Erdogan and the Ottoman Caliphate

The peninsula that is called Turkey today, was originally called Anatolia. For centuries before the Turkeyfication of Anatolia starting with the Sunni Muslim Seljuks, it was almost totally occupied by the Byzantine Christians from the Mediterranean to Armenia.
 
It is best to enlighten the readers with the background that leads to modern Turkey without which it would be impossible to understand the mind-set of the dictator of Turkey; Recep Tayyib Erdogan.

From their homeland in Central Asia (near the Aral Sea), under their leader Tughril Beg (990), the Seljuks first conquered Khorasan (mainland Persia) and then subjugated most of Anatolia from the Byzantine Empire in 1071.

The Seljuk Empire declined over the next two centuries until they were completely taken over by the Ottoman Turks by the Oghuz Turkish tribal leader Osman I (Othman/ Uthman; from which the name Ottoman is derived).

What we call the Turkish people since the 1920’s, are those descendants of the Muslim Ottoman Turkic tribes..........

As you are reading this article, there are 57 Muslim majority states comprising 1,500,000,000 Muslims that are among the most Dysfunctional, Totalitarian, Theocratic or Despotic in the world.
Although the Muslims represent 20% of current humanity, they have managed Only FOUR Nobel laureates (not including for Peace) while the Jews (0.2% of current humanity) have been able to garner Two Hundred and Four (not including for Peace); yet no one has the backbone and or the knowledge to explain such an incredible anomaly although the Common Denominator fills the room.
