Hillary has skated on the email scandal, and you had better get used to it! If you don't, why, you're...you're...stupid!
That's that's the new drift of coverage on the cover-up left. The examples popped up aplenty on July 7, when FBI director Comey testified before Congress concerning his inexplicable decision not to recommend indictment of the email criminal.
Many of the usual suspects chimed in. Over at PoliticusUSA – fiercely anti-corporate, and fiercely in support of corporate stooge Hillary – we are told that the hearings backfired on those stupid Republicans. (Editor's note: Hmmmmm....did they really watch the hearings, and does it matter?)
Later, we're told that this egregious stupidity may have ensured Hillary's election. (Editor's note: No....I guess they didn't watch the hearings, and it doesn't matter?) Over at Mother Jones, we are assured that the hearings were good for Hillary, bad for stupid Republicans – largely because Comey defended his decision not to bring charges. (Editor's note: Wow! They didn't watch the hearings either....and it really doesn't matter.) And over at Crooks and Liars, in defense of one of the most distinguished crooks and liars of the century, we are told that those stupid Republicans are banging their stupid heads against a wall and embarrassing the nation,. .......Read more
My Take - I'm sure no one remembers the 1984 Vice Presidential debate when Geraldine Ferraro debated George H. W. Bush. At the end they interviewed four journalists on the station I watched and the three men agreed they both made good points, both took some shots, and the debate was pretty much a tie. There was one woman there also and she just gushed at how Ferraro just "really took" that debate and practically drooled until even I was embarrassed for her. The other three chuckled and one asked her if she saw the debate. Neither facts or reality can sway leftists.
Perhaps they are smarter than conservatives because the mental gymnastics they have to perform to overturn reality - and believe it - must be amazing. It's a lot like being insane while lecturing about economics at Yale.
At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th these leftists were called progressives. Why did they choose that definition? Because liberals were called "classical liberals" and were far more conservative than today's conservatives....as in George Will and John Kasich. Progressives actually were socialists, but European socialism was atheistic in nature and that just wouldn't float in America 125 years ago.....so.....they became progressives. What was the binding force for progressives? Religion....as in the National Council of Churches. The thinking went along the lines that socialism was the practical application of Christian ethic.
However - the real progressives were real socialists and hated the religionists, but they were more than willing to use them until after WWII when the binding force for the left was psychology....if you don't agree with us you're insane. The "classical liberals" were gone and the progressives called themselves liberals.....and they could finally kick the religionists to the curb.....at least until they needed to once again trot them out as "useful idiots" , like puppets to toot the leftist horn....and then send them back to the curb.
Now the binding force is intellect - if you disagree with them you're stupid. They haven't totally abandoned the insane argument, but they really like the stupid argument because if you're insane that only means they're sane....and anyone can be sane. But stupid! Wow....if you're stupid that means they're really smart and that makes them special.....not just anyone can be smart....that takes effort and they had to work at being smart, while you're stupid because you're primitive and lazy.
There's only one problem with that.......at this point their rationale is now completely transparent to the reading public because the internet has crushed their ministry of propaganda - the main stream media, and that's the reason newspapers all over the country are going out of business or reducing their days of publication and every leftist electronic media outlet - TV and radio - is doing poorly.
The smart reading public are known as conservatives, and we know we're smart so we can't be intimidated with that bogus argument, and now there are a lot more smart conservatives than ever before. Call everyone stupid if you please, but people are choosing to believe what they see versus what they tell us.
So please explain to me again why that's stupid?
