When asked by CNSNews.com whether he had read all of the 10,535 final regulations [pages] for Obamacare that have been published in the Federal Register, Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) said, “No I haven’t.”
At
the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, CNSNews.com asked, “The administration has
published 10,535 final regulations [pages] for Obamacare in the Federal
Register, have you read all of those regulations?” Representative Engel said,
“Have I read all of them? No I haven’t.” “But I’m very familiar with
Obamacare and what it does,” he said.
When
questioned further by CNSNews.com, Engel referred to the health care
legislation that was signed into law by Barack Obama in 2010, the Affordable
Care Act, or Obamacare. “I read the bill,” Engel said.
Since
the bill became law, various federal agencies have published in the Federal
Register 110 final regulations governing how Obamacare will be implemented.
Those
regulations add up to 10,535 pages in the Federal Register. That is more than
eight times as many pages as there are in the Gutenberg
Bible, which has 642 two-sided leaves or 1,286 pages......See more at:
