For many years I have been pointing out that Global Warming was a hoax. Back in the early days people just rolled their eyes and snickered. That is changing, but one might ask; how could a mere “bug man” be so sure? It was easy. Actually, most things aren’t as complicated as they appear. The key to understanding complex problems is to have the ability to reduce them to their simplest possible terms. Find the root of the issue and you will find the answer. In this case, as in most cases, the answer was in history.
First off, we have to understand that the Earth has no “normal” temperature. These scare mongers were asked over and over again; What is the Earth’s temperature supposed to be? They had no answer because the Earth has been shifting temperatures all over the place for thousands of years. How did that happen? Clearly this is a “normal” cycle. My friend James Marusek discusses these cycles in his article, Solar “Grand Minima” Threat Analysis.
There was one piece of logic that I found compelling. We know that the Medieval and Roman Warming periods were both substantially warmer than it is today. What caused them? If it wasn’t manmade it must have been normal. Then I asked; did any of the terrible things they are predicting for today occur then? There is absolutely no historical evidence that any of the disasters they are predicting occurred then. Then I asked; if these things didn’t occur then; why should be expect them to occur today? Clearly the answer was; we shouldn’t!
I haven’t linked much on Global Warming lately, and I think that is because the truth of this has taken on a life of its own, so I guess I don’t feel I have to deal with it anymore. However, I have linked three articles below covering three areas that I feel will define this whole issue, and all three of these need to come together to make the world see reality. One deals with an investigative history of Global Warming.
The first one was sent to me by William Kay. I’m on his e-mail alert list, for which I am grateful. Kay does a great job on greenie history, and I have linked his works a great deal over the years. In fact most of the articles linked in “The History of Environmentalism” are his work. The second deals with the scientists and was sent to me by Jan Castanza and the third deals with the media, which was sent to me my J. Johnson. I would like to thank all three of them all for their interest.
Laframboise and McKitrick on the IPCC - By William Walter Kay - The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is at the forefront of the global warming hoax. IPCC Assessment Reports are gospels to politicians and journalists. Two recent publications – investigative journalist Donna Laframboise’s woefully titled The Delinquent Teenager who was Mistaken for the World’s Top Climate Expert, and economics professor Ross McKitrick’s What is Wrong With the IPCC? – slam-dunk these Assessment Reports into the dumpster. What follows is a collated, abridgement of these two documents.
No Need to Panic About Global Warming - There's no compelling scientific argument for drastic action to 'decarbonize'. Editor's Note: The following has been signed by the 16 scientists listed at the end of the article:
A candidate for public office in any contemporary democracy may have to consider what, if anything, to do about "global warming." Candidates should understand that the oft-repeated claim that nearly all scientists demand that something dramatic be done to stop global warming is not true. In fact, a large and growing number of distinguished scientists and engineers do not agree that drastic actions on global warming are needed…..Although the number of publicly dissenting scientists is growing, many young scientists furtively say that while they also have serious doubts about the global-warming message, they are afraid to speak up for fear of not being promoted—or worse.
Body Blow To German Global Warming Movement! Major Media Outlets Unload On “CO2 Lies!”“ - "THE CO2 LIES … pure fear-mongering … should we blindly trust the experts?”
That’s what Germany’s leading daily Bild (see photo) wrote in its print and online editions today, on the very day that renowned publisher Hoffmann & Campe officially released a skeptic book – one written by a prominent socialist and environmental figure.
