Bush EPA chief calls Senate GOP ‘sore losers’ for opposing EPA nominee

Republicans’ decision to boycott a planned committee vote of President Obama’s nominee to head the Environmental Protection Agency made them look like “sore losers,” said Christine Todd Whitman, EPA administrator under President George W. Bush.
“They looked like sore losers when they walked out the way they did,” Whitman said of the decision last week by Republicans on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee to not attend the planned confirmation vote of Gina McCarthy to head EPA. “I do give them credit for having a broader strategy than just that. They are trying to paint a portrait, but I don’t see walking out like that as a successful way of doing it.”
My Take – Steve Milloy had this to say about Whitman:  “Consider the source”.  “Christie Todd Whitman really didn’t know the difference between ozone depletion and global warming when she became EPA chief.  As I reported in my FOXNews.com column of January 5, 2001 (see below):
After being nominated [to be EPA administrator], [Christie Todd] Whitman was asked: “Global warming, what is your thought on what the state of science is and what can be done to address it?” She responded: “Still somewhat uncertain. Clearly there’s a hole in the ozone, that has been identified. But I saw a study the other day that showed that it was closing. It’s not as clear, the cause and effect, as we would like it to be.”
Another former EPA administrator, William Reilly, who was administrator under President George H. W. Bush, agreed with her.  The reality is that neither of these two loons did anything substantive to rein in the EPA and the insanity EPA promotes.  So much for Bush appointees, and for both Bushes….or is it Bush’s?   Either way, who cares what any of these people have to say.  I can guarantee one thing though.  If they came out in support for their challenge there wouldn’t be one word said about it.  It amazes me that these loons can’t see how they are being used.  Do they really believe that their views are so important that the media just can’t wait to seek them out for their brilliance and insights?  Do they really believe the media seeks them out in order  to gain understanding on the complications of this issue?   Dumb as dirt!
Thomas Sowell once said it amazed him how a brain that housed such a small intellect could house such a large ego.
