News Quips: Karl Rove has had a bad couple of days

By Rick Manning
Ever since coming out of the closet and disclosing his intent to go to war with the tea party in Republican Party primaries in a New York Times exclusive, Rove has come under attack from everyone from Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin to various conservative leaders including this author.  Between Rove lieutenant Steven Law’s quotes in the New York Times declaring that he was going to try to be the arbiter of who was the most electable candidate in Republican primaries and another colleagues meltdown on a Washington, D.C. news/talk station when confronted on Rove’s plans, Karl is finding himself in the unique position of being despised on both the left and the right.

My Take- It was recently reported that Fox News was dumping Dick Morris,  re-hiring Karl Rove and bringing Dennis Kucinich on board.  Well, there a number of things I find interesting about this.  There are very real similarities between Morris, Rove and Kucinich.  They all seem to work diligently on being wrong and overrated.  So it would seem that Fox has decided that one overrated failed predictor of events is enough, but adding an overrated, strange ex-politician will boost ratings.  The media isn't about news, education or truth. It's about ratings and money, and like politics, that makes for strange bedfellows.   Nuf Ced? RK
