Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, is expected to send a letter Thursday morning to the IRS commissioner demanding a halt to "harassment" of conservative organizations. Sen. Mike Braun, R-IN, cosigned the letter.   The letter comes after the IRS informed the American Accountability Foundation (AAF) in a letter, which AAF shared with Fox News Digital, that it would launch an investigation into the watchdog group Sept. 14.  The IRS notified AAF it would inquire whether the organization "operates in accordance with section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code," according to the letter.

"But, to date, the IRS has neither presented any evidence that AAF has failed to observe the requirements of section 501(c)(3) nor explained why AAF may be at risk of failing to observe those requirements," Vance wrote in the letter.  Sen. "I do not need to remind you that the AAF audit follows on the heels of an ugly chapter in the IRS’s history, during which the agency unfairly targeted conservative groups for scrutiny on the basis of their views," he wrote.

Vance seeks information from the IRS about potential bias in selecting audits, citing historical instances of IRS bias against conservative organizations. One example Vance cites was in 2017 when the agency subjected conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status to heightened scrutiny and significant delays.   The IRS admitted to targeting these groups based on their conservative viewpoints beginning in the 2010s, leading to a cleanup of the agency's top leadership, the letter noted......To Read More...

My Take - This corruption of America's law enforcement agencies is deep and unbridled.  We're seeing massive evidence of a dual justice system in play.  Here are some of the pieces I've been saving to show how true this is.

Selective prosecution against Trump - November 14, 2023 By George Shuster-  There are two brief but powerful statements about law and justice etched in stone upon the two buildings in Washington, D.C. which house those most responsible for carrying them out. On the Department of Justice building, on its most visible Pennsylvania Avenue side, these words appear: "Where law ends tyranny begins." On the Supreme Court building we behold: "Equal Justice Under Law." Both of these precepts can only have authentic meaning if selective enforcement of the law for improper purposes is avoided. Where law ends is where discretionary enforcement begins, and it will be tyranny if carried out selectively for improper ends. Equal justice under law also cannot exist if carried out with such selectivity......

Jim Jordan Subpoenas Bank of America over Giving Bank Info to FBI After January 6 -Sean Moran - House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) on Thursday subpoenaed Bank of America (BoA) after the major banks shared American banking information to the FBI without legal process in Washington, DC, around January 6, 2021. The Judiciary Committee said that BoA, voluntarily and without legal process, provided the FBI with a list of individuals who made transactions in the D.C. area using a BoA debit or credit card between January 5 and 7, 2021.........The committee’s findings contradict the BoA claim that the information provided to the FBI went through a lawful process:...........

Ex-Aide: DOJ Asked Court to Hide Surveillance of Congressional Investigators By Eric Lendrum A former Senate investigator recently revealed that the Department of Justice (DOJ) tried to ask a federal court to cover up its efforts to spy on Congress for five years straight. Just The News reports that Jason Foster, the former chief investigative counsel for Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the Senate Judiciary Committee, came forward on Tuesday with his revelations. Foster, who now leads the Empower Oversight center for whistleblowers, said that lawyers with Google provided him with documents confirming that the DOJ asked a federal judge to delay notifying him that his own data had been subpoenaed in a federal leaks investigation; these requests continued for five consecutive years.................

A politically driven Department of Justice and its abuse of the Westfall Act November 14, 2023 By Richard Lawless - The Federal Employees Liability Reform and Tort Compensation Act of 1988, also known as the Westfall Act, is a law passed by the United States Congress that modifies the Federal Tort Claims Act to protect federal employees from common law tort lawsuits while engaged in their duties for the government. This is an important tool created to provide taxpayer-funded legal defense for federal employees acting within the reasonable bounds of their employment duties. When used, the Department of Justice assigns U.S. Attorneys to defend the federal employee or agency............

Piercing the halo of the FBI special agent - November 14, 2023 By W.A. Eliot - When confronted with a litany of examples of recent FBI partisan bias, Director Christopher Wray in his congressional testimony always a makes a point of praising the rank-and-file special agents as being above the fray.  For example, here is an exchange with Louisiana senator John Kennedy on August 4, 2022 (starting at 8:40):...........
The Unnerving Reason FBI Showed Up to This Journalist's Home -Sarah Arnold  |  November 12, 2023- The FBI has reportedly knocked down the door of a journalist who, in the past, exposed illegal activities along the southern border, including sex trafficking. This week, Sarah Fields, a journalist with The Publica Now, revealed on social media that FBI agents came to her home on October 17 unannounced. She claimed the agency demanded that she talk with them about her coverage of an alleged Hamas training camp on the US-Mexico border. So how much did the DoJ spend to arrest J6 protestor Gregory Yetman? November 11, 2023 By Monica Showalter - Three years after the January 6 protest that got out of control, the FBI has swooped in and moved to arrest one Gregory Yetman, allegedly for pepper-spraying a cop. Investigative reporter Julie Kelly has the scoop on what went down: They cased the joint for three months, obviously working in shifts, probably some with overtime. They used helicopters. They used drones. They used drawn guns and flash bangs that damaged the property, despite getting no resistance from the occupants. They were heavily armed and heavily fortified. They spent time on paperwork. And there were a lot of them, based on the video within the tweet...........It's so disgusting. And here we have Congress, led by Republicans, vote to authorize a $300 million building on grounds bigger than the Pentagon for this agency, fulfilling the Parkinson's Law maxim about the decline of organizations that build huge new headquarters. ...............
