Annapolis, MD; June 25, 2014 – The Entomological Society of America (ESA),
the largest organization in the world serving the professional and scientific
needs of entomologists and related disciplines, applauds President Obama’s Presidential Memorandum: Creating a Federal
Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators, which was released last
Friday.
“Ensuring a productive and healthy pollinator population is a national
priority," said Dr. Frank Zalom, President of ESA. "It's critical to both
the U.S. agricultural enterprise and the overall economy,”
The memorandum directed the creation of a Pollinator Health Task Force,
co-chaired by the Secretary of Agriculture and the Administrator of the
Environmental Protection Agency with representatives from federal agencies,
including the Departments of State, Defense, Interior, Housing and Urban
Development, Transportation, Energy, and Education, plus the National Science
Foundation, and the Office of Management and Budget, among others.....To Read More....
My Take - The ESA must be full of blithering idiots. There is no peril here except the peril behind the hidden agenda of an irrational, incompetent, feckless, power hungry administration and the misanthropic green movements overwhelming and irrational desire to pass more regulations banning GMO's and restrict pesticides.
