Durbin: Obamacare is "on its Way to be a Substantial Success”
Nice try, Senator Durbin. But you’re wrong: A top Senate Democrat said on Sunday that ObamaCare is “on its way to be a substantial success.” ......Substantial success? Hardly. Americans are now just finding out their premiums are doubling, they're losing coverage, and their employers are reducing their work hours. All things, of course, we saw coming. If anything, comments like these show just how out of touch some members of Congress really are.
Rubio: “I Do Support Senator McConnell’s Re-Election”
We haven’t heard much from Florida Senator Marco Rubio lately. But on Fox News Sunday he did endorse Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for re-election (via The Corner):
“[Nancy Pelosi is] the Most Effective Congressional Leader Probably in 30 Years”
That astute analysis was offered by NPR’s Nina Totenberg on Inside Washington Friday (via NewsBusters): In fairness, the former House Speaker did help pass unpopular (and ultimately disastrous) health care legislation in 2010 that members of her own caucus didn't even read. Well done, Ms. Pelosi. Glad to know your "effective" leadership skills are being put to good use.
