· Nasa study shows tropical forests absorb 1.5 billion tonnes of CO2 a year
· Rainforests absorb more than half of CO2 taken up by vegetation globally
· Scientists previously believed tropical forests
emitted carbon dioxide
· Researchers claim their findings emphasise the need to protect rainforests from deforestation to help counteract human greenhouse gas emissions

Tropical forests are growing faster than scientists thought due to rising levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. A Nasa-led study has found that tropical forests are absorbing 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide every year as they photosynthesise and grow. And this is far more than is absorbed by the vast areas of boreal forest that encircle the Arctic…..Read more:
My Take - No matter what else is said here we need to understand plants worldwide, including those agricultural plants we need as food, will do better with more CO2. It's also better for wildlife and the environment as a whole since it will take less land to grow more crops. Isn't that what the environmentalists want? Or is it they really don't have a clue about what they really want except the elimination of human kind. Or is it they're so confused they suffer from multiple layers of cognitive dissonance? Just a thought!
