P&D and The Week That Was

Truth is the Sublime Convergence of History and Reality

De Omnibus Dubitandum, (Everything is to be questioned!)

We're seeing a lot of hoohaw from the left regarding Trump's taking over the crime control in Washington DC, and his suggestion he may do the same thing in Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and the governors and mayors of those cities proclaiming how they will not allow it to happen, and Philadelphia's  Soros pro-crime DA Larry Kasner claiming he'll prosecute the National Guard.   Well, good for him, he finally found someone he's willing to prosecute.  Which is really comical since they're in effect declaring they really like all that crime and violence erupting in their cities, especially all that criminal activity of illegal aliens, who they're saying they will protect no matter what.

But it's my view Trump has no intention of sending in the National Guard to these cities , to which Posse Comitatus does not apply, but he's broken the back of the Democrat party by forcing them to embrace a love of crime and violence.

In Washington DC he really does have jurisdiction, but not these cities.  There are serious legal restrictions against that, including how he can declare martial law.  So, why is he saying these things?  It's the old Trump Engagement with Reality strategy.

Trump has forced the nation's Democrat leadership to support crime by opposing the administration’s crime-cutting efforts in Washington, DC but now even Democrat Mayor of DC is thanking Trump for the drop in crime in her city....well.... actually it isn't her city it's the federal government's city, that's who owns DC.

This is a huge turn around for her as she's seeing the hand writing on the wall.  The residence of DC love what Trump has wrought. I will be publishing a piece of the back and forth on this next week.  But as for right now, DC residents are loving it.  As Andrea Widburg's article, With the National Guard, D.C. residents are living the Singapore life, points out saying:

What’s happening in D.C. introduces Americans to the idea that, if the rule of law is applied, urban life need not be a life of fear............In addition to being rich, Singapore is famous for its strictly enforced laws, all of which are intended to create a harmonious environment free of crime and civil strife. If you do the crime, you do the time. There is no wiggle room. Just look at what happened to Michael Peter Fay, an American in Singapore in 1993, or Oliver Fricker, a Swiss national in 2010, if you want to know how that works.

And the courts are responsible for much of this mess in America.  In St. Louis Demond Taylor, who gunned down a police officer, has been releases on $5,000 bond, and in New York another lower court ignores the Supreme Court regarding the Second Amendment, and the courts are filled with corrupt political hacks such as this one who is blocking Trump's effort to expand speedy deportations of migrants.  These are criminal aliens and they have no rights under the Constitution, which the left is attempt to change via judicial activism.  More to come on that front.

Here's a video everyone needs to see showing what a disaster the wind turbines really are.  The warming mongers are destroying the world, not saving it, and the number of birds being killed by these cuisinarts, including endangered species, is massive.

Remember when the High Priest of the Church of the Warming Globe, Al Gore, claimed “the science is settled”, on global warming.  Well, he was right. They're claiming the experts are surprised their predictions were wrong.   Horsepucky!  They weren’t really surprised at their failed predictions!   The science was settled alright, because behind the scenes they knew their claims were a load of horsepucky because they created that horsepucky. So, they weren’t really surprised, they just acted surprised because the first rule of criminal behavior is… never give up the con.

But that horsepucky generated the most important thing that exists in science today. Grant money.  These grant chasers will sell anything the grantor demands, and global warming was one of them, which was one of the greatest scientific frauds ever perpetrated on humanity, and a lot of us who said so right from day one and have continued to say so in spite of being called called Luddites, Flat Earthers, and had our intelligence and integrity called into question and destroyed the careers of scientists who had to courage to stand up and say it was a fraud.

What really needs to be done is for the federal government to charge these scientists with fraud.  They took government grant money and lied, and it not only cost trillions of wasted dollars, it cost lives. Ten years or so ago in Bulgaria during a severe winter people froze to death due to a lack of available energy.  Someone needs to be held accountable for all that.

In spite of the massive exposure of all that fraud, leaders in American cities will not let go.  Why?   The left loves the "we're all gonna die" chaos.  If the left can’t promote chaos, they can’t take control. If the media doesn’t promote their claims of chaos they can’t take control. If the media goes down the drain, and it is, their only hope for control is violence, and that’s what’s taking place right now.   To embrace leftism requires two things, lack of knowledge, and an utter lack of common sense…. and being insane doesn't hurt either.

Hundreds of United Nations staffers from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights are demanding Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.  Which I really find rich since over the years nations who are committing crimes against humanity sat on the Human Rights Council, and not one word was uttered against them.

As bad as their international problems are, right now it seems to me Israel’s real problems are internal. This is a country with thirteen political factions in Israel.  Factions as far as I can tell that are a bunch of political parties with sufficient numbers to be in and out of the Knesset!  But it gets worse, in total, there are a 149 political parties in Israel.

The current government was created via coalitions, and some are walking away from that coalition which means new elections.   There are demonstrations demanding the end to the war no matter the costs to bring back the hostages, their economy is suffering, and their military is seriously stretched and exhausted.  But the big thing is if there's no united vision in a nation at war, that nation will suffer defeat.

As I’m watching this play out in Israel and the demonstrators demanding an end to the war, and a return of all the hostages no matter the cost, I expect to see Israel return to the same kind of insane government that existed before Bibi was elected, which I cover in four “Anyone But Bibi” commentaries.  Can Bibi hold it all together long enough to win? We’ll see.

America is ending the Five Eyes intelligence sharing agreement with England, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, and for good reason.  Truth be told, even though I had no inside information, it seemed clear to me that relationship was in serious trouble for some time, and I commented the US needed to abandon that a long time ago.

Why?

They’re all socialists, and for some time they’ve been  playing patty cake with China, and taking anti American positions.  It was clear to me they were not to be trusted.   As a result, it was easy to take that next step and think they’re being traitors to their alliance with America.

We need to ask ourselves; would it be a good idea to share highly sensitive intelligence with the EU nations?  If not, then why would it be good policy to keep sharing intelligence with England, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.  People are what they do, and they are not our friends or our allies.

If anyone doubts who the biggest kid is on the block, this should settle that.  In a meeting with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, UK, Finland, Netherlands, and Ukraine involving with issues involving the Russo/Ukraine war Trump asked Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission to leave the room.  "His reasoning was blunt: “We only want to talk to leaders.”   How many of these "leaders" protested such a move? Not one.

I really love this article, at least part of it, by the I & I Editorial Board, Trump Gets Dems to Make ‘Earthshaking, Gobsmaking Concession’, saying:

Trump has gotten Democrats to make “an earthshaking, gobsmacking concession to common sense that cries out to be capitalized on.” To wit: that corporate taxes aren’t paid by corporations, they are ultimately passed down to employees and customers in the form of lower wages and higher prices.  No matter what you think about Trump’s tariffs, winning this concession from Democrats must be celebrated...........Now that we all agree that both tariffs and corporate taxes hurt American families, let’s start cutting them both.

For years I've said corporate taxes are a hidden tax on the poor, because corporations don't pay taxes, they raise prices.   As Leona Helmsley said, "only little people pay taxes", and she was right, although she got carried away with herself and violated tax laws.   As for their comments on tariffs, time has shown Trump's tariffs have actually benefited America's economy, which I will have a piece on soon.

The 2026 midterms are upon us, already, and I don't think I've ever seen more requests for funds as I have now, and so far from the actual election, and from all over the nation. Sen. Joni Ernst is stepping aside in 2026, and while she was a staunch conservative, no one is concerned as it's believed that will remain a Republican seat, and Murkowski is being challenged in 2028 for her seat by Alaska's current Governor, Mike Dunleavy, which should be interesting to watch since Murkowski got elected though a lot of back room scheming with Mitch McConnell, that won't be in play in 2028, and the ranked choice voting system, which ultimately affords Democrat voters the opportunity to vote for Murkowski on the second and third ballots.   Is it any wonder she promised to vote for the Democrat running for Congress against Sarah Palin.  The woman is vile.

There's a whole lot more going on, but that will be for another day.  As for today I have 13 pieces of my own, which I think are insightful, and 15 by others that are well thought out and presented.  And I  would like to draw you're attention to my friend Tom Harris' newsletter, What's New with ICSC and ICSC-Canada.  Tom has been fighting the global warming energy battle for a lot of years, and it's worth your time.

Starting September 1st I will be reverting to a daily, P&D Today, The World as I See It, and the reason why is so much is going on I can't do justice to all that information currently.  I will have a final on Saturday with "The Week That Was" listing all the articles and a commentary.

Have a good weekend,

Agree that President Trump will NOT send the National Guard to any blue-run city that is drowning in crime. He knew that from the get-go but is making the mayors and governors embrace crime and support criminals. Still the people most hurt by crime and who can't vote with their feet will vote Democrat - as we will soon see in New York City.
