My Take – The author insists that Congress rein in the EPA’s ability to fund such studies. That doesn’t go nearly far enough. The EPA’s budget needs to be slashed by a minimum of 80% and their authority turned over to the various state EPA’s. My friend Dr. Jay Lehr, one of those who were part of the group that created EPA and wrote their first foundations pieces of legislation, says that the EPA is out of control and is doing things way beyond the legislative authority assigned to it by Congress. How did that happen? Lawsuits! Much of the legislative authority wielded by the EPA was given to it by the courts. As the greenies sued them the EPA became complicit in these suits in order to attain power never intended by Congress. How did Congress allow that? Easy….. no guts! Will they develop a case of guts now. Not bet the farm on it. RK
