Washington, DC –
Last night, the House passed H.R. 3, the “Northern Route Approval Act,” which eliminates the need for the President’s approval to move forward with construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-OH) released the following statement regarding the passage of the bill:
“The Keystone XL Pipeline project will undoubtedly create thousands of American jobs and grow our economy. I am pleased that the House has acted to move forward with this much-needed project that will provide a stable source of energy, reduce our dependency on unreliable foreign oil, and lower gas prices. The Keystone XL Pipeline, which is funded entirely with private investment and boasts bi-partisan support, is a win-win for hardworking American taxpayers.” – U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-OH)
