“On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.” And I still can recite the Scout Law from memory fifty years later: “A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.”
What part of that is ambiguous?
For 103 years, the Boy Scouts of America fought to live up to those ideals. No more. After standing for moral and physical purity for more than a century, the organization apparently is prepared to surrender to the dark side of our society. The full BSA board must vote on this, but a statement by the group this week reads as follows: “There would no longer be any national policy regarding sexual orientation, and the chartered organizations that oversee and deliver Scouting would accept membership and select leaders consistent with each organization’s mission, principles or religious beliefs.” For those of us who remember our days in Scouting, it is sad to see the perverse sexualization of the Boy Scouts. My Take - Who's responsible for this slide into the abyss? This appears complicated, but it really isn't. First of all, the left is intellectually and morally indefinable for the long term because the left will embrace any and every new philosophical flavor of the day, if it will garner them the power they so slavishly pursue. And it will just as quickly abandon that philosophy the minute it starts to work the other way.
The left has no intellectual or moral foundation except for three things. They desire power, they are atheistic in nature and they can only achieve the kind of power they want by destroying Judaic/Christian principles. In those three things they have remained true, and the only way they can be defined. Whether or not a person is religious in practice or philosophy is immaterial when it comes to understanding that about the left.
Even atheists I know acknowledge the importance of Judaic/Christian principles as a stabilizing force for society. So who must bear the largest share of the blame for all of this? The Judaic/Christian leaders of the world! It is clear they don’t read the scriptures, they don’t believe the scriptures, they don’t practice what is in the scriptures and they are incapable of explaining to others what the scriptures say, so why would we expect society to be any different?
Many large denominations have embraced the very things the scriptures adamantly condemn. Many prominent members of some of these organizations even claim the Bible isn’t inspired, and question the existence of the people written about there-in. Well, this is America and one can say and believe those things, but how can these ones have any moral authority, when as a group, the very foundation for their existence is based on belief in the scriptures they decry. In short, if they dismiss that which is supposed to be their moral foundation, who needs them?
Is it any wonder that their flocks are scattered, confused, disoriented and being decimated by wolves in sheep’s clothing? The left keeps changing itself into an angel of light destroying us with our own values and the religious leaders are failing to challenge them.
Because they have become them!
