Bismarck Understood! - or - Are We There Yet?

By Rich Kozlovich

Image result for bismarck the iron chancellorOtto von Bismarck was the Iron Chancellor of Germany from 1873 to 1890 and died 1898, and some historians think WWI would have never occurred if he lived long enough.  Who knows for sure, but I disagree since it was Wilhelm II who fired him because he opposed Bismarck's, "careful foreign policy, preferring vigorous and rapid expansion to enlarge Germany's "place in the sun".  It seems to me Wilhelm II, the Kaiser with the withered arm, had an axe to grind and no one was going to stop his aggressive desires.

As for Bismarck, I found some of his quotes profound, especially for that time. He understood what so-called leaders of today - who've had the insight of history and current events clearly don't understand - geography creates paradigms and the demographics that are the key to understanding what and why nations do what they do.

Here are some quotes by Bismarck:

What we learn from history is that no one learns from history.

As we look at the number of college students - the nation's future leaders - demanding we "Feel the Bern" supporting a Marxist lunatic, and wearing shirts with Che Guevara or Fidel Castro on them, we can glean a few things from this.  Stores that will sell shirts with the faces of Che and Fidel,  two of the 20th century's biggest mass murderers, but won't sell Confederate flags, which demonstrates how deep the corruption goes into American society.  These loons didn't learn anything from history because they aren't taught history.

When we've allowed the entire education system to become infested with left wing loons and radicals, something that's been historically foundational to leftism from the beginning of its existence, why would we expect anything different?  We have the history of how and when this started in the United States, so why didn't these alledged "really smart, highly educated" leaders do something about it?  The question is - do they even know the history?  Probably not!   Just because the history is there for the taking doesn't mean they know it.  You can't learn from history when you don't know what history says.

The most significant event of the 20th century will be that the fact that the North Americans speak English. The Americans are truly a lucky people. They are bordered to the north and south by weak neighbors and to the east and west by fish.

Everything that's been made a national issue has been leftist attempts to destroy the American identity. Because of our geographical location and the number of navigable rivers the United Sates - coupled will our Constitutional philosophy of individual rights - from the very beginning America was a natural capital generator.

America’s geographic location also gave the nation something Europe never had. Easily defended borders for the very reasons Bismarck stated. When a new nation doesn’t have to spend huge amounts of money to defend its borders that money goes to capital investments. Is it any wonder the U.S. could turn on a dime and produce the mass of material needed during WWI and WWII? But that's not what the left wants. They hate America's military and have infested it with corrupt personal at the highest levels. And now we see the completely predictable and thoroughly anticipated corrupt outcome "political correctness" has made on the nation's military.

So, to destroy America they attack the American identity attempting to turn this nation into a Balkanized territory by promoting “victim classes” that must be catered to and appeased.

But that never ends.

There’s never enough appeasement or victims for the left. As a result, the Balkanization continues and the money spent to appease those who can’t be appeased continues to drain capital from the system.   Their goal is to bankrupt America in order to overturn the Constitution and install a socialist government that will turn over America’s wealth and land over to the international community under the control the United Nations in support of failed socialist states.

Whoever speaks of Europe is wrong: it is a geographical expression.

It seems clear to me Bismarck would have understood - there could never be an European Union that would stand the test of time.  There are far too many differences among those who inhabit Europe, and not just cultural.  Language is a primary component for the unified people, which is why the left is constantly demanding we refuse to make English the only official language, and even demanded a language that isn't a language - Ebonics - be taught in schools.   To devide a unified nation into a nation of bickering tribes with no real sense of unified identity.

Name one successful socialist state.   Those socialist states that have survived abandoned outright socialism and adopted capitalist modifications.  But the foundation of socialism is central planning run by a brilliant elite who can think for everyone - and the state owns eveything!  Therefore they can distribute it as they see fit.  So, even with capitalist modification socailist states can't survive.

Why?

Because they eventually run out of other people's money.

Europe is what the left wants America to become. A geographical expression with no sense of nation or identity to be exploited by the greedy, ruled by the incompetent, corrupted by the elite, while being lauded and followed by the stupid. All of whom are insane.  Why insane?  Because if doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity - then the left is insane - with a huge complement of stupid!  And stupid can't be fixed.
