Even to the most casual observer it must be clear the Democrats have fielding a really weird radical group of clowns. It's almost as if they they have a Republican mole inside the party deciding who should run. On October 15, 2016 Patricia McCarthy posted this article, The frenzied, disordered American left, at American Thinker, and she hit all the high points about leftist's corrupt thinking and hypocrisy saying:
If the 2026 midterm campaigns have brought anything to light, it's the chaotic, two-faced nature of the now-Marxist left. We know that they will go to any lengths to protect illegal migrants, no matter how violent. No matter how many crimes they commit, they release them onto the streets of their sanctuary cities and blame ICE for ay injuries incurred when these illegal criminals attempt to flee rather than submit to law enforcement.
She went on to hit all the high points about the insanity of leftist thinking. They care more about illegal aliens, including those committing heinous crimes than they do Americans. They've made it clear they will not stop in their efforts to create permanent unsecured open borders for whomever wishes to come here, even if they're here to commit acts of terror, not to mention those like the Somali's who've reaped billions of American tax dollars through fraud.
Their outrage over affordability is "hilarious", especially they outrage over fuel prices. These are the same people just a few years ago insisted on.... and worked for.... the price of gas to be raised to ten dollars a gallon to prevent global warming. And they all cheered as if this was a good thing, including one of the greatest hypocrites of all.... Barack Obama. Another gigantic scientifically fraudulent scare in an effort to impose a socialistic form of world governance under the auspices of the United Nations.
That progressive paradise commonly known as California has closed one refinery after another, as a result they're approaching nine dollars a gallon. Who should bear the blame for that, and why isn't the media screaming about affordability there?
They oppose drilling, they oppose fracking, they oppose pipe lines, they oppose building new refineries, they oppose the importation of oil. They oppose sanity.

They hate Israel falsely accusing them of genocide, but they love Iran where protestors are arrested, found guilty of treason and shot, provided they didn't get shot while protesting, and where Christians really are being persecuted, which is easily proven, a violation of the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 18). Yet they're still a member of the UN, even worse, Iran "was unanimously elected as the chair of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Asia-Pacific Group in January 2025".
A nation that since the fall of the Shah of Iran has chanted Death To America unendingly, and for almost 50 years they have funded and supported terrorist groups in an effort to make that happen, and tried to develop nuclear arms to make that happen. They claim Iran would have never used the bomb. And they know that how? But even if they didn't, does anyone actually believe they wouldn't have armed one of their client terrorist groups with a nuclear device, including those willing to commit suicide in the process?
The frenzied thinking of leftists is universal, as Patricia discusses the Lindsey Clancy jury saying:

That just is not how the world is supposed to work. We are living in an upside-down world.
She discussed the Cornell "rape" case, which as more information comes out the claim of rape is heading into the toilet since it's been shown that:
Jane Doe believed that orgies like the one at Cornell are acceptable? That they are normal? Jane Doe’s own account of that night certainly indicates she thought it was all well and good and had no concept of the cost -- her self-respect? ....... After years of feminist preaching sexual freedom, instructions and advice from the likes of wicked women like Alex Cooper of Who’s Your Daddy, these mistresses of sex advice now act shocked! Shocked! And furious at what they hear of what occurred at that frat party when they have been promoting exactly such “sexual freedom” for years and years.
Frenzied minds care little for history, facts, or reality. The damage done to this nation by Obama, who is an incompetent Islamist/Marxist disgrace and has always been, will haunt the nation for decades. He’s managed to turn race relations in America back with his race hustling and race baiting to the point the nation is on the path to a national race war. His ability to turn stability into chaos is almost legendary…. and they gave this dingle berry the Nobel Peace Prize.
Their tolerance for what Joe Biden did to destabilize America, and in point of fact the world, is beyond comprehension. Under his guidance 20 million illegals entered the nation, all the while claiming the border was more secure than ever, which even the most casual observer could see that was a lie. His policies created higher cost for energy than we're seeing now, and his nod to Putin for a "small incursion" into Ukraine created the mess they're blaming on Trump.

Jack Smith's story is the story of Biden's tyrannical administration:
I think his actions tell a lot about the left's mindset. They believed they would win the White House in 2024, just as Hillary did in 2016, so they didn’t have to worry about all those silly laws they were breaking. Because another Democrat administration wouldn’t investigate and/or prosecute them for their illegal behavior. An unending pattern of thought for the Democrats.
For all these people, and I include those far higher than Smith, to be brought to justice the nation needs an AG who has a mad dog in the meat market mentality. A fearless AG who can willingly face the slings and arrows shot in his direction and has no desire to be popular. If Jack Smith is guilty of treason, and I don't quite know what else you can call it, then those who enabled and/or promoted his corrupt actions must also be guilty of treason. Even if the charge isn't treason, he's clearly guilty of something substantial other than lying to Congress, and they all need to be charged with any crimes for which he is responsible under RICO. I don't see how this can't be considered a criminal conspiracy.

That checks out......... My Take - I think it’s important to realize Jack Smith didn’t originate any of this illegal “big brother is watching” stuff. He merely copied it and expanded it. No matter how much they deny it, or misrepresent what they do as a cover story, this kind of stuff has been going on since the creation of the FBI (1908). In 1924 Hoover took over as Director and launched illegal spying into a much higher level. It was expand by the OSS (1942) which became the CIA (1947) and made far more effective by the NSA (1952). Have no doubt every President since the creation of these agencies has taken advantage of this with the exception of Teddy Roosevelt who created the FBI. In 1960 I was fourteen when I saw the two hour historical documentary movie, Mein Kamph, which detailed the rise and fall of Hitler and the Third Reich.... and the Holocaust atrocities. That was the first time I saw film on the bodies being bulldozed into mass graves, and that image never left me.
Then in 1961 I saw the Judgement at Nuremberg, a fictionalized trial that featured factual events, surrounding the trial of the judges who sentenced so many to death and concentration camps and were being tried for crimes against humanity. That never left me either.
This is a picture that was taken on October 1936 of Berlin judges swearing an oath of allegiance to Adolf Hitler saying:
“I swear I will
be true and obedient to the Fuhrer of the German Reich and people, Adolf
Hitler, observe the law, and conscientiously fulfill the duties of my
office, so help me God."
Under the guise of justice and obedience to the law, they knowingly perpetrated vile crimes. Spenser Tracy played Dan Haywood, the Chief Judge in a tribunal that found all the judges guilty, and at the end of the trial he stated regarding Judge Janning, a once prominent and respected German judge:
Janning's record and his fate illuminate the most shattering truth that

depraved perverts - if the leaders of the Third Reich were sadistic
monsters and maniacs - these events would have no more moral

I just watched the latest Nuremberg movie with Russell Crowe, and the thing that ends up standing out in this movie exemplifies the words of the fictional Judge Haywood about the ability of perfectly normal people to commit very real crimes so heinous it boggles the mind. There are two primary characters in this film being portrayed; Herman Goering, the former Reichsfuhrer, and a psychiatrist, Dr. Douglas Kelly, and they were real.
After all of his interviews with Goering and the other defendants, all found guilty of heinous crimes and sentenced to death, he concluded "these personality types were not unique to Germany and could
easily emerge in any society—including the United States—if given the
right political climate." I think events are showing he was absolutely right. We can determine what people will do by what people have done in the past, and right now there are antisemitic and anti-Christian mobs appearing all over America, and many areas of the world, which is being promoted by the left via their elected officials, the media, and what I think is the most staggering truth is that it's rampant in academia.
The world wanted to believe "evil was an eradicable, abnormal disease, not an extension of ordinary behavior", when in reality his research showed "humanity itself harbors the seeds for such atrocities." What do we see unfolding right before our eyes? Andrea Widburg published this article yesterday, The venerable Oxford debating society has fallen to the barbarians, noting:
After claiming the West, and not Islam, is more violent, Aisha Khan Aziz tells Tommy Robinson the mob outside would kill him if it weren't for security. The students applaud.
She went on to clarify what in effect this woman was really saying:

allowing you to live........ Once the leftists got their talons in, England died as surely as it
would have had the Nazis won WWII. And of course, the great irony is
that the new UK leadership aligns perfectly with the Nazis, for it is a
socialist tyranny that is anti-Western, anti-Christian, and antisemitic.
In America we have a sitting justice on the Supreme Court, Judge Gorsuch, who has abandoned originalism.... again, claiming America isn’t a Christian nation, in effect saying the foundational principles that created America aren't based on Judaic/Christian principles. Another Biden Judge has legalized ISIS attacks in America, and this destructive pattern keeps playing out all over the nation.
COVID has revealed a lot over the last year and a half, but no country has been exposed more for its underlying culture of tyranny
than Australia. Formerly a beacon of freedom, community, and beautiful
landscapes, the land down under has morphed into a dystopian hellscape
where the government blesses its residents with an hour of free time a

On March 5th Andrea Widburg posted this article, The UK’s race toward Islam continues as now England, and King Charles, a rumored convert to Islam, and the official head of the Church of England, is putting the month long Muslim celebration of Ramadan on the same level as holidays traditionally celebrated by Christians. All in order to appease a Muslim population that overwhelmingly identify as Muslims first over being British, and their goal for the UK is to be governed by Islamic law.
The abuses the UK government is heaping on their citizens is shocking. There's been a request for an openly, and official, two tier system for criminal sentencing. One of you're white and Christian, and another " if you are an ethnic minority, you might avoid jail altogether. It amounts to bias against white men and Christians. "The opposition minister Robert Jenrick said that there is a “blatant bias against Christians and straight white men”. While the UK Sentencing Council has rejected this plan, but the radicals never give up, as the Justice Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, has urged the Sentencing Council to review the guidance.
And if they refuse, Mahmood has threatened to legislate to give the government powers to overrule the council, and she's getting support from the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer saying he was “disappointed” with the
Sentencing Council’s refusal to change guidance and that “all options
are on the table” over how the government might respond. The question one has to ask is what has caused the British elite to hate their own people and their nation so?
Freedom of speech, it's gone! If you dare express an opinion that doesn't conform to the destructive direction these misfits are taking the nation, they police will come and arrest you, as one parent who faced this called it ‘Kafkaesque’.

The far left lunacy of the UK Govt against free speech even includes an effort to prevent foreign companies to end free speech or face penalties, with their Online Safety Act, which has nothing to do with safety, except to keep them safe from being exposed for their corruption and insanity. Censorship is being practiced all across Europe, and people are being punished for daring to speak up, and they want this to be the standard in the U.S. also. Safety is the red herring, tyranny is the the reality.
Today, women, and especially children, are raped and branded
in broad daylight in many English towns. The vast majority of the
perpetrators are young Muslim immigrant men. Despicably, the
‘authorities’ cannot yet be roused to do anything
about it. London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, has essentially stated, “Well,
that’s just part of living in a large, vibrant and diverse world city.”
Excuse me?! Islam directs that infidels are to be either converted,
enslaved, or killed! And so, the British have a choice: stiffen up or go
down. Salvage
their Christian heritage or become part of a new Muslim caliphate.
When Europe fell in love with the scientifically fraudulent insanity of global warming they set a course for economic collapse for themselves, and they must openly acknowledge the Paris Climate Agreement was doomed from the start, which Trump understood during his first term and dumped it, and did it again this term.
It's being reported the Brits are desperate for their own Donald Trump, and many think Farage is the man, as he's launching his campaign based on deportations, DOGE, and tax cuts. Will it happen? Or will the UK elite decide lawfare the left attempted against Trump is in order to get Farage arrested as has been done in Brazil,Turkey, and now in France preventing LePen from running in 2027.

William Galston, the liberal columnist for the Wall Street Journal‘s editorial page (they always like to have one around) writing every so gently yesterday
on the need for Democrats to pay attention to the legitimate grievances
of populism lest they get buried in a populist electoral tide:
“Powerful forces in the Democratic coalition oppose crafting the sort of moderate policies that could win back these [working class]
voters. But if Democrats refuse to compromise, the alternative may be
something like the recent right-wing populist surges in Europe.”
Good luck with that compromising, Bill. The progressives own the Democratic Party now, and are in no mood to compromise. (start video at the 25 second mark):
His
argument about returning government back to 1920 levels is a logical
fallacy. No one is suggesting that so it's a non sequitur, simply a
distraction to avoid attacking the outrageous size of large government
and it's abuses of the Constitution, which have been massive, corrupt, and so often fraudulent in nature.
But the fact is there's
no reason why the federal government should have over two million
employees, and that doesn't include all the contractors or grant
recipients, especially in the scientific community where government
grant money has made scientific integrity an oxymoron.
If
the Departments of Commerce, Labor, Energy, Housing
and Urban Development, Transportation and especially the Department of
Education were totally eliminated that would only amount to about 52,500
employees. So, please don't tell me the remaining 1,947,463 employees
are really all that necessary, especially since the vast majority work
in the defense/intelligence community, and we're seeing the consequences
of that, as noted in this piece by Dan Mitchell of an out of control FBI and Department of Justice.
We're now finding the FBI is deliberately hiding documents the new AG Pam Bondi has ordered released, and whistle blowers are claiming the FBI is destroying evidence! Not to mention the abuses of the CIA and NSA, all of which has led to a massive levels of deep state corruption, which is now being exposed far beyond what even those of us who have written about their corruption could have imagined.
That doesn't count those actually serving in the
military, about another million and a half, along with another eight
hundred thousand reservists.
Maybe we should be demanding 1920
levels of government, and those reductions should include local and
state governments, which currently employs another 16 million people,
then maybe we can return to the past and get a 1950 level of government
as a compromise.
Over
the last five years, American, British, Canadian and Brazilian
governments unleashed unprecedented waves of repression against
political opponents using martial law, military occupations of major
cities, government censorship of the internet, nationwide manhunts,
televised raids and extended detentions without trial. Most of those
arrested were guilty of political speech and protests generally far less
violent than leftist riots by regime supporters.
Three
of those leftist governments, the Biden-Harris administration, the
Starmer and Lula regimes, unleashed crackdowns after taking power using
various pretexts. The fourth crackdown, in Canada under the Trudeau
regime, took place during an election year.
The pretexts, J6,
Brazil’s election protests or the UK’s anti-migrant rallies, are far
less significant than the pattern of leftist regimes taking power and
launching crackdowns against opponents who disputed elections or, in the
case of the Starmer regime, protested against policies. Governments
that moan about “authoritarianism” abroad eagerly adopted every element
of the authoritarian playbook from endless investigations of political
opponents like Trump and Bolsonaro to declaring states of emergency over
political protests and censoring speech. They often justify their
authoritarian measures as necessary to stop their “authoritarian”
opponents.
The leftist regimes that have taken to locking up
people who merely express support online for opposition political
protests are not averse to chaos, social unrest or riots. Before J6,
Kamala Harris and every prominent Democrat and media outlet had endorsed
BLM race riots. In the years since, leftist mobs have routinely invaded
the United States Capitol, intimidated members of Congress, occupied
their offices and fought Capitol Police officers in the name of every
cause from banning oil to supporting Hamas with little result other than
light slaps on their wrists.
In the years before Trudeau used
martial law to silence truckers protesting against vaccine mandates, BLM
rioters had been allowed to block streets in Canadian cities with the
backing of the regime. No less a figure than Trudeau had ritually knelt
to the race rioters and their cause.
Before and after the Starmer
regime launched a ruthless crackdown on opponents of mass migration,
Hamas supporters had rallied and rioted across London and other cities,
threatening Jews and proudly flying the flags of Islamic terrorist
organizations officially at war with the UK. None of these Muslim mobs were hunted, rounded up and sentenced to years in prison.
Met
Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley, who had defended his officers
warning Jews not to be present near Muslim terror rallies because they
were “visibly Jewish”, vowed to use terrorism laws and unleash the “full
force of the law at people” for protesting Muslim migrant violence.
The only ones who can’t face terrorism charges for political rallies in the UK are actual terrorists.
The
law that Rowley, along with Justice Minister Shabana Mahmood of the
Starmer regime, follow might best be described in the words of a former
Latin American strongman, “for my friends, everything; for my enemies,
the law.”. Starmer’s actions have shown who his friends in Hamas
bandanas are and they have also shown that the law is reserved for his
enemies.
In the first stage of authoritarianism, the law is
applied unequally, in the second stage of authoritarianism, inequality
is written into the law, and in the final stage, the regime is the law.
America,
the United Kingdom and many other formerly free nations are falling
under the shadow of the first stage of authoritarianism. Numerous
‘Reichstag fires’ are used to declare temporary states of emergency
during which civil rights and limitations on government powers do not
apply. These experiments in totalitarianism took off during the
pandemic, but did not begin then.
Trump’s election victory and
the success of Brexit led to the launch of censorship regimes in America
and the UK. Free speech on social media virtually disappeared for
ordinary people and became the province of a handful of opposition media
outlets and influencers big enough to merit special exemptions from the
rules inflicted on everyone else.
In America, once the home of
free speech, the Biden-Harris administration and its liberal and leftist
political allies have taken to arguing that the government has a ‘free
speech’ right to take away the free speech of the people by telling
social media monopolies to censor them.
In a 6-3 pre-election
ruling, the Supreme Court allowed government agencies to resume the
practice that censorship apologists have termed ‘jawboning’ of federal
agencies telling social media monopolies to censor administration
opponents. According to the Biden-Harrs administration, one of the
“cornerstones” of its “power” is to “persuade Americans—and American
companies—to act in ways that the president believes would advance the
public interest.” And sometimes the public interest requires censoring
politically incorrect jokes.
“In 2021, senior officials from the
Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured
our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor
and satire,” CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently admitted.
A furious media lambasted the social media founder for undermining the
administration’s contention to the Supreme Court that Facebook and other
companies had been acting independently, rather than obeying government
diktats.
CNN condemned “Mark Zuckerberg’s election-season gift
to Republicans”. The issue, media outlets argued, was not speech, but,
as media outlets insisted, “disinformation” or “misinformation” that
threatened “public health” or “national security”.
Free speech is at least still a subject of debate in America even as it has disappeared overseas.
The
UK’s Online Safety Bill, originally billed as protecting children,
mandates that social media platforms censor whatever the Starmer regime
and Justice Minister Mahmood may deem to be hateful or harmful content.
Platforms will be required to scan even encrypted messages and use
algorithms to see to it that no one sees disapproved political speech
anymore.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who had no objection to Muslim
mobs targeting Jews, claimed that he did “not feel safe” after
opposition anti-migrant protests and demanded government censorship that
would go even further in silencing critics across the internet.
In
Brazil, Justice Alexandre de Moraes, a controversial figure who helped
the current leftist regime seize power, banned Twitter and leveled
massive fines on any Brazilians who use the service. As the New York
Times described him, “Alexandre de Moraes, a Brazilian Supreme Court
justice, has taken up the mantle of Brazil’s lead defender of democracy.
Using a broad interpretation of the court’s powers, he has pushed to
investigate and prosecute, as well as to silence on social media, anyone
he deems a menace to Brazil’s institutions.”
That is what democracy has begun to look like in what used to be the free world.
Elections
in which the two sides are held to very different standards of speech
and tactics are held under the shadow of mass media propaganda and
government censorship of opponents. The final results are determined by
media outlets, unelected officials and partisan judges. If public
dissatisfaction with the establishment is so high that the conservatives
win despite mass fraud, bloc voting and every dirty trick in the book,
the left spends four years rioting in rage while its unelected
officials, including judges, find every possible way to undermine the
government.
If the leftists win, they promptly declare an
emergency and claim that democracy is threatened by free speech, popular
protest and the existence of any opposition to their unlimited power.
The
only thing free about any of this is that there are still elections and
people are still allowed to vote in them. But democracy, as residents
of North Korea’s Democratic People’s Republic of Korea could tell you if
they had any free speech, isn’t actually freedom. Bringing democracy to
Iraq just turned it into a totalitarian Islamic state run by the Shiite
majority. In actual free countries, people have more political freedom
than just casting a ballot once every few years.
A democracy
without a meaningful political opposition able to speak out, advocate
for its views and protest is like a race with only one runner. It’s the
end of a contest, not the beginning of one.
“I avail myself with
relief of the opportunity of speaking to the people of the United
States. I do not know how long such liberties will be allowed. The
stations of uncensored expression are closing down; the lights are going
out,” Winston Churchill had warned in a speech about Nazism in 1938.
Eight years later he returned to America to deliver an even more famous
speech.
“From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic,
an iron curtain has descended across the Continent,” Churchill warned.
“In these States, control is enforced upon the common people by various
kinds of all-embracing police governments, to a degree which is
overwhelming and contrary to every principle of democracy.”
Under
the iron curtain, the “great principles of freedom” had been abandoned
under which the people of any country have “free unfettered elections
with secret ballot” and “that freedom of speech and thought should
reign; that courts of justice, independent of the executive, unbiased by
any party, should administer laws which have received the broad assent
of large majorities.”
Churchill’s warning was ridiculed by
leftists in the same timeless fashion that they do today. Labour
parliamentarians introduced a censure motion against Churchill for
ruining relations with the USSR while the New York Times argued that
American democracy and Communism “have much to learn from each other.”
The Times has certainly learned much from Communism. “The
Constitution Is Sacred. Is It Also Dangerous?” a recent New York Times
column argued. It rests alongside recent Timesentries such as “The First
Amendment is Out of Control” and “Elections are Bad for Democracy.”
What is good for democracy? Tyranny and lots of it.
That iron
curtain no longer hangs only over Russia and China, but over Churchill’s
England, and the places in America where he once spoke, along with the
rest of the world.
“Alexander the Great remarked that the people
of Asia were slaves because they had not learned to pronounce the word
‘No,’” Churchill reminded Americans.
“No” has become a forbidden word to the people of the formerly free world.
When
Churchill’s Englishmen tried to say “No” to PM Keir Starmer, they were
locked up. The world watched as their homes were broken into in
televised raids.
When Canadian truckers tried to say “No” to PM Justin Trudeau, he declared martial law.
And when Americans tried to say “No” to Biden-Harris, they were sentenced to years in prison.
An
iron curtain is descending on us. It tricks us, lies to us, manipulates
us, gaslights us, propagandizes at us, and when that fails, it outlaws
us, censors us and it imprisons us because those who would make us into
slaves in their utopia fear one word above all else.
“No,” a word that shattered the original iron curtain can shatter this new one too.
At 10:45am on Monday the 20th August 2023, I was sat at
the desk in my teaching room, thinking about what electro-junk to pack
for a family holiday in Greece. All of a sudden, I came over queasy.
“I don’t feel very well,” I said to Mrs Gabb.
“How don’t you feel very well?” she asked.
The answer was that I was feeling queasy, and then queasier than ever I could remember.
I am told that I lurched forward and stopped breathing. My own
recollection, between looking down at a USB stick and sitting in a
different position with an aspirin in my mouth, is of absolutely
nothing. There had been no blackness with a continued perception of
time. It had been like no kind of sleep. There had been a minute or so
of nothing. As I began wondering what had happened, my wife was shouting
into the telephone, arguing with the emergency services. I blinked and
suggested that I was perfectly fine. I promptly blacked out again. This
time, I remained semi-conscious. I was aware I had stopped breathing,
and I told myself to start again. My wife tells me I was taking in
terrible gasps and looked as if I were dying.
Almost at once, an ambulance arrived, and two women gave me an ECG
examination. They said my heart was going at about thirty beats a
minute, and that my blood pressure was dangerously low. I asked if there
was any evidence of a stroke or heart attack. They said there was none,
but that I might die unless they took me straight to hospital. I
thought about this. I had suffered no pain in my chest or left arm, nor
any confusion or loss of vision. But the assurance of possibly immediate
death was alarming. So I went off in their ambulance to the nearest
main hospital, where I spent eight hours with my women and a shifting
cast of kind and attentive but broadly incompetent persons of diversity.
At last, someone who spoke English came into the room to confirm I had
suffered neither a stroke nor a heart attack, and that I showed no signs
of diabetes or anything else in the blood tests. After this, I
announced that we were going home.
No holiday to Greece the next day. Instead, my women lectured me on
how everything was somehow my fault, and that I should drink less coffee
and sleep more. Over the next week, I visited half a dozen medical
specialists. They all confirmed that I was in apparently perfect health.
After the last set of tests, they agreed with my own explanation, and
told me to be more careful in future.
We did eventually get to Greece, for a very nice fortnight at the end
of October. The weather was more like a good English summer than my
usual experience of the Mediterranean. There were almost no other
tourists. We drove about the Peloponnese on empty roads, and walked for
hours through empty museums. We climbed to the top of Mistra with no
company but a busload of Chinese students, to whom I gave a lecture on
Byzantine history.
But this is a digression. I have mentioned my own explanation of what happened. I suppose I should give this now.
At the end of July, I had asked my dentist to put a crown on one of
my crumbling teeth. He did this, and it hurt almost at once. I took the
pain as something that would pass in a few days. But we went off almost
at once to Slovakia, where the pain continued and grew steadily worse.
It was the worst pain I had ever suffered, and words fail to describe
how bad it was. It grew so bad that I began to wake up in the middle of
the night when the painkillers had worn off. I would then stay awake for
an hour, reading Homer until the next dose of aspirin began to take
effect. After a week of this, I went to a Slovak dentist, who ignored my
clear instructions and pulled out the wrong tooth. After this, I
decided the painkillers were a better option than having all my teeth
extracted one after the other.
On the journey back to England, the pain grew even worse. I had made
an emergency dental appointment for the one day between returning from
Slovakia and setting out for Greece. Back home on Sunday evening,
though, I decided to give myself some relief from the pain by going to
bed with a cocktail of codeine, paracetamol, aspirin and ibuprofen. The
pain went away, but I woke up covered in sweat and feeling
sick. I repeated the dose, ignoring all prior evidence that ibuprofen
did not agree with me. Sure enough, the dose took effect and I fainted.
I think it was the ibuprofen – though the codeine may have helped.
The other day, I woke up with a stiff neck. I took the opportunity
presented. I rubbed in a small amount of muscle cream that contained
five per cent ibuprofen. Within half an hour, I had turned red all over,
and was fighting for breath. Before then, I felt as sick as on the day
of the fainting attack. Mrs Gabb was displeased, though it was useful
confirmation of my own earlier diagnosis.
So, I can sit here, reassured of better health than many men of
advanced years and sedentary habits can boast. But does this explain why
I have given up on libertarian activism? Not really. The reason for
that is that the possible window for libertarianism that opened in
England during the 1970s has closed. If the national collapse we now
face is to be avoided, it will need less gentle solutions than I have
spent my life recommending. I do not plan to remain silent forever, but
think silence a sensible choice until after the next election.
The Conservative Government that came in after the 2010 election was
led by men whose only plan was to get into office by lying to their
electors, and then strike a deal with the Blairite Establishment. They
would let this Establishment continue ruining the country in ways I do
not need describe. In return, they would be left alone to grow rich from
bribes and insider trading. They and their parasites wanted as easy a
life as they could arrange. These arrangements involved a purge of real
conservatives and of libertarians, who might otherwise embarrass the new
project.
I was not the only victim of this purge. But it was souring to have
my novel contracts cancelled and my existing novels remaindered, and
almost to lose my teaching position when someone who later became a
person of importance in the affairs of this realm – perhaps the same
person who had approached my publisher – told the senior management at
my place of work that I was a “right wing extremist.” Because I am one
of the few people alive who can read and explain classical texts on
sight, I have not been put out of work. Even so, the easy circumstances I
had reasonably expected from my writings have not returned, and, while
my health continues, I must earn my daily bread as a teacher of Greek
and Latin.
As often as I look at the news, I burn with outrage. I choose for the
moment, though, to say very little. I recent years, I suspect, I have
been forgotten. I have no wish to be remembered now by men who never had
much scruple when I knew them, and are now part of a network that shows
decreasing respect even for the lives of those who get in their way.
The next election, it seems, will be a wipeout for the Conservatives.
I cannot see any recovery from the scale of the betrayal they have
delivered since 2019. There will then be reckoning with the projectors
and agents of this betrayal, and I will join in the denunciations with
spotless hands. Until then, I will remain as silent as I can manage.
Not quite the same as the old Dark Age. The old Dark Age happened when
the corporate governmental structure of Rome collapsed, allowing hordes
of tribal heathens to overrun what had been the empire’s domain. Today’s
Dark Age is instead happening because modern governments continue to
become ever more powerfully intrusive into what used to be private
affairs, using their assumed authority to enforce some sort of
contrived orthodoxy and thus moving towards politicizing just about
everything.
This is particularly obvious in the various fields of science. Having
previously been the means by which civilization crawled out from the old
Dark Age, science today is festooned with corruption. Back when it was
tasked with the objective process of unraveling the mysteries of our
world, science flourished. Nowadays science is largely in the business
of acquiring politically controlled government grants. Exploiting
various sexy fields of study to provide politically useful data and
conclusions -- even if their accuracy is suspect -- is the key to
professional success. Weather and climate are obviously at the top of
the list for this kind of work. In spite of all this, there still are
some non-governmental interests that manage to privately fund research,
mostly to develop profitable and patentable innovations… much as in the

Some progressives would be happy to see conservatives dead. Why? Because we strongly question
government's role, direction, intent, and motives and resist the control
they wish to exert on us. We're an existential threat to their
endgame. No longer free, Constitutional citizens, they intend us
to become sterilized worker bees; if not, we're a threat to the hive and
must be eradicated. They think they can make you disbelieve your eyes
and ears, believe you're just imagining all the changes, hoping you'll
go back to sleep as some have.
We live in a civil society where the Rule of Law
was to be our universal bedrock guarantee even as it dissolves right
before our eyes through government actions and inactions. Thousands are
dying in the streets through unrestrained violence and drug use. In
Chicago, they're even trying to set up a specific time of day when it is to shoot each other!
Politicians' mouths move, words come out,
but their actions reflect their partisanship, not their citizenship.
Too few see the venom of the Left as revealing their real endgame.
President Trump wasn't responsible for any of this. Trump was like a
truth elixir that revealed what was always there for others to see. The
Left was/is working like subterranean termites eating away at our
foundations.
The progressives want to end anyone and anything
that stands in their way of a reimagined America as an exemplar for the
rest of the world. They hope other countries will copy or be forced to
adopt their ideas for a New Utopia, which is much more malign: 1984 made
real. The reinvention of America is a necessary step toward one world
government run by elites, all while wearing the trappings of the
'caring' Left. Their policies are designed to carry the votes of women,
minorities, and especially the idealistic or disenfranchised young who
seek security and free stuff above all else.
The evidence is
clear. More people each day see the truth as civil society devolves
around them. And they are frightened! The suspension of gravity and
disbelief evident for so long is slowly ending, and they know it.
Conservatism is all that stands in their way. To
win, they must not only demagogue and parse our history and the meaning
of truth itself but fool the masses into believing everyone can have it
all without effort or smarts. Conservative courts, conservative
politicians (as few as there are), our very Constitution, capitalism,
and our history of success in every meaningful way, including economic,
military, and social, are the enemies they must destroy.
Destroying
anything that keeps them from their goals is all that matters now.
Even incarceration of their enemies is acceptable. And they have
succeeded—hundreds of political prisoners in this country today, with
virtually none prior. As the thoughts and actions of aberrant worker
bees are uncovered, the state will punish them or even shoot them dead.
This is not hyperbole. Is this America? Indeed, it is not the America
in which anyone over 50 grew up in.
The truth of what I say plays
out daily by an over-hyperventilated media that seemingly revels in
every facet of Trump's persecution. Can the public not see that the
destruction of Trump is symbolically the destruction of our Republic?
Never before has the state undertaken this kind of political murder
that, if successful, could see Trump sitting on death row based on his
age. If the state could figure out how, do you have any doubt they
would do that? Does anything restrain them any longer? This may be our
last warning.
The weapon of the Left/Progressives is debt
and the big lie. Yes, we can cancel your student debt. Yes, we can
give you money to purchase overpriced food through SNAP.
Yes, we can guarantee a minimum income. Yes, we can level out outcomes
regardless of ability. Yes, we can take away your means of fighting
back. Yes, we can pick winners and losers. Yes, we can destroy
livelihoods and traditions for the good of humanity. Yes, you can rob,
loot, and burn to your heart's content if you're on their side.
It's
your right and obligation to fight against anyone who would tell you
that you don't have to produce value to live well or that you can be
anything you want, anytime you want. Yes to this and much more because
the individual is being hunted down in America, and anyone who disagrees
is an enemy of the State. That's the Left's essential narrative.
Publishing these words will likely put me on
some government list. I don't care; I suspect I've made the list
already. We live in a surveillance state, ostensibly to protect us.
Still, if that is how it started, and I no longer believe that for a
second, it's morphed into something hideous, destructive, vile, and
counter to our Constitution that puts the rights of the individual above
those of the state. You do remember your civics lessons, don't you?
Individual rights were to be supreme in our country. Correct?
The
government and its politicized organs like the FBI, some intelligence
branches, the political process as it works today, and the
administrative state no longer serve the interests of the individual,
our capitalist system, or our country. Slowly but surely, Europe,
Australia, Canada, and other previously free nations have drunk the
Kool-Aid and are moving in a perilous direction driven by known and
unknown individuals and groups diametrically opposed to our
Constitutional republic, motivated by a different God than mine.
Want even more proof? CNN
endlessly reports on the danger of the MAGA agenda, according to their
god, President Biden. They say that people who espouse these lies are
"extreme" or "out of touch." It is not difficult to understand that MAGA
is Biden's way of saying 'dangerous' or 'subversive.' What does the
government do about dangerous and subversive elements? It targets,
hinders, prosecutes, and incarcerates them when possible. Sometimes,
the outliers don't go down quietly, as 75-year-old Craig Robertson
found out over death threats allegedly made against the president and
other Democrat political figures as published on social media. Expect
more of these tragic incidents as worker bees stand up against a
government that attempts to strip away our rights and traditions.
The
way forward is to organize and coalesce around the best leader with the
strength and vision to return us to our former glory. Trump is the
imperfect person I dare not try to change. What I admire about Trump is
that his rudder is true, and his motives and actions mirror my desire
to see our country saved from those seeking its destruction. There may
never be another candidate that is crazy enough, strong enough, or
harder to intimidate than Trump.
These qualities, almost above
all else, are why I think it is inevitable that we must return Trump to
power. Four years is not enough to defeat the forces against us; Trump
must select a running mate competent to finish the job. Who will that
be? That might be the best question of all.

In 2013 it was reported that about80 percent of NYC high school grands can't read well enough for community college,
to the point they had to take remedial reading, writing, and math.
That's after 12 years of being in the grip of
teacher's unions in public education, which in 2013 cost $20,331 per student per year. It now
costs $38,000 per student per year. In ten years that cost almost
doubled.
In that year, out of all of NYC graduates, eleven thousand students applied for community college, and had to take the remedial
courses, and "we assume" they can now read, write, and do basic math. But what about those who didn't apply? They still can't read,
write, or do basic arithmetic. And how many was that?
Try
and find out the number of students who graduate from NYC high
schools. I can't, no matter how I worded the question. I got a lot of
percentages, but no total number of graduates. I did find one site
that claims in all of the state of New York there were 175,866 graduates
in 2021, which seems small, so whether that's accurate or not I can't say, but we can use that number as a basis for calculation and draw some valid conclusions, since we at least have the percentages.
I did a little back door analysis. The State of New York has 19,184,000 residents and NYC
has 8,468,000. That's about 44% of the state of New York's population. So I
calculated 175,866 times 44% and got 77,381. That was for 2021, and
since so many have fled NYC that number may be smaller than in 2013, but
either way, I think we can use that as a basis for my speculatory analysis.
That means 80% of those 77,381 graduates, there were 61,905 kids who
graduated who couldn't read, write, or do basic math. If 11,000 applied for
community college, and took the remedial courses, that means over 66,000 students graduated devoid of
the basic skills necessary to succeed in life, and most likely never acquired those skills.
Currently it costs "New York's average private school tuition is $19,543 per year
(2022). The average tuition cost for a private elementary school is
$19,728 per year, while the average tuition cost for a private high
school is $25,153 per year."
So, students
managed to graduate high
school without mastering basic skills? Really? How did they "manage"
to graduate without those skills? Oh.....wait..... I know, I know.
They graded themselves. Right? Isn't that the way it must have been?
After all, no competent teacher would give a passing grade to a
student that didn't earn it, would they? Public education is a
disgrace, teachers over all are a disgrace, teacher's unions are a
corrupt disgrace, government bureaucrats overseeing all of this are a
disgrace, and quite frankly, criminal in their willingness to tolerate this.
There is one consoling note though. The unions have practically
bankrupted the school systems, they've protected lazy, incompetent, and
intellectually inferior teachers to the point it's obvious to the most
casual observer, and as a result the time for retribution is nigh!
Let's try to get this right. If these people were turning out nuts
and bolts instead of students, manufacturers would reject them at the
loading dock.
The parents of Maryland's Montgomery County Public Schools, filed a law suit demanding to be allowed to decide if their children would have to....have to.....be exposed to books promoting
"LGBTQ+ ideas and behavior to children in Kindergarten through 5th grade." The court ruled against them. After 150 years of insidious corruption the left's ultimate goal of being the absolute moral arbiter for America's children is now here.
We've completely lost our minds, and it isn't just in America. The mental instability of leftist thinking has infected all of western civilization. Here's some of what I've been reading over the weekend, and I think this compilation will confirm a diagnosis of terminal institutional insanity of western civilization.
Transgenderism
On Sunday Eric Utter published this piece, Dare to acknowledge reality at your own risk, where a coach had the audacity to claim men who claim they're women will "typically outperform women in sports." Well, that's a Duh statement of biological fact! Right? Not if those in power are insane leftists as those at the Woodstock Union High School. It turns out they claim it's a violation of their "harassment and bullying policy—for
referencing a student “in a manner that questioned the legitimacy and
appropriateness of [a] student competing on the girls’ team.” Yes,
because that student is a boy. "
Imagine that, claiming a boy really is a boy. Shocking! Eric went on to say:
People
in power are now routinely punishing those who are not for stating
obvious truths. There is no clearer indication of institutional
corruption than that. And there is no clearer sign of impending societal
collapse.
Reject modernity, embrace tradition. For all of human history,
if a family man who faced a crisis of identity were to indulge himself
and desert his wife and children to live out a fantasy, he would be
branded a disgrace … and rightfully so. Selfishness is not, and has
never been, a virtue — until today’s contemporary leftists came along!............The

advocates, with Tracy exposing the reality of what it’s like to be a
wife left picking up the pieces after a husband and father comes out as

we see here is a total embrace by professionals and officials of a
fantasy, and one that has long term negative consequences which will be devastating to society, and to so many of these individuals.
Pandemic
As I said, this 1984 insanity isn't just an American mental disorder. In Germany a judge ruled against the German government’s mask mandates, saying:

a two-year suspended prison sentence for allegedly “perverting the

It turns out he had the audacity to seek out the advice of scientists and experts on the subject. How outrageous is that? And it gets worse. Prosecutors aren't satisfied. They want stronger penalties. Sieg Heil! Obedience to the state is the overriding theme of leftism, irrespective of facts, reality, or morality, and I do wish more people saw one of the finest movies ever produced, Judgment at Nuremberg.

Judge Dan Haywood: Herr Janning, it "came to that" the first time you sentenced a man to death you knew to be innocent.
The left is now and has always been evil. That's history and that history is incontestable.
Illegal Immigration
If there ever was an issue that highlights the flawed foundational values of the Biden administration, leftists and the Democrat party, this certainly ranks high up on that list. While sending billions to Ukraine, spending untold amounts of money on illegal aliens, providing for all their needs; housing, food, medical care, even efforts to fund higher education benefits for them, we find the disability claims of 32,000 veterans have been delayed claiming it's all a processing problem. Some have died waiting for them to fix this "processing" problem. Well, maybe the nation's heroes should be put on the same list as illegal aliens. Maybe that would speed up that process.
I keep thinking at some point America will reach the The Inevitability Factor: When Reality Reaches It's Apex. Then I find a poll claims 42% of Americans think Joe Biden is doing just fine. Is it a corruption of the polls, or is it possible 42% of the nation can be that stupid? Answer? Both!
In New York they're finding all this "virtue signaling feel good sanctuary" stuff for illegal aliens has consequences, and guess what? They're in a crisis. Imagine that! Mayor Bass, claims, failing to punish criminals isn't the cause behind all the retail theft destroying L.A. Of course her pro-crime policies have nothing to do with this massive upsurge. No, it's because these companies are making money, hense, that forces thugs to rob them. So, what's the solution? Don't sell $10,000 purses and that won't force thugs to rob you. Simple, or simpleton?

checks, gun owner licensing, and gun storage laws, and yet what do we find is the foundational problem? Culture! I think his actions tell a lot about the left's mindset. They believed they would win the White House in 2024, just as Hillary did in 2016, so they didn’t have to worry about all those silly laws they were breaking. Because another Democrat administration wouldn’t investigate and/or prosecute them for their illegal behavior. An unending pattern of thought for the Democrats.
For all these people, and I include those far higher than Smith, to be brought to justice the nation needs an AG who has a mad dog in the meat market mentality. A fearless AG who can willingly face the slings and arrows shot in his direction and has no desire to be popular. If Jack Smith is guilty of treason, and I don't quite know what else you can call it, then those who enabled and/or promoted his corrupt actions must also be guilty of treason. Even if the charge isn't treason, he's clearly guilty of something substantial other than lying to Congress, and they all need to be charged with any crimes for which he is responsible under RICO. I don't see how this can't be considered a criminal conspiracy.
