Democrats on the Committee on Natural Resources of the U.S. House of Representatives have proposed a cut to the oath taken by witnesses who testify before the committee. Democrats would remove the phrase, “so help you God.” Currently, witnesses who appear before the House Committee on Natural Resources are administered the following oath before testifying: “Do you solemnly swear or affirm, under penalty of law, that the testimony that you are about to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?”...........To Read More....
