Islamic Harmony Is An Illusion!

The Shiite-Sunni struggle itself is the direct result of the Sunnis’ own divisions.

On July 21, 2107, Kamran Bokhari published this article today July 21, 2107 entitled, "The Sunni Arab Crisis of Leadership" on the Geopolitical Futures web site saying:

Now that the Islamic State has been forced out of Mosul, Iraq’s Sunnis and historical leaders appear to be coming out of the shadows. Iraqi Sunni leaders held a conference July 15 in Baghdad to discuss the future of their community. Attendees included political blocs, tribal chiefs, lawmakers, ministers and governors. Predictably, the Shiite political forces that dominate the government were concerned about the gathering. What is more significant, however, is that the meeting laid bare the divisions within the Iraqi Sunni community.

The incoherence of the Sunni Arabs, the majority population of the Middle East, is at the heart of the region’s chaos. Their rifts have only widened since the 2011 uprisings in the region and made space for the emergence of groups like the Islamic State. So long as Sunni Arabs are at odds with one another, the Middle East will be in conflict.

Actually as long as Islam exists they will be at odds with everyone including themselves, and I don't care what flavor of Islam to which they belong.

He discusses how the British created these Arab states, who got the power and how any stability created in those regions was though force and brutality of the Baath Party of Saddam Hussein.  The same was true for Iran under the Shah and it's still true under the ayatollahs that rule now.  And the problem is Islam itself. 

I've quoted Winston Churchill's words often about his views of Islam and I've done so because unlike modern British politicians he clearly understood what Islam was all about.  In his book The River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Soudan, published in 1899 he says:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. 

Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

And nothing has changed.  The author points out:

The Middle East’s religious and ethnic sects are growing ever more polarized. The cost of liberating Mosul has been that, for the first time in Iraq’s history, the mostly Sunni city is under the control of a mostly Shiite military force. It is only a matter of time before the Sunnis’ disdain for the Islamic State is redirected toward the Shiites who now occupy territory that has historically been theirs.

He goes on to say:

The greater problem, however, is that these states don’t offer a viable political-economic model for the Sunni Arab world.

In reality there is no viable political-economic solution.  He blames poverty for much of the discord in the region, but I disagree.  It was the oil wealth that's fueled these terrorists.  The Muslim world's leaders hate each other and work to dismantle those who are of a different Muslim sect.  Take that money away and terrorists will go broke.  Will they stop entirely? No, but we must begin to understand these Muslim cultures are still functionally medieval tribal societies with modern weapons, transportation and communications following a religious movement that is in reality a criminal movement masquerading as a religion.

My solution is a universal declaration from western civilization that Islam is a criminal terrorist movement and then keep them poor, keep them isolated, keep them over there, and keep them unarmed as much as possible.  No matter which Muslim terrorist group pops up and is destroyed - there will always be survivors - and they will migrate into another group and repeat the same insane murderous activity that's destroying them and their societies...........as long as they're financially able to do so. 

As we look at the history of Islam one thing becomes clear.  They only respect power and those who exert  that power.  The Ottoman Empire kept these groups under control for hundreds of years with power and violence.  That's who they are, what they respect and apparently the only thing that works.  That's Islam!

We don't need their oil and they have nothing left to export except the dystopia existing in Muslim societies all over the world.
