Michael Mann caught telling a ‘porky’ to the court (again) in legal
filings
After being caught out
claiming he was a “Nobel Prize recipient” in his original complaint (then
having to retract it), it seems Mann and his lawyers just don’t have the good
sense to know when to stop. In this case Mann has been “hoisted by his own
petard”. His very own words condemn him. Again.......

Under pressure, Australian BOM puts up facade of “transparency” — too little, too late - Bottom line: The BOM has added a page listing “Adjustments”. It’s two years late, inadequate and incomplete. Skeptics shouldn’t have had to ask for it in the first place, and we still don’t have the algorithms and codes, or rational answers to most questions. No one can replicate the mystery black box homogenisation methods of the BOM — and without replication, it isn’t science. There is still no explanation of why an excellent station like Rutherglen should change from cooling to warming, except for vague “statistics”, or why any station should be adjusted without documentary ev... more »
Excuse #52 for ‘the pause’ in global warming – natural climate variability
as secular trends - Earlier
we added this to the list, now here is the description of the excuse. Basically
what they are saying is that natural climate variability has overtaken the
posited powerful effects of CO2 on climate. From the EU’s JOINT RESEARCH CENTRE
Last decade’s slow-down in global warming enhanced by an unusual climate
anomaly: A hiatus…
List of excuses for ‘the pause’ in global warming is now up to 52 - Updated
list of 52 excuses for the 18-26 year ‘pause’ in global warming (compiled by
WUWT and The HockeySchtick) An updated list of at least 29 32 36 38 39 41 51 52
excuses for the 18-26 year statistically significant ‘pause’ in global warming,
including recent scientific papers, media quotes, blogs, and related
debunkings: 1)… more »
Microscopic Diamonds Suggest Cosmic Impact Responsible for Major Period of
Climate Change -
WUWT
previously covered this story on August 29th, and also on September 20th, 2012.
This is a new press release from the University of Chicago today. A new study
published in The Journal of Geology provides support for the theory that a
cosmic impact event over North America some 13,000 years ago caused a major… more »
Untitled GREENIE WATCH Heavy pack ice in NW Passage ice creates tough conditions this year* *Traffic stopped* Icebreakers and cruise ships travelling through the Northwest Passage encountered rough sailing conditions this past week: heavy ice closed the Queen Maud Gulf between the northern coast of the mainland and the southeastern corner of Victoria Island in Nunavut. While the rate of ice loss during August in the Arctic Ocean overall in 2014 was near average, the Northwest Passage continued to be clogged with ice and was unlikely to open, the National Snow and Ice Data Centre said in its most recent...
The lost climate knowledge of Deacon 1952: hot dry summers from 1880-1910 - Once upon a time, Australian climate scientists discussed and published climate trends of the late 1800s. And lo, the long lost hot weather decades were apparent in many places in inland South Eastern Australia. While skeptics are accused of cherry picking data from Bourke, Rutherglen and Deniliquin, there are plenty of other examples. In the last post, the 1953 Argus story described hotter drier summers in Omeo, Bendigo, Hay, Bourke, Alice Springs, Echuca, Albury, and Cooma. Here is a Deacon et al peer reviewed graph of the long term trends at Hay, Narrabri, Bourke and Alice Spri...
Climate Craziness of the week: “We Have Five Years to Stop Building Coal Plants and Gas-Powered Cars” Written by Stephen Leahy at “motherboard” Here’s the frightening implication of a landmark study on carbon emissions: By 2018, no new cars, homes, schools, factories, or electrical power plants should be built anywhere in the world, ever again, unless they’re either replacements for old ones or carbon neutral. Otherwise greenhouse gas emissions will push global warming past 2˚C of temperature…
Editor's Note: I've followed this Anthropogenic Global Warming issue (changed from AGW to Anthropogenic Climate Change because reality didn't fit their model predictions) from the beginning, and I've watched insanity consume leftists, greenies, politicians, and scientists who sold their integrity for grant money. Scientists who have lost all sense of decency or personal honor to get more of it.
They have lied, twisted and obfuscated the facts, and personally attacked anyone who dared question their obviously corrupt “science”. Worse yet, as they were exposed they didn't ride off into the sunset in shame, they became even more virulent in their personal attacks on their critics. And where are the scientists who were so vocal in their support of AGW who abandoned that line when the truth finally became public and realized it’s all lies, fiction, politics and greed? They’re as silent as the dead.
Over the years I’ve noticed the two groups who are considered “leaders”, but are among the worst at real leadership. Oh sure, give them an assignment and they’ll carry it out magnificently, but they – as a group – have never had the courage to be rocks in the current. Who Are they? Career military officers and Ph.D.s. In order to advance in military ranks you have to go along to get along, and Ph.D. candidates who tell their professors they’re all wrong and worse yet – prove it – are doomed to having a Masters degree forever. Going along to get along became a lifetime habit, and just as the Russian scientists under Stalin acquiesced to the insanity of Lysenko’s loony science, they’re doing the same thing regarding the insanity of AGW.
Over 1800 years ago Marcus Aurelius stated that, "The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane." Nothing has changed.
