P&D Today, and The World as I See It

History is Everything, and Everything is to be Questioned.

By Rich Kozlovich

I've decided to change my regular offerings of P&D and the Week That Was by, starting on Monday, doing features such as this.  Each will start with the commentaries featured for that day, and then P&D and The Week That Was will just have the commentaries listed on Saturday.  While I may have a Sunday offering occasionally, especially dealing with Geopolitics, I still don't plan on having a regular Sunday feature.   P&D is a not for profit passion.  I don't need or want a job, and even a newsie like me can stand only so much.

The world really is a mess, and truth be told, it always has been, but the difference is, in days gone by, we didn't have the ability to know what was going on in the rest of the world as we do now.   In centuries past newspapers had a role in changing that, which actually started believe it or not in ancient Rome, but it was always limited.  For our post Greco-Roman time it really started in the 1600's, but it was still limited.

That changed with radio, and then television made a huge impact, and the three worked well promoting each other with radio, television, and newspapers/magazines becoming huge international voices making a defining impact on people's views and thinking.

Then came the internet, and even bigger changes occurred, as the internet created an alternative media.   An alternative media the mainstream media laughingly and smugly sneered at calling them the Pajama Media.   The mainstream media isn't laughing any longer.  The alternative media has pretty much destroyed the traditional radio, television, and print news sources, because the alternative media exposed how badly people had been lied to for decades.  From that point on these citizen journalists became ascendant while the traditional professional news "journalists" and their industry is swirling down the drain.  It turns out anyone can write, but not all are capable of integrity.

The biggest thing that's come about as a result of the ascendency of alternative media is no one believes anything the Democrats are saying anymore.  They lie.... unendingly... and about everything, and it's clear there's a huge gap developing between Democrats and society, and even between other Democrats.  The DNC even refuses to back a resolution calling for release of the hostages, continuing to turn their backs on the concerns of the most loyal constituency they ever had, America's Jews.

As the author notes:

The three-headed beast is radical ideas, voter registration losses, and a left wing committed to destroying everything.... [and] every Democrat that I've spoken to knows that the Left is going to destroy them, but they are scared to challenge them. They fear cancellation, a mob in front of their house or business office or being called something that ends in "ism."

What really scares the Democrat cult of human sacrifice?   Trump being successful, and not only dealing with Washington DC's crime rate.

In India they've passed what's being called a harsh anti-conversion law, against "forced conversions", with a potential punishment of life imprisonment.  Why would they pass such a law?  The article doesn't say it directly but all around the world, India, Africa, and Asia Muslims are kidnapping, raping, and forcing women to convert to Islam and marry them, and they've brutally forced conversions on children and others, and they want it stopped.  While Christians have expressed concern, and rightly so, since even the best intentioned laws can become perverted, at this point this law is about Muslims terrorizing members of non Muslim religions, and they want it stopped.

Christian leadership needs to be far more concerned about the Christian genocide looming In Nigeria, which seems to elude the 500 UN staffers from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, who demand Israel be condemned for imaginary genocide in Gaza, yet don't seem to be aware of this actual horror going on in Nigeria, and the mass slaughter of people in the Sudan civil war.  Remarkable!  I wonder how many of those staffers are Muslim?  How many who are not, but are being intimidated by Muslims.  That is their stock in trade, intimidation and violence.

The Trump administration is going after the Deep State criminals like John Bolton, but what about the DOD people like Lloyd Austin, General Mark Milley, and his fellow officers whose lies about the Afghanistan withdrawal and the Taliban cost lives, American lives.  They need to be recalled to active duty and given military court martials for their treasonous activity.

Letitia James must be one really stupid person.  After being exposed for mortgage fraud, and facing criminal charges, she's now been caught harboring a fugitive, a criminal act, who just happens to be her daughter, who is wanted in South Carolina for probation violations, and has a 20 year record of criminal behavior in two states.  Do I detect a pattern here? Must be genetic, as stupid most certainly runs in her family.   How did this nitwit every get a law degree and pass the bar exam?  The one John Kennedy Jr. took twice and failed.

You might find this video interesting.  Brennan never cared when he was destroying lives with Crossfire Hurricane, but he's crying now. What do I see in this video?  Not the smug arrogant jerk from the past.  What I see here is a desperate man, and he has reason to be desperate.   This isn't lawfare, this is law enforcement, and as more and more classified information is being made available it's clear the criminal charges coming his way will be supported by unimpeachable documentation.   As General Flynn says, "enough is enough" lock him up, now!   John Brennan and the left "tried to destroy, humiliate and bankrupt the good general and his family", so whine all you want Brennan, no one cares.

The person who murdered a popular Colombian politician was 15 years old and part of a far left extremist movement.  He's been found guilty and sentences to..... watch out now here it comes.....he got a whole 7 years in prison, and I'm sure a hero to the violent radical left worldwide.

and the Social Circles Promoting That Behavior.

P&D and The Week That Was

Truth is the Sublime Convergence of History and Reality

De Omnibus Dubitandum, (Everything is to be questioned!)

This Link will take you to My Commentaries.

We're seeing a lot of hoohaw from the left regarding Trump's taking over the crime control in Washington DC, and his suggestion he may do the same thing in Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and the governors and mayors of those cities proclaiming how they will not allow it to happen, and Philadelphia's  Soros pro-crime DA Larry Kasner claiming he'll prosecute the National Guard.   Well, good for him, he finally found someone he's willing to prosecute.  Which is really comical since they're in effect declaring they really like all that crime and violence erupting in their cities, especially all that criminal activity of illegal aliens, who they're saying they will protect no matter what.

But it's my view Trump has no intention of sending in the National Guard to these cities , to which Posse Comitatus does not apply, but he's broken the back of the Democrat party by forcing them to embrace a love of crime and violence.

In Washington DC he really does have jurisdiction, but not these cities.  There are serious legal restrictions against that, including how he can declare martial law.  So, why is he saying these things?  It's the old Trump Engagement with Reality strategy.

Trump has forced the nation's Democrat leadership to support crime by opposing the administration’s crime-cutting efforts in Washington, DC but now even Democrat Mayor of DC is thanking Trump for the drop in crime in her city....well.... actually it isn't her city it's the federal government's city, that's who owns DC.

This is a huge turn around for her as she's seeing the hand writing on the wall.  The residence of DC love what Trump has wrought. I will be publishing a piece of the back and forth on this next week.  But as for right now, DC residents are loving it.  As Andrea Widburg's article, With the National Guard, D.C. residents are living the Singapore life, points out saying:

What’s happening in D.C. introduces Americans to the idea that, if the rule of law is applied, urban life need not be a life of fear............In addition to being rich, Singapore is famous for its strictly enforced laws, all of which are intended to create a harmonious environment free of crime and civil strife. If you do the crime, you do the time. There is no wiggle room. Just look at what happened to Michael Peter Fay, an American in Singapore in 1993, or Oliver Fricker, a Swiss national in 2010, if you want to know how that works.

And the courts are responsible for much of this mess in America.  In St. Louis Demond Taylor, who gunned down a police officer, has been releases on $5,000 bond, and in New York another lower court ignores the Supreme Court regarding the Second Amendment, and the courts are filled with corrupt political hacks such as this one who is blocking Trump's effort to expand speedy deportations of migrants.  These are criminal aliens and they have no rights under the Constitution, which the left is attempt to change via judicial activism.  More to come on that front.

Here's a video everyone needs to see showing what a disaster the wind turbines really are.  The warming mongers are destroying the world, not saving it, and the number of birds being killed by these cuisinarts, including endangered species, is massive.

Remember when the High Priest of the Church of the Warming Globe, Al Gore, claimed “the science is settled”, on global warming.  Well, he was right. They're claiming the experts are surprised their predictions were wrong.   Horsepucky!  They weren’t really surprised at their failed predictions!   The science was settled alright, because behind the scenes they knew their claims were a load of horsepucky because they created that horsepucky. So, they weren’t really surprised, they just acted surprised because the first rule of criminal behavior is… never give up the con.

But that horsepucky generated the most important thing that exists in science today. Grant money.  These grant chasers will sell anything the grantor demands, and global warming was one of them, which was one of the greatest scientific frauds ever perpetrated on humanity, and a lot of us who said so right from day one and have continued to say so in spite of being called called Luddites, Flat Earthers, and had our intelligence and integrity called into question and destroyed the careers of scientists who had to courage to stand up and say it was a fraud.

What really needs to be done is for the federal government to charge these scientists with fraud.  They took government grant money and lied, and it not only cost trillions of wasted dollars, it cost lives. Ten years or so ago in Bulgaria during a severe winter people froze to death due to a lack of available energy.  Someone needs to be held accountable for all that.

In spite of the massive exposure of all that fraud, leaders in American cities will not let go.  Why?   The left loves the "we're all gonna die" chaos.  If the left can’t promote chaos, they can’t take control. If the media doesn’t promote their claims of chaos they can’t take control. If the media goes down the drain, and it is, their only hope for control is violence, and that’s what’s taking place right now.   To embrace leftism requires two things, lack of knowledge, and an utter lack of common sense…. and being insane doesn't hurt either.

Hundreds of United Nations staffers from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights are demanding Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.  Which I really find rich since over the years nations who are committing crimes against humanity sat on the Human Rights Council, and not one word was uttered against them.

As bad as their international problems are, right now it seems to me Israel’s real problems are internal. This is a country with thirteen political factions in Israel.  Factions as far as I can tell that are a bunch of political parties with sufficient numbers to be in and out of the Knesset!  But it gets worse, in total, there are a 149 political parties in Israel.

The current government was created via coalitions, and some are walking away from that coalition which means new elections.   There are demonstrations demanding the end to the war no matter the costs to bring back the hostages, their economy is suffering, and their military is seriously stretched and exhausted.  But the big thing is if there's no united vision in a nation at war, that nation will suffer defeat.

As I’m watching this play out in Israel and the demonstrators demanding an end to the war, and a return of all the hostages no matter the cost, I expect to see Israel return to the same kind of insane government that existed before Bibi was elected, which I cover in four “Anyone But Bibi” commentaries.  Can Bibi hold it all together long enough to win? We’ll see.

America is ending the Five Eyes intelligence sharing agreement with England, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, and for good reason.  Truth be told, even though I had no inside information, it seemed clear to me that relationship was in serious trouble for some time, and I commented the US needed to abandon that a long time ago.

Why?

They’re all socialists, and for some time they’ve been  playing patty cake with China, and taking anti American positions.  It was clear to me they were not to be trusted.   As a result, it was easy to take that next step and think they’re being traitors to their alliance with America.

We need to ask ourselves; would it be a good idea to share highly sensitive intelligence with the EU nations?  If not, then why would it be good policy to keep sharing intelligence with England, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.  People are what they do, and they are not our friends or our allies.

If anyone doubts who the biggest kid is on the block, this should settle that.  In a meeting with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, UK, Finland, Netherlands, and Ukraine involving with issues involving the Russo/Ukraine war Trump asked Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission to leave the room.  "His reasoning was blunt: “We only want to talk to leaders.”   How many of these "leaders" protested such a move? Not one.

I really love this article, at least part of it, by the I & I Editorial Board, Trump Gets Dems to Make ‘Earthshaking, Gobsmaking Concession’, saying:

Trump has gotten Democrats to make “an earthshaking, gobsmacking concession to common sense that cries out to be capitalized on.” To wit: that corporate taxes aren’t paid by corporations, they are ultimately passed down to employees and customers in the form of lower wages and higher prices.  No matter what you think about Trump’s tariffs, winning this concession from Democrats must be celebrated...........Now that we all agree that both tariffs and corporate taxes hurt American families, let’s start cutting them both.

For years I've said corporate taxes are a hidden tax on the poor, because corporations don't pay taxes, they raise prices.   As Leona Helmsley said, "only little people pay taxes", and she was right, although she got carried away with herself and violated tax laws.   As for their comments on tariffs, time has shown Trump's tariffs have actually benefited America's economy, which I will have a piece on soon.

The 2026 midterms are upon us, already, and I don't think I've ever seen more requests for funds as I have now, and so far from the actual election, and from all over the nation. Sen. Joni Ernst is stepping aside in 2026, and while she was a staunch conservative, no one is concerned as it's believed that will remain a Republican seat, and Murkowski is being challenged in 2028 for her seat by Alaska's current Governor, Mike Dunleavy, which should be interesting to watch since Murkowski got elected though a lot of back room scheming with Mitch McConnell, that won't be in play in 2028, and the ranked choice voting system, which ultimately affords Democrat voters the opportunity to vote for Murkowski on the second and third ballots.   Is it any wonder she promised to vote for the Democrat running for Congress against Sarah Palin.  The woman is vile.

There's a whole lot more going on, but that will be for another day.  As for today I have 13 pieces of my own, which I think are insightful, and 15 by others that are well thought out and presented.  And I  would like to draw you're attention to my friend Tom Harris' newsletter, What's New with ICSC and ICSC-Canada.  Tom has been fighting the global warming energy battle for a lot of years, and it's worth your time.

Starting September 1st I will be reverting to a daily, P&D Today, The World as I See It, and the reason why is so much is going on I can't do justice to all that information currently.  I will have a final on Saturday with "The Week That Was" listing all the articles and a commentary.

Have a good weekend,

It's Time For Term Limits

Government of the people, by the people, and for the people can mean any kind of government. It’s our duty to make it mean only one kind uncorrupted, free, united. - John Josephus Grant, an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court played by Frank Morgan in the movie, A Stranger in Town.

By Rich Kozlovich

Recently a writer who claimed to be a conservative also claimed there were valid conservative arguments against term limits. As far as I was concerned his arguments against term limits are inaccurate, and truth be told, is one great big red herring fallacy.

The arguments supporting term limits are; they get old, they get ineffective, but most importantly, they get rich, they get connected, they get corrupt, they get egos so out of control, they can't be reasoned with, and they get gutless, many of whom start out gutless and it becomes a way of life as a legislator.

The one most missed is once they're there, they get re-elected over and over again in spite of their failures, and those failures are legion. And yes, it is right to make it a law to tell voters they need elect someone else, and bring an end, or at lease reduce the number of life long professional politicians, something the founding fathers never wanted or even expected. They never even expected to see national parties.

The idea term limits make it impossible for activists to become effective, is hardly an argument against term limits, and the idea lobbyist love term limits is inaccurate. I was active in my industry's trade associations in Ohio and a bit at the national level. We have term limits in Ohio and things get done much better, so the lack of institutional knowledge is a red herring fallacy. In point of fact, term limits created less complicated government, and all the lobbyists I know hated term limits.

Term limits means they have to start all over again creating influence. As for the unions, interest groups, and corporate interests being the real power, that's also a red herring. They're less powerful with new elected officials as they have to make their pitch over and over again, because new representatives are new opportunities for those in opposition with each other to make their arguments, and the new ones listen.

Term limits do not check voters rights on politicians, it expands them, and this malarkey about we end up losing good ones, while that's true, the fact is losing the bad ones is far more important, because the really bad ones have been an unending disaster, like Schiff, Waters, Pelosi, McCarthy, McConnell, and the list goes on endlessly, on both sides of the aisle. With term limits the damage bad ones can do is limited, and it forces voters to pay attention and "exercise their authority" wisely.

Any argument against term limits is nothing short of an effort to rationalize the corruption of the current system and what doesn't work to the benefit of the nation.

Mass Shooting is About Culture, and Culture is King

History is everything, and life is about patterns and circles.  Patterns of behavior, and the social circles promoting that behavior.

By Rich Kozlovich

I posted this piece yesterday, Nitwit Brigade on Parade, Part V, discussing the mass shooting in Minnesota of the murder of two young Catholic children by a trans character, which was clearly a anti-Catholic hate crime.

My series focuses on the idiotic things said and done by prominent people, but mostly all the celebrity halfwits, nitwits, misfits, dipsticks and meritless pinheads who represent a vile cesspool of destructive self important corruption.   I've often wished someone would give these celebrities psychological profile tests, and publish the results.  There's something seriously wrong with them.

In yesterday's piece, which I posted in the very early AM, focused on Mia Farrow, but make no mistake, I knew before the day was out the internet would be ripe with demands for gun control, and in some demented way twisting things in a effort to subtly turn this monster into a victim.

And that was as sure and night follows day.  Years ago it appeared Trey Gowdy was a strong conservative, but in reality, former Rep. Matt Gaetz called Gowdy a deep state boot licker", a "useful idiot for the left".

Instead of doing the right thing and discussing the very real problem of transgender violence, from Nashville to Colorado Springs to Minneapolis, and on, Gowdy handed the radical left exactly what they desperately needed: deflection. He ignored the glaring facts and blamed “young white men” for the violence.

It's white people who are the problem.  Well, at least he didn't blame the Jews, but he, as well as the entire left has ignored this man was:

......another "transgender" murderer targeting a Christian school, this time in Minnesota, has shaken me to my core. It has wiped out any delusion that the Democratic Party could be reasoned with, replaced by the recognition of the sheer evil being propagated.

Yesterday John F. Di Leo posted this piece, Blood, Tears, and Lessons in a Minneapolis Church, saying:

It's time to look more closely at the relationship between transgenderism and mass shootings.......There are many issues that the mainstream media avoid covering at all costs, not because they don’t have the ability, but because they don’t have the desire.  One of the most disturbing is a reticence to cover the confluence of mass shootings and the transgender population.

Jason James Barry in his article,  The eerie familiarity of the Minneapolis church school shooting, says:

This horrible news makes one think with a shudder of the ‘other’ shooting that happened not so long ago......... So much now is in common with the “other” church school shooting — the one two years ago in Nashville, by a female shooter who changed her name from Audrey to Aiden.  A picture begins to take shape, one of transgenderism and church school hate, that none of us should look away from.  There is an issue at hand here, in this combination, that we cannot afford to conceal or otherwise closet away. ............

And here's the important part that I see playing out from the left, including the Mayor of Minneapolis:

Yet progressives will say, “It's too bad that the two children were killed and the 17 others injured, but what really matters is that we don’t misgender the mass shooter! That would be immoral, especially posthumously! Speaking of mental illness.

Eric Utter published this piece yesterday,  Christians slaughtered in Minneapolis … you know the rest, saying:

Evil defeated tolerance again yesterday, in George Floyd’s Minneapolis.......... Of course, the mainstream media will use this tragedy to lobby for the repeal of our Second Amendment rights, though this slaughter could’ve been mitigated or potentially even prevented had one of the adults in the Annunciation Church and Catholic School had a firearm of their own and the requisite courage to use it to defend the innocent. But of course these mass killings keep happening at soft targets, places where guns are banned from the premises.  Tragic coincidence, huh?........

Democrats are hell-bent … on cornering the market for mental illness............ trans violence has become an epidemic. .....Even though, for the most part, they have been welcomed and feted as a part of the LGBTQ community (PRIDE!), deep down most realize that their assertions about who they are are at odds with religious teaching … and reality.

And so they lash out in unspeakable ways, to punish others for their beliefs. They need help, not validation. One cannot validate a lie. And trying to do so isn’t compassion, it is malice...

Yesterday Jack Cashill published this piece on his Substack site, School Shooter's Only Sane Thoughts Were on Gun Control, saying "Robin" Westman didn't need a psychiatrists, he needed an exorcist.

He went on to say that at the church he attends that is the kind of traditional Catholic Church the FBI designated as a breeding ground for domestic terrorists years ago, there are two large men who sit outside, armed and ready.  Why are they there? Because it has become necessary to protect the churches from lunatics, all of which have been leftist lunatics, and these lunatics are cowards who are never so crazy they challenge hard men with guns.  Cashill concluded saying what most believers think; the Westman's of the world offer evidence of demonic influence running amok.

He went on to cite Westman's irrational and hate filled journal, which I find mind boggling as it seems all these misfits are driven to write journals in order to preserve their warped views for posterity.  As it turned out he made a study of mass killings noting how these cowardly mass shooters love places they know where no one is armed.

Let me repeat that.

Mass shooters choose public places where they know no one is armed, except them, citing  James Holmes shooting at the Aurora theatre.  They love schools and churches because they know there's no protection for those worshipers, the children and the teachers.  Here's what Westman also wrote in his journal, which I've picked up from an number of articles:

  1. Criminals with intentions are not going to follow rules.
  2. That’s why I and many others like schools so much. At least for me, I am focused on them.
  3. I want a better society. I hate fascism. I hate inequality.
  4. I also love when kids get shot, I love to see death told real.
  5.  If I will carry out a racially motivated attack, it would be most likely against filthy Zionist Jews.
  6. Free Palestine
  7. I hate those entitled, penny-sniffing k**es.
  8. Kill Donald Trump
  9. Israel must fall
  10. Nuke India
  11. Where is your God?
  12. For the children

Demented, contradictory, irrational, yes, but many of these views are the kind of things the left has been promoting worldwide, and what are the Democrats really worried about?  The well-being of transgender people.

After Transgender Church Massacre, Minneapolis Mayor Urges Rallying for “Trans Community” - I guess they really are the new Muslims.  To paraphrase Norm MacDonald, “what terrifies me is if a transgender gunman were to open fire on a church and shoot a bunch of kids, imagine the backlash against transgenders?” After Robert ‘Robin’ Westman, yet another transgender mass shooter, opened fire on a Catholic church, killing two children and wounding over a dozen more, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey rallied for the “trans community.”............

Trans Control Now - Forget thoughts and prayers, stop grooming future trans killers.  After Robert ‘Robin’ Westman shot up a Minneapolis church, local authorities and law enforcement refused to discuss the transgender child murderer’s motive, but instead spent a lot of time prattling about the weapon as if the rifle had climbed off the shelf and then opened fire...........

Some years back, Maya ‘Alex’ McKinney, who was 16 at the time and was being ‘transitioned’ from the time she was 11, opened fire at a Colorado school. Like Hale, who had been in various forms of therapy since she was 6 years old, the experiment finally ended in blood and horror........

Much like with Islamic terrorism, rather than deal with what’s going on behind the scenes to operationalize these attacks, politicians hide behind portraying a ‘community’ facing ‘hate’. It’s dishonest and people can see through it............

At Schools Across America, the Trans Agenda Marches On - A trans gunman’s unhinged violence is merely one symptom of the madness...........Nor is Westman the first transgender criminal to channel his mental health struggles into mass violence.  Libs of TikTok highlighted the disturbing pattern, posting on X

  1. “Minnesota Church Shooting: Trans.
  2. Republican Party Firebombing: Gender Fluid.
  3. Nashville Shooter: Trans.
  4. Colorado Tesla Arsonist: Trans.
  5. Colorado Springs shooter: Nonbinary.
  6. Aberdeen shooter: Trans.
  7. Denver school shooter: Trans.
  8. Iowa school shooter: Trans/genderfluid.
  9. AMC stabber: Trans.

Are you starting to see a pattern here? IT’S AN EPIDEMIC.”.........

What I see here are once sweet baby children that grew up to become a seriously troubled souls, and have no doubt Westman and all these others suffered from seriously troubled minds.  Minds that became warped feeding on an unending diet of lies, racism, antisemitism, and anti-Christian rhetoric of the left, with Westman even hating himself for what he'd become ending his own life.  No matter what pontifications the left may come up with, one can only conclude Westman was one of theirs, and his actions condemns them and all they promote.

He did say one thing that's absolutely true.  "Criminals don't play by the rules", and that's why they prey on the weak and defenseless!  Why is that so hard to understand?

History is everything, and life is about patterns and circles.  Patterns of behavior, and the social circles promoting that behavior.

Europe is Lost, Is America Next?

By Rich Kozlovich

WWI created the greatest historical/social/cultural transformation in history. From that point on the western world began to abandon the Judaic/Christian values and principles that created Europe, and the churches were just as responsible as Europe’s leaders. As time went by it all morphed into believing in nothing/anything/everything, which metastasized into what were seeing unfolding in all of western civilization, with Victor Davis Hanson's article laying historical and intellectual foundation for how and why Europe is doomed using Germany as the example.

We’re watching western leftists embrace Islam, including homosexuals, all of whom subscribe to everything Islam abhors.  How can they be so clueless as to not recognize that if Muslims took control and imposed Sharia they would be among the first executed?   Islam hates the things they promote such as women's rights, homosexuality and transgenderism.  There would be no freedom of speech, no freedom of religion, including atheism, no freedom to publicly protest anything Islamists imposed on society.

Iran’s leadership in the past gathered up 30,000 people who opposed them and murdered them, and that's not just a modern expression of Islam, that's almost 1500 years of Islamic history, and the left insists any negative comments about Islam is Islamophobia,

America is in Crisis.  The dangerous reality of Islam in America isn't a phobia.  A phobia is an intense irrational fear of an "object, situation, activity, which causes irrational distress".  Fear of Islam isn't a phobia, it's a reality, and it's a reality that's history based, a history that's incontestable.

Minneapolis:

Islamized America: Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey Goes Full Mogadishu - Mayor Jacob Frey is facing renewed criticism after appearing on stage speaking Somali at a celebration marking the 65th anniversary of Somalia’s independence. The event, mainly attended by Somali immigrants, has drawn attention to Frey’s ongoing alignment with foreign cultural and religious agendas over American civic identity...........

New York:

Hamas’s Man in New York: Zohran Mamdani, The Holy Land Five, and the Marxist-Islamic Threat to America -  Support for the Holy Land Five, rooted in Islamic and Marxist ideologies, raises alarms about national security and prompts calls for denaturalization of non-citizens who endorse these terrorist financiers. The “Holy Land Five”, a reference to five men convicted of financing the Muslim terrorist group Hamas in 2008, has become a cause célèbre for militant Islamic and Marxist activists, including Zohran Mamdani, the “democrat” nominee for mayor of New York City.

Defenders of the Holy Land Five epitomize the Red/Green Axis, a convergence of Marxism and Islam. The Holy Land Five activists rewrite history, claiming that the Holy Land Foundation was simply a charitable organization, but that is a lie. In fact, the 2008 trial resulted in guilty verdicts on all 108 counts, with sentences ranging from 15 to 65 years, upheld on appeal in 2011. The defendants underwent due process, including legal representation, a public trial, and appeals.

The world is facing a globalized intifada, and the left is working overtime to normalize their violent behavior, especially against Jews, and on American soil.  The attack against those two young Israelis who were about to become engaged and gunned down in Washington DC, and the attack by Mohamad Sabry Soliman using a flamethrower and Molotov cocktails against peaceful and unarmed supporters of Israel is just a symptom of the infection of Islam in America.  Is this leading up to an October 7th style event here in America?  If they thought they could get away with it, they would do it, but this isn't Israel, and here they're facing Donald Trump, not Obama, Joe Biden and fortunately, not Kamala Harris.

Switzerland’s Superior Fiscal Discipline

August 28, 2025 by Dan Mitchell @ International Liberty

When I wrote yesterday about Germany, I could imagine readers shrugging their shoulders and thinking it was just another column about European decline. Indeed, I’ve written similar columns about other welfare states such as France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Though not all European nations are the same. I wrote back in May, for instance, about Denmark moving in the right direction.

For purposes of today’s column, however, I want to look at Switzerland.

More specifically, I want to compare Switzerland’s prudence and Germany’s decline. Here’s a chart, based on the IMF’s database, comparing annual growth of overall government spending in the two nations. As you can see, Germany has increased the fiscal burden of government at a much faster rate than Switzerland since 2015.

From an economic perspective, the best way of measuring the burden of government is to see what share of a nation’s economic output is being consumed by the public sector.

Switzerland is much better than Germany in that regard, with 32.1 percent of GDP diverted to government compared to 49.9 percent of GDP going to government in Germany.

But trends also are important, and this next chart shows that the economic burden of government spending has dramatically increased in Germany (and fallen slightly in Switzerland).

I’m tempted to highlight the critical role of Switzerland’s spending cap and conclude this column. But since the majority of my readers are from the U.S., let’s expand today’s analysis by including data on what has happened to government spending in America over the same time period. Lo and behold, we see that politicians in the United States have been even worse than German politicians.

However, since the United States has enjoyed faster economic growth, the government/GDP ratio has not deteriorated as much. Here’s a chart showing how the burden of government spending has increased in the U.S., but fortunately not as much as it has expanded in Germany.

The should-be-obvious takeaway is that lawmakers should strive for both spending restraint and faster growth. That’s the recipe for shrinking the burden of government spending. At this point, I could wrap up with another endorsement of Switzerland’s spending cap. But I want to make one final point.

I recently saw on Twitter this analysis of interest rates in six key nations, including Germany, Switzerland, and the United States. Notice that interest rates are trending higher in every country other than Switzerland. Why? Because investors can look at Swiss fiscal policy and feel confident that there won’t be a future crisis.

Yes, Switzerland did make the mistake of spending more money during the pandemic, and that pushed up interest. But not nearly as much as spending increased and interest rates rose in the other five nations.

The moral of the story is that investors obviously are much less concerned about a potential default (or some other type of fiscal crisis) in Switzerland. And they obviously are much less worried about politicians using the printing press to finance budget deficits (which also would push up interest rates).

So now I’ll conclude by saying that the United States (as well as Germany, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom) should copy Switzerland’s spending cap.

A Billion Dollar Somali Autism Fraud in Minnesota

By Daniel Greenfield @ Sultan Knish Blog

The $250 million ‘Feeding Our Future’ free food fraud in which Somali groups stole a quarter of a billion dollars while claiming to feed hundreds of thousands of children who never existed seemed like the biggest case of welfare fraud in Minnesota, but it may be just the beginning.

Somali autism fraud, partly linked to the ‘Feeding Our Future’ scam, may be even bigger and after the FBI raids of autism clinics last December, the scale of it is still being put together.

The pattern in both Somali meals for children and autism treatment for children is similar.

In 2019, Feeding Our Future distributed $3.4 million in taxpayer food aid funds to the non-profits it was sponsoring, In 2020, that shot up to $42 million and then up to $197 million in 2021.

EIDBI autism claims to Medicaid in Minnesota similarly shot up from $3 million in 2018 to $54 million in 2019, $77 million in 2020, $183 million in 2021, $279 million in 2022, $399 million in 2023, and nearing $400 million most of the way through 2024 for a total of over $1.4 billion.

How did autism claims rise from $3 million to $400 million a year in just 4 years?

The number of autism providers shot up 700% from 41 to 328 over 5 years. 1 in 16 Somali four-year-olds (6%) were supposedly suffering from autism leading to a mass demand for services. Somalis had accused the Minnesota Department of Human Services of racism, and protested outside its offices to pressure it into providing funding for the $250 million ‘Feeding Our Future’ and similarly launched a pressure campaign to sign off on the autism fraud.

Somali community groups set up their own autism treatment centers to provide diverse “culturally appropriate programming” and Somali kids were seven times more likely to receive autism treatment than other children. Whistleblowers at the Minnesota Department of Human Services report that 1 in 5 autism centers in the state are now under investigation.

In the 85 investigations, of the 5 closed cases last year, all of them involved Somalis including apparently Sharmarke Issa, the former chair of the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority who pleaded guilty over his involvement in the Feeding Our Future fraud.

Some of the autism clinics double dipped by also signing up to hand out meals to children. Smart Therapy, one of the autism clinics raided by the FBI, received $13 million from Medicaid and also signed up with Feeding Our Future to get ‘reimbursements’ from the government for allegedly feeding 300 kids a day for seven days a week which by 2021 was up to 500 kids.

The emails listed in the federal complaint appeared to be signed by Aisha Hassan, the CEO and President of Smart Therapy. The autism center was allegedly working with S&S Catering, whose owner Qamar Ahmed Hassan, took in $13 million in government money and then wrote checks to a travel agency specializing in Islamic tours of Mecca as part of the Feeding Our Future fraud. It’s unknown if Qamar Hassan and Asha Hassan are related, but a whistleblower told investigators that another Smart Therapy owner was indeed related to Qamar Hassan.

A Smart Therapy whistleblower stated that the employees were teenage family members of the owners with no training, spent all day on their phones, that the children were not autistic, and that their parents were paid to sign them up for ‘treatment’ with envelopes full of cash.

Star Autism Center, also raided by the FBI, billed Medicaid for 21.5 hours of autism therapy from one therapist in one day. Another billed 23 hours of services in a single day. Star’s organizer, Abdinajib Hassan Yussuf, claimed to know nothing. Both centers billed for treatments being provided by its ‘therapists’ while they were in Kenya (which hosts a large Somali migrant population) and Turkey which serves as a center for Islamic terrorist migration. Including ISIS.

It is difficult to know the full scale of the Somali autism fraud, but troublingly DHS Assistant Commissioner Natasha Merz had claimed that the catastrophic growth of the state’s autism program has been “pretty consistent” with other DHS programs including housing and disability funding. That means that the fraud we know could be only the tip of a massive iceberg.

For example, Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) was budgeted at $2.6 million when it was launched in 2020 but by 2024, was expected to hit $120 million. The sheer scale of welfare fraud under the Walz administration is so severe that hundreds of millions of dollars can easily vanish across the board without anyone even noticing because it’s no longer an aberration.

Under Gov. Tim Walz, it’s become routine for welfare programs to shoot up from the millions to the hundreds of millions. “Well, I think you’re always accountable for when things happen, but I think the accountability piece that we’re going to have to try and understand,” Walz replied, when asked about Minnesota’s spiraling welfare fraud crisis. “The question is, in state government, our job is to carry out the programs to try and get the resources to the people who need them.”

While Gov. Walz may act baffled, he and his political allies in the DFL chose to roll money out the door to Somali groups, while eliminating accountability and avoiding any scrutiny out of fear of racism. Between Attorney General Keith X. Ellison and DHS Inspector General Kulani Moti, a former public defender and the daughter of the first ‘Oromo’ immigrant from East Africa to move to Minnesota, sensitivity has been a priority, rigorous enforcement has not.

Somalis were already caught stealing tens of millions of dollars in various unrelated Medicaid health care frauds including $20 million in fraud in 2023 alone. This year there’s already been a Somali $7 million fraud conviction. But without federal investigations, these are just a fraction of the abuses being caught at the state level, even as the massive systematic fraud goes on.

Somali fraud now appears to equal half the budgets for the Twin Cities. How big can the fraud get before Minnesota runs out of money?

Nitwit Brigade on Parade, Part V

By Rich Kozlovich, Tags:

As I watch the increasing insanity going on in the world, and the stunningly insane things prominent people say one has to wonder if they're certifiable?  Mia Farrow claims Trump is a ‘National Emergency’, because he's deranged, not rational, incapable of running the nation, and is surrounded by yes men, sycophants, and flunkies who are "utterly inept idiots".   Trump is so bad she claimed "that it is Trump who should be locked up, not dangerous members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang".  In March she took a page right out of former Prince Charlie's Global Warming, "Oh noooo, we're all gonna die" book, claiming because of Trump the world had only  three to four months to live.  Well, just like the former Prince, she's an idiot.

Ask yourself, are we better off now than we were a year ago?

Now we have this terrible Minnesota murder of two young Catholic children by a trans character, which was clearly a anti-Catholic hate crime.  And Catholic hate is something the federal government under the three Obama administrations were guilty of, even listing traditional Catholics as domestic terrorists.   Especially those Catholics that favor the Latin mass.

As Monica Showalter reported in April of 2023, the FBI was infiltrating Catholic Churches, investigating “Radical Traditional Catholics.” What made them radical, a threat worthy of the time and energy of the FBI? They like the Latin Mass. No doubt a distinction ferreted out by “experts.” FBI Director Christoper Wray professed shock—it was only one field office—and promised the investigation was shut down, until he had to admit it was several field offices, and maybe it really wasn’t so shut down after all.

Wow!  You can see how radical and dangerous that is to the nation.   Right?

Do you remember when on September 23, 2022 at 6:45 a.m., the the FBI found this family dangerous enough to invade their home with  armed FBI agents, rifles in hand invading the home of Mark Houck, a Catholic Pro-Life activist, terrorizing his family of seven children and arrested him.  Are we really to believe the FBI was convinced they needed Gestapo/SWAT tactics to arrest this father of seven with no criminal record?  After all, you never know what that many children might do to big tough fully armed agents.  Do you think they were sending a message?  You bet they were!

With all the hateful hyperbole by the Obama/Biden cabal against Catholics is it any wonder a mentally troubled man who thought he was a woman, and who hated Trump and wanted to kill him, acted out on all that hateful activity by the previous administration?   And this followed a previous shooting the day before at the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Minneapolis killing one person an wounding six others.

But not according to Mia, not all that hate spewed out by the Democrats had anything to do with this, and not the fact Independent and Catholic schools begged Governor Waltz for help to make their schools safe.  Oh, no, it's the Republican's fault.   It's the Republican's fault.

As it turns out this monster is one of theirs.

He was gay/trans, hates Trump, violent and deranged, and given the insane things their base is doing I'm betting he represents the psychological profile of a substantial number of Democrats.  But who can find fault with Mia's musings.  How about anyone sane?

When Mia talks it makes you wonder if it's possible she might be one of the ‘repulsive’ liberals driving people away from Democrats Jimmy Kimmel is talking about?   Which is really rich, you know, Jimmy Kimmel, the man who lives in a bizarro mentally unfit world where "fake is real, and real is fake."  And he's concerned about "repulsive liberals".

Is there any other kind?

Germany and the 20th Theorem of Government

August 27, 2025 by Dan Mitchell @ International Liberty

In 2023, I wrote about Germany’s fiscal decay, noting that the burden of government spending had been increasing faster than the productive sector of the economy.

This violated my Golden Rule.

In the accompanying chart, I noted that government was consuming 48.7 percent of economic output, up from 44.1 percent of GDP in 2015.

And, for those who fixate on red ink and fiscal balance, I also noted that Germany’s 8-year experiment in profligacy turned a budget surplus into a budget deficit.

My message was simple. Germany needed to change direction.

The good news is that politicians in Berlin did shift policy.

The bad news is that they decided to make a bad situation even worse. Following elections earlier this year, new Prime Minister Friedrich Merz decided to make government even bigger.

Even the Washington Post has noticed, as illustrated by the headline from this story from last month.

Though I can’t help but point out that it has been about 20 years since Germany budget could be described as “tightfisted.”

But the story was largely accurate even if the title had an error. Merz and the other politicians in Berlin are increasing the fiscal burden of government.

So I was flummoxed to see that Germany’s Prime Minister has suddenly realized that his country is in a fiscal ditch. Here are some excerpts from an editorial in the Wall Street Journal.

Friedrich Merz, the German Chancellor, said at a Christian Democratic Union conference on Saturday that “the welfare state that we have today can no longer be financed with what we produce in the economy.” Thank you, Chancellor, for this burst of candor. …Nations have built welfare and entitlement states that are so large they have outstripped the ability of slow-growing economies to pay for them. …there’s no more difficult challenge in politics than reforming government handouts—whether in pensions, jobless benefits, government healthcare, or income subsidies. It will be worth watching what Mr. Merz and his coalition propose. But the first step toward solving the problem is admitting it exists.

In my not-so-humble opinion, the WSJ‘s editorial writers are being too kind.

They are praising Merz for acknowledging the problem when they should have been condemning him for making the problem worse.

Merz reminds me of the old joke about the kid who murders his parents and then asks for mercy because he’s an orphan.

I’ll close by observing that Germany is another example of my 20th Theorem of Government.  It’s running out of other people’s money because government is too big and it’s been growing too fast. Maybe Merz has had an epiphany and will now do what’s right, but I’m not holding my breath.

P.S. When I did the chart in 2023, I noted that the burden of government spending had increased by 4.6 percentage points of GDP since 2015. The latest numbers show that government is now consuming an additional 5.3 percent of GDP.

P.P.S. Predictably, the IMF is pushing the wrong advice for Germany.
