is not going to get you any attention; it's a dog-bites-man story — no story. What you want is a man-bites-dog story. Therefore, subliminally, the police, prosecutors and press are always looking for a great white defendant who will make their careers."

Nobody, Wolfe writes, gets upset about massive media coverage of The Great White Defendant. Blacks enjoy watching media coverage of well-off white men, in this case a Wall Street trader, accused of serious wrongdoing, in this case murder. Guilty whites are used to perpetuate the systemic racism media narrative. And the media feel noble when pushing it. Win, win, win.

This brings us to the trial of Derek Chauvin, the white ex-Minneapolis cop convicted of murdering George Floyd, a Black man who initially resisted arrest.

Cable channel HLN has covered the trial from gavel to gavel. When bumping in and out of commercial breaks, HLN displayed a graphic, accompanied by foreboding music, showing two fists tearing an American flag in half, with the caption "America's Very Soul Is on Trial." Black Lives Matter activist Maya Echols, in a since-deleted TikTok video, said: "If George Floyd's murderer is not sentenced, just know that all hell is gonna break loose. Don't be surprised when building are on fire. Just sayin'." And Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., says she is "hopeful" of a conviction, but if not, Waters said: "We've got to stay on the street and we've got to get more active, we've got to get more confrontational. We've got to make sure that they know we mean business."

No, America's "very soul" is not on trial..............To Read More.....

Some Final Thoughts on Reparations

Why should anyone but Democrats pay?

Thu Mar 18, 2021 Larry Elder

How would reparations be funded?  Conservative writer Michael Medved estimates that only 5% of whites in America "bear any authentic sort of generational guilt for the exploitation of slave labor."

Why should anyone but Democrats pay?

Scholar Dinesh D'Souza notes that all but a "handful" of slave owners were Democrats. The Ku Klux Klan, at its height of power and popularity, was known by the NAACP as the "terror wing" of the Democratic Party. The KKK was founded by Democrats; I did not say by the Democratic Party, but by Democrats. As a percentage of their party, more House Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than did House Democrats. As a percentage of their party, more Senate Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than did Senate Democrats...........To Read More....

Can we knock it off: Larry Elder shreds BLM demand for reparations with cold facts

December 12, 2020 | | Print Article

Fox News host Tucker Carlson revisited the issue of forcing taxpayers to fund reparations for blacks with columnist and author Larry Elder, who pushed back on the idea and said it would only serve to further racially divide Americans. Carlson introduced the segment by reminding viewers that Sen. Kamala Harris, set to become the vice president if Joe Biden takes office in January, pledged last year during her short bid for the presidency that she would sign reparations legislation.

He then pivoted to a clip of a young Black Lives Matter activist who praised and justified looting in Chicago in August as a form of "reparations."  After playing both clips, Carlson brought in Elder and asked if mandatory reparations, which - depending on the scheme could cost $12 trillion - would further inflame or calm racial tensions.  Elder, who also hosts a daily radio show, said unequivocally that he believes mandating reparation payments would further divide the country along racial lines as he went into a lengthy explanation of the evolution of racial politics in the country............To Read More...

NAACP Shows Its Irrelevance by Recommending Trump's Impeachment

Larry Elder Aug 01, 2019

At the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's annual convention in Detroit, delegates unanimously recommended that the House of Representatives impeach President Donald Trump. For what?

Derrick Johnson, the NAACP's president, said: "The pattern of Trump's misconduct is unmistakable and has proven time and time again that he is unfit to serve as the president of this country. ... This president has led one of the most racist and xenophobic administrations since the Jim Crow era." Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, who introduced an unsuccessful motion for impeachment, argues that the President's "racist comments" constitute sufficient grounds for impeachment.

Just how much harm has "racist" Trump done to blacks?.........To Read More....

The Fake News 'Surge' in Hate Crimes

Larry Elder Apr 11, 2019

According to the FBI, "hate crimes" are on the rise. The agency reported a 17% increase in such crimes in 2017 compared to 2016. Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., recently said: "There has been an increase in hate crimes. There has been an increase in very negative rhetoric at groups." Notwithstanding the crime hoax perpetrated by actor Jussie Smollett, CNN recently reported, "Hate crime allegations show no signs of stopping, with plenty of examples reported in recent months."

But wait. The FBI, in its news release announcing the 2017 Hate Crime Statistics report detailing the "rise" in hate crimes, said, "Although the numbers increased last year, so did the number of law enforcement agencies reporting hate crime data -- with approximately 1,000 additional agencies contributing information." Coincidentally, the number of agencies that reported at least one hate crime within their jurisdiction also increased in 2017 -- by 15%. The FBI described its efforts "to encourage reporting of hate crime statistics." The FBI release said: "Next year, FBI personnel will provide training for law enforcement officers on how to identify bias-motivated incidents and report that data to the FBI's UCR (Uniform Crime Reports) Program. Additionally, the Department of Justice launched a new hate crimes webpage, which has information for law enforcement on reporting incidents."..........To Read More.....

The 'Voter ID Is Racist' Con

Larry Elder Oct 25, 2018

Add late-night comic Trevor Noah to the list of ill-informed lefties who consider voter identification a "racist" demand intended to "suppress" the black vote. "Isn't it interesting," Noah said, "how every time Republicans create a voting restriction, it just so happens to disproportionately affect people of the brown-brown? ... Let's be honest, you don't have to say who you're targeting to target someone. You just have to know which rules are likely to hit them the most."

Noah echoes the sentiment of then-Attorney General Eric Holder, who in 2014 characterized the call for voter ID laws as an example of "pernicious" racism. Last week, MSNBC's Chris Matthews told Holder's successor, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, that Republicans push voter ID laws to "screw the African-American voter." Lynch responded: "Yes, yes -- and it's nothing new. ... This is a historical issue. It's a current issue. And it's only history because it happened to somebody else, not because it could never happen again. That's what's happening now."..................To Read More.....

Urban America's Underclass: More Money Won't Solve the Problems

Larry Elder

PBS NewsHour aired a story last year about Milwaukee, saying many residents call the city "the worst place to be a black man in America." It talked about last year's riots in the city after a cop shot a black man. One black Milwaukee resident explained that this is "what happens when you inflict poverty" on poor black residents.

 "Inflict poverty"?

In the 50 years following President Lyndon Johnson's launch of the "war on poverty" in 1964, government spent over $22 trillion on welfare and various anti-poverty programs. The problem in our nation's inner cities is not a lack of money -- it is a moral and spiritual problem largely created by our welfare state. The welfare system encourages women to marry the government and allows men to abandon their financial and moral responsibilities.

The problem is fatherlessness...... As long as blacks feel and act oppressed, as if they are under siege and behind enemy lines, little will change. The formula is simple, but it requires effort: hard work wins; you get out of life what you put into it; you cannot control the outcome, but you are 100 percent in control of the effort. Go to school, study, work hard, arrive early, stay late, pay attention to detail and be honest. That is the best "anti-poverty program" ever conceived..............To Read More....

'Uncle Tom' and the 'N-Word'

Which term is more destructive today?

September 25, 2017 Larry Elder 7

The pejorative "Uncle Tom" causes more damage than does the word "n——-.

"The "N-word," when used by a white person as an epithet against a black person, is an insult, designed to convey to the recipient that he or she is a second-class citizen. It is designed to make one feel inferior. But it hasn't worked. My parents, as did the parents of my friends, said no one can make you feel inferior without your permission. Lesson learned. For decades, tests measuring self-esteem show that teenage black boys and girls test higher than do white boys and white girls.

"Uncle Tom," on the other hand, when used by a black person as an epithet against another black person, is designed to do one thing and one thing only — to label that person as a traitor, a sellout, as a black person who colludes with white racists to undermine the success of black people...........How bad is this lack of critical thinking? During the O.J. Simpson murder trial, a New Jersey high school teacher wrote about the reaction to the case by his mostly black and brown students. Out of 110 students, only four thought Simpson actually did it. Whenever anyone dared suggest an alternative theory, that possibly Simpson himself might have murdered two people, he or she was denounced as a sympathizer for the wrong side............ Because of the intolerance of different points of view in the black community, we are not having a fact-based debate about the allegation of "systemic" racism in the criminal justice system.

The real "traitors" are those who continue to push a false narrative about the alleged "proliferation" of anti-black police brutality............The executive editor of The New York Times, Dean Baquet, a black man, recently acknowledged left-wing intolerance. "The left," he said, "as a rule, does not want to hear thoughtful disagreement." The black left, as a rule, does not believe that there is such a thing as thoughtful disagreement......... A Hollywood Christmas story

The following story is true. The names have been changed to protect the innocent.

I drove past the outdoor parking-lot-turned-Christmas-tree-store several times before I decided to buy my Christmas tree there. It was fairly close to my home in the Westside of Los Angeles, and business seemed brisk. Must be a nice place.   Soon I found a nice, fluffy, well-shaped tree. “How much?” I asked a smiling salesman. “$60,” he said, showing me the price tag I had overlooked, “Good deal.” Then he said, “Are you Larry Elder? Big fan.” “Guilty,” I said. “Is this your place?” “No,” he said, “I’m an actor, just doing this part-time to make a few bucks for the holidays.”

I’m always surprised when I meet non-left-wing actors, a rare breed in this town – especially those out of the closet. I asked how his career was going. “Mark” told me the names of a few TV shows and movies in which he’d appeared.  But lowering his voice, he said, “When you’re a Republican in this place, it gets tough.” He told me about jobs he felt he’d lost because someone told someone that he was “a Republican.” “I’m not even sure I am,” he said, lowering his voice still more. “But I know we can’t handle four years of Hillary.".......Read more at......

Chicagoland: Why no march for executed 9-year-old?

Larry Elder tells of boy playing in park when gang killers lured him to his death

In October 2014, 17-year-old Laquan McDonald was shot and killed by Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke.   The dash-cam video of the shooting was not released until a few days ago, when ordered by a judge. Right before the video’s release, the county prosecutor announced the intention to charge Van Dyke with first-degree murder. The excessive charge and the timing were done, presumably, to mollify potential protesters because the prosecutor called the investigation “ongoing.”……...on a warm Nov. 2 as 83-pound Tyshawn (Lee) played in Dawes Park near his grandmother’s Auburn Gresham home, prosecutors said. One of the three chatted up Tyshawn, walked with him to the alley and then shot him five times as Morgan and the third individual looked on from a black SUV....... the boy was targeted because of his father’s gang involvement.”  If anybody marched on the Magnificent Mile to protest yet another Chicago killing – this time the cold-blooded murder of 9-year-old Tyshawn – the media failed to notice........Chicago – so far – has seen almost 450 homicides, mostly black on black, and mostly involving young blacks. Incredibly, only 25 percent or so are solved.......A killing by a cop causes “activists” to hit the streets. But a black 9-year-old targeted and killed by three black gang members – no march. What about agitating against a welfare state that encourages women to marry the government – and men to abandon their financial and moral responsibilities?......To Read More….

Big Government: What does it take for America to wake up?

Axis of Indoctrination — Hollywood, academia and media

By: Larry Elder 7/17/2013

Someone did an experiment to test an old tale — that a frog placed in a pot of cool water, which is then slowly and continuously heated, will be boiled to death. By contrast, if thrown directly into scalding hot water, the frog jumps out. But it turns out that, no, once the water got hot enough, the critter hopped out of Dodge. This raises a question. At what point does the continuous growth and intrusiveness of government make people wake up? This is not just a matter of theory or philosophy.

People are hurting — as a direct result of President Barack Obama, his party and the inability of the GOP to make the case for a smaller, less expensive and less intrusive government. For five years, we have watched as President Barack Obama successfully pushed the following redistributionist agenda for building an economy: Take from the most productive to “stimulate” the economy by redistributing money, often with political consideration involved or attached; allow bureaucrats to pick winners and losers in the market; issue feel-good, top-down regulations that cost jobs and do little to improve conditions; and dictate the terms of health care with ObamaCare, a monstrosity that places one-seventh of our economy under the control of the federal government. The results are in.....To Read More......

The Latest From the Sage of South Central

By Larry Elder

Democrats to Blacks: Stay Angry, Vote Democratic

Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., once said: “George [W.] Bush is our ‘Bull’ Connor -- and if that doesn’t get to you, nothing will be able to get to you. It's time for us to be able to say that we're sick and tired, we're fired up and we're not going to take it anymore." Connor was a racist sheriff who sicced dogs and water hoses on civil rights workers in the ‘60s. Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., says Republicans "want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws.”

The tactic is as obvious as it is insulting. Tell black voters that “they” are out to “get them” -- and pull that lever for us Democrats so we can resist their racist attempt to undermine your success. Never mind that this kind of anger wrapped in paranoia -- assuming that others are out to get you -- is precisely the formula to undermine your own success.......

Barack Hollande

0diggsdiggDid the French just elect a self-described socialist who wants to raise taxes on the rich? Yes, they did. Is President Barack Obama asking for four more years with an economic philosophy similar to that of the new French president? Yes, he is.

In France, those earning over a million euros would face a tax rate of 75 percent. And one of Francois Hollande’s first acts as new president of France was to reverse his predecessor’s course and lower the retirement age from 62 to 60 -- this in a country whose projected unfunded pension liabilities for its living citizens are about $8.37 trillion, or 300 percent of its $2.774 trillion gross domestic product. The United States’ unfunded Social Security, Medicare and prescription drug benefits liability for its living citizens is about $50 trillion, or 333 percent of our current $15 trillion GDP....

Why the 'Disrespect' for President Obama?

0diggsdiggLast week, a “right-wing activist” (according to Michael Eric Dyson, guest-hosting for Ed Schultz on MSNBC) interrupted President Barack Obama as he explained his executive order that bars deportation for at least 800,000 illegal aliens who came to America -- “brought to this country by their parents” -- before the age of 16.  As Obama stood in the White House Rose Garden and outlined the plan, Neil Munro, a reporter with a conservative website, shouted, “Why do you favor foreigners over American workers?” Based on his colleagues’ reaction, one would have thought he’d thrown a shoe at the President. Reporters and pundits called him unprofessional, rude and even racist for interrupting Obama.

Economy: Obama Brags About Treading Water

After President Barack Obama said, “The private sector is doing fine,” he later quickly regrouped. “The economy is not doing fine [emphasis added]. That‘s the reason I had the press conference.” But Obama said he was particularly concerned about losses in the public sector.

The cluelessness is absolutely stunning.

Obama is wrong about both the private and public sector.   Obama’s assessment of the economy reminds many of 2008 Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s characterization of the economy. In September 2008, the investment firm Lehman Brothers was collapsing. Wall Street was shaking as the yet-to-be-declared recession deepened, but McCain said: “I think, still, the fundamentals of our economy are strong. But these are very, very difficult times.”

The Four Lies About the Economy That Obama Needs Voters to Believe

President Barack Obama’s re-election turns on his ability to convince voters that 1) Obama inherited a “Great Recession,” 2) every “independent” economist supported the “stimulus,” 3) “bipartisan” economists agree that Obama’s stimulus worked, and 4) as actor Morgan Freeman puts it, racist Republicans say, “Screw the country … we’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here” -- nothing to do with deeply held policy differences.

That’s a lot of merchandise to push.

1) Take this “Great Recession” business.
2) There is no disagreement.
3) Obama surrogate Steve Rattner recently said that Obama’s stimulus worked.
4) Democrats never tire of trotting out Senate Mnonrity Leader Mitch McConnell, who said his “single most important political goal” was to make Obama “a one-term president."
