America is No Longer a Punching Bag for the Rest of the World

Far too much American blood has been shed to fight wars, to which have no end. We finally have a president with a back-bone. As with his many promises made, promises kept, President Trump ran on the promise that we will not continue our quest to be “nation-builders”.

The Ottomans, in today’s age known as the Turks, have been fighting the Kurds as far back as 1655. The Kurdish people are an Iranian ethnic group in the Middle East. They have historically inhabited a mountainous region referred to as Kurdistan. This region was partitioned out of areas in Turkey, northern Iraq, and Syria after World War l. Through the centuries, these factions have been at war, with renewed violence flaring up in the 2000’s. The Kurds joined forces with the United States in the fight against ISIS, and have been a quasi-ally of the U.S.

On October 6, 2019 President Trump ordered the withdrawal of U.S. troops from northern Syria, thus leaving the Kurds to fend for themselves against Turkey. Since the U.S. and Turkey are NATO allies, the Turks had left the Kurds alone. Without American soldiers literally standing with Kurdish soldiers, Turkey now has an open door to revive their battle with the Kurds, and on the offensive they’ve gone........To Read More.....
