Rep. Paul Ryan Now Backs Adoption of Children by Homosexuals

 (CNSNews.com) – Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), the 2012 Republican vice presidential candidate, used to oppose adoption of children by homosexuals but now says it is okay for gays to adopt kids and that he would vote to support such a policy.
The Catholic faith, which Ryan professes, teaches that such adoptions “are contrary to the divine plan” of God and Pope Francis has said that gay adoption is a form of discrimination against children.
At a meeting with some of his constituents in Janesville, Wisc., on Apr. 29, Ryan, chairman of the House Budget Committee, was asked about “marriage equality” for gays and lesbians and, as part of the query, the constituent noted, “you voted to ban same-sex couples from adopting in the District of Columbia.”  In his response, Rep. Paul said that he believes marriage should be between one man and one woman and concerning the adoption of children by homosexuals, he said, “Adoption, I would vote differently these days. That was, I think, a vote I took in my first term in 1999 or 2000.”…To Read More …..
