2013 July Environment and Climate News:
Connecticut Adds Hydropower to Renewable Mix
The July issue of Environment & Climate News reports Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy has signed legislation allowing large-scale hydroelectric power to qualify under the state's renewable power mandate. Hydropower is substantially less expensive than wind and solar and emits no greenhouse gases.
