Trayvon Martin cast himself a “gangsta.” Liars re-cast him as a “civil rights” martyr. Feb. 5, would have marked the 21st birthday of the lost soul, shot and killed at 17 as he attacked neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida. Had Trayvon’s parents not failed him, had he not viciously assaulted Zimmerman, he would be alive today – and he would not be poster boy for another myth propping up the illusion of “racism.”
Thousands of social media posts popped up in honor of the dead teen, including tweets from Bernice King, MLK’s youngest daughter. Bernice tweeted a photo of Trayvon in a hoodie, saying: “Thinking of #TrayvonMartin and his parents on today. He would be (and should be celebrating his 21st birthday).”
