We are not French

It has become fashionable to equate the French and American revolutions, but they share absolutely nothing beyond the word “revolution.” The American Revolution was a movement based on ideas, painstakingly argued by serious men in the process of creating what would become the freest, most prosperous nation in world history. The French Revolution was a revolt of the mob. It was the primogenitor of the horrors of the Bolshevik revolution, Hitler’s Nazi Party, Mao’s cultural revolution, Pol Pot’s slaughter, and America’s periodic mob uprisings from Shays’ rebellion to today’s dirty waifs in the “Occupy Wallstreet” crowd.

My Take - The French Revolution and the philosophy behind it was the philosophical foundation for socialism. I didn't say intellectual foundation you will notice. And the reason why is that the left has no intellectual solid rationale. It exists to have power and will change on a dime and follow the latest philosophical flavor of the day, even if it means contradicting everything they claimed to believe the day before. Why? Since socialism is atheistic in nature it rejects the very concept of right and wrong. Nothing is always right or always wrong because they have no moral base as a touchstone. Since they have rejected morality based on sound theological morality, any new morality that will gain them the power they seek is perfectly acceptable.

Socialism is an infectious disease of the mind and spirit, and is deadly.  Socialism destroys the mind, and saps the spirit. Socialism is a secular religion with a misanthropic vision to destroy all that is good within humanity by undermining religion and parental authority. That way the state will be the final moral authority…only the socialist state has no moral philosophical foundation to which they will unendingly adhere . Socialism promises godless utopia, but all socialist societies eventually turn their citizens into frightened, impoverished, enslaved surfs. They ultimately impose godless dystopia!
