1. Nancy Pelosi: ‘We Avow the First Amendment…People Have a Right to Have a Gun’
By Melanie Hunter February 11, 2013
House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) confused the First Amendment with the Second Amendment when talking about gun rights on on Fox News Sunday.
“We’re talking about background checks, which is very popular even among gun owners and hunters. We avow the First Amendment. We stand with that and say that people have a right to have a gun to protect themselves in their homes, in their jobs, wherever, in their workplace…for recreation and hunting and the rest,” Pelosi told Fox News host Chris Wallace when he challenged her to publicly shame her “friends in Hollywood” to stop violence in film, television and video games….. 5. Students Told USA Chant Has Racial Overtones
A group of students at a California high school basketball game were told to remove patriotic bandanas and stop chanting “USA, USA” because school administrators wanted to be sensitive to other spectators. The incident occurred during a basketball last week between Camarillo High School and Rio Mesa High School in Ventura County. A school administrator pulled aside four boys and told them to either remove their American flag bandanas or leave the game. The boys complied but returned to lead the crowd in a chant of “USA, USA.” Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman told the Ventura County Star that the students were told to remove the bandanas as a “precaution” – because the two schools have “diverse student bodies.” Both schools have a large Hispanic student population….to Read More…..
6. Sheila Jackson Lee Thinks Slavery Ended in the 1960s
February 13, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield Comments (20)
Sheila Jackson Lee, the dumbest woman, mammal and oxygen breathing lifeform in Congress, is there to serve as an example to the dumbest of Americans. A role model that proves that even if you can’t tell the difference between Mars and the Moon and think that the United States won the Vietnam War and that hurricanes should be named after black people… you can still have a rewarding career saying stupid things………..Jackson Lee’s advice from her mother was that, “No matter where I found myself in this life I needed to be someone who gave respect to others and by my actions receive respect from others. It’s a pity that Sheila Jackson Lee didn’t take that advice, instead building a career of constantly embarrassing herself with her ignorance and her ridiculous attacks and attention-mongering. Sheila Jackson Lee has not given others any respect and has received none even within her own party….To Read More…

8. Back To The Dark Ages: Global Warming Linked To Asteroids
Fox News, 12 February 2013
The threat of global warming may stretch so far beyond Earth that it affects asteroids millions of miles away in space — at least according to one CNN anchor. “Talk about something else that’s falling from the sky and that is an asteroid. What’s coming our way? Is this an effect of, perhaps, of global warming, or is this just some meteoric occasion?” CNN’s Deborah Feyerick asked Bill “The Science Guy” Nye, head of the Planetary Society, in a Saturday segment. Feyerick, who had earlier quizzed Nye about the possible link between global warming and the weekend snowstorm, was referring to Asteroid 2012 DA14, which will whiz within 17,000 miles or so of Earth on Feb 15. The asteroid’s relatively close trajectory on its latest pass of Earth has been extensively covered in recent weeks…To Read More…
