Many ivy league and ivy-like universities could not survive without international students who pay in full for their leftist education. This is a major reason why they turn a blind eye to radical anti-America, anti-Semitic protests.
India sends the most students while China sends the most undergraduates. It’s not just tuition and books, but these students spend money on rent if they live off-campus, food, clothes and many other items that bolster a local college economy.
Note: Ivy league refers to EIGHT universities, all located in the northeastern United States: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell and Penn.
Schools with the most international students as a share of full-time undergraduate and graduate students (2023):
Illinois Tech 06,571 51%
Carnegie Mellon 14,517 44%
Columbia - 28,756, 40%
John Hopkins - 16,830, 39%
Caltech - 02,463, 32%
M.I.T. - 11,706, 30%
Harvard - 20,807, 28%
U.S.C. - 41,648, 28%
Penn - 23,948, 27%
Princeton - 08,849, 24%
Yale - 14,854, 24%
Berkeley - 41,572, 17%
What these numbers tell us is that international students—many from nations that hate the United States of America—is big business. It also tells us that higher education is an export, but we know it’s not an export that promotes America’s Judeo-Christian values that founded our nation. If a liberal from 1960 showed up in 2025, he’d be considered a conservative. If a liberal from 2025 showed up in 1960, he’d be considered a dangerous lunatic.
