Who Really is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

On March 5, 2019 Monica Showalter posted the article, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's mom shows the socialist disconnect from reality on taxes saying:

“Like Sen. Kamala Harris, who was rebuked by her own father for perpetrating the stereotype of Jamaicans as potheads, socialist Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was effectively rebuked by her own mother, who told the Daily Mail she moved to Florida from New York to get away from all those high taxes.  

'I was cleaning houses in the morning and working as a secretary at a hospital in the afternoon. I was working from 6am until 11pm. And I prayed and prayed, and things worked out. After the children graduated from college, I figured it was time for me to move to Florida.'  

"Blanca said it was a no-brainer, adding: 'I was paying $10,000 a year in real estate taxes up north. I'm paying $600 a year in Florida. It's stress-free down here.'”

Yet we have her daughter wanting to tax “the rich” at 70%. The only problem is the rich won’t be paying those taxes. It will be people like her mother, but apparently AOC, a Boston University educated economist, didn’t understand that. How could that be?  

Well, Michelle Malkin comments:

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez majored in economics, but she doesn’t seem to have learned much. It costs a pretty penny to earn a diploma in stupid. The annual list price to attend Boston University — including tuition, fees, room, and board — currently rounds out to $70,000. …….Four years, 52 credits and nearly $300,000…….

It turns out her three hundred thousand dollar degree tells her that if taxes aren’t enough to pay for all her loony socialist ideas all we have to do is print more money. Wow, Venezuela's Maduro didn’t need a three hundred thousand dollar degree to decide to do that. He also destroyed Venezuela. 

Maduro has been a monster to his people, starving them, destroying their economy, completely destroying their public health system and yet this BU educated economist refuses to condemn him or his actions. 

As Thomas Lifson commented in his article, Ocasio-Cortez refuses to denounce Maduro when asked saying:

"The strongest condemnation she could come up with for a dictator who is starving his people, forcing millions to flee to market economies that are able to feed them, is "this is absolutely a complex issue." 

"She goes on to caution against U.S. intervention, which is what really concerns her — not the toll exacted on the Venezuelan people themselves..........Because America is the only real problem when it comes to Venezuela."

Maybe Brazil and Columbia are also Ocasio-Cortez's Venezuela's "real" problem list, because they had the audacity to collude with the United States in trying to provide "tons of food, medicine and other aid" to Venezuelans, but "Maduro has shut down the country's border with Brazil and threatens to do the same with Colombia to try to stop foreign aid from crossing into the country", because "according to Maduro Venezuela is not a nation of beggars. "

Maduro is a monster but neither she nor Bernie could find it in their minds and hearts to condemn him. 

Showalter went on to say:

“New York's a blue city in a blue state and has been that way for decades. It has the highest state tax rate in the nation. Countless social programs and bureaucracy expansions in the name of "social justice" and "fairness" have made the city a cesspit of taxation, squeezing honest people like Ocasio-Cortez's mother out.

But now we find she has some corruption problems. Thomas Lifson reports that her campaign had illegal control of a PAC fund.  But it gets worse, it appears a million dollars has disappeared in an attempt to circumvent campaign finance laws.

Lifson continues:

"Tom Anderson, director of NLPC's Government Integrity Project.  "In all my years of studying FEC reports, I've never seen a more ambitious operation to circumvent reporting requirements." He added that Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, New York Democrat, "has been quite vocal in condemning so-called dark money, but her own campaign went to great lengths to avoid the sunlight of disclosure."

Apparently it didn't take long for another socialist to let their greed overwhelm their rhetoric, not in the least concerned about the disasters they leave in their wake. 

What I'm really curious about is who is behind her?  She's now become the real Speaker of the House shooting her mouth off about just about everything, and demonstrating she's just as stupid about everything else, not just economics.  In short, she's an ignorant obnoxious intellectual twit.  How is she getting away with this?  It seems to me that someone powerful has to be behind her.  Who is it?  

And it isn't just her.  Two Muslim freshmen Congresswomen are spouting racist and anti-semitic hate filled comments that would have been unthinkable even last year.  Who's behind them?  Why are they getting away with this, and why is Pelosi afraid to get on top of this? 

This is going to go deeper down the rabbit hole as time goes by and it's my belief it's going to get ugly!
