My Quotes of the Day

By Rich Kozlovich

Some have probably noticed that I have not said anything about the debate.  Why bother? That has dominated the airways and the print media.  However, I do have a funny bone and this really tickled it.  This will (hopefully) be the last and only comments I will post about that embarrassment.  I would love to know what Joe’s wife thought.  I am inclined to think she just smiles and bears it, since he says and does so many …… well….. strange things on a continuing basis.  Things he claims to believe and mean.  At any rate, I have linked together some quotes by Jim Geraghty, from his National Review Online Morning Jolt - October 12, 2012 that I just had to share.

It was a weird debate, in that one candidate’s personality so totally dominated the proceedings that your reaction to the debate will depend almost entirely by what you think of Joe Biden when unplugged. It will not surprise you that I’m not really a fan of Joe Biden, and in fact periodically have a hard time getting my head around the fact that he is a heartbeat away from being entrusted with the launch codes for the United States nuclear arsenal.  Am I the only person in Washington who fears that the vice president is mentally unstable, and/or on some sort of intense, mood-altering medication? The vice president apparently prepared for this debate by inhaling nitrous oxide and sticking a fork in an electrical socket.  But years of watching the Delaware senator reveal that when fully unleashed, he is loud, condescending, obnoxious, full of himself, not nearly as well-informed as he thinks he is, and sometimes weird to the point of creepy. - Jim Geraghty

As for a view that resonates from Brian Wilson;
A focus group of 26 undecided. If our fate is in the hands of these willfully unfocused minds, the Republic is surely doomed. If four years of economic hell have failed to rouse a public to outrage, a vice presidential sideshow is unlikely to stir it from the stupor of apathy. A once Great Nation raped of its wealth and future has come to accept government as its savior. Rest assured, come November whether Republican or Democrat, the government will be preserved at the expense of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.  Another evening I'll never get back…
Nuf Ced!
