How is the great crusade to bring accountability to the IRS coming along? According to Eliana Johnson at National Review, the Director of Rulings and Agreements, Holly Paz, just became “the fifth Washington D.C.-based IRS official involved in the current scandal to leave her position.”…… Well, it sure does sound like she had to go. What became of former Director of Rulings and Agreements Paz? Run out of town on a rail? Tarred and feathered? Hung on the rack and forced to read Maureen Dowd columns until her mind broke, and she began referring to herself as “Reek?”…….Oh. So American taxpayers with unfashionable political views may yet be at her mercy. I don’t see anything in there about punishment or reprimand. Politico also has a story about Paz, and they don’t know what happened to her, either. They inquired with the IRS, but the agency “didn’t immediately respond to questions about the personnel change.”
What about the other four scalps claimed by this scandal in Eliana Johnson’s tally? Did I miss some sort of bureaucratic massacre while I was writing juicy emails to keep the boys at the NSA Department of Omniscience entertained?....To Read More…..
My Take - The older ones among my readers will remember the old black and white movies where the crime boss hands one of his hit men a wad of money and tells him to "get out of town until things cool off". After all, he didn’t want him caught and possibly talking. That's what happened to Lucky Luciano and his prostitution ring. After raiding over 200 brothels in New York City they arrested a bunch of lower level people and threatened them with lots of years behind bars. They talked! This smells much the same way. However, at some point someone is going to be arrested.
It is clear that the IRS has committed crimes and those crimes were not accidents committed by low level people. When those low level people are eventually thrown to the wolves they will start talking. The problem the high level people will have is how to stop them. Make no mistake about this. During the Roosevelt administration there were a lot of traitors working directly for Joe Stalin promoting Soviet and Chinese Communist interests to the detriment of America. Some of those people were officially investigated, attempts were made to arrest and try them, and some went to trial. With the exception of traitors like Alger Hiss, most of these efforts were thwarted and came to nothing by people in the Roosevelt and Truman administrations. This is what’s happening now.
One more thing. What about those ones during FDR's reign who recognized the treason going on and attempted to do something about it? Most of them had their careers destroyed, or stopped cold. What is going to happen soon is not going to be pretty. And the media will play a big part in all of this. This will be the final chapter between the mainstream media and the pajama media. All will be made clear after this. I expect to see newspapers go out of business even faster than before, and I expect to see 'news' channels end their reign and even end their runs.
One more thing. You might find this post, IRS Buying Spying Equipment: Covert Cameras in Coffee Trays, Plants, thought provoking. Can it be possible the IRS is attempting to monitor their employees more closely?
