Some time back I wrote a piece noting that Tucker Carlson was now the nation's premiere political analyst, and now he's far more. I never particularly liked him before he started his show, and often wondered how and why he was on so many political talk shows. After he started his show I was a lot more impressed, yet there were times I really disagreed with him. However, I loved the fact he was totally unintimidated by the prominent and powerful. He was really great at spotting the logical fallacies these politicians, activists, and bureaucrats spewed out, and called them on it.
I really liked the way he was willing to cut his way through the jungle to get to the truth, and would "boldly go where no journalist had gone before". And, I think this is really important: he was unfailingly polite to people I considered to be stupid and corrupt, so many of whom were like all the Biden nominees to federal jobs and the federal court.
I found this interesting description and analysis of two politically prominent women whose doctoral theses were called Illiterate, Incoherent Gallimaufry of Platitudes and Farrago of Pseudo-Academic Fustian Malaprop Glossolalia. Okay,
we all know what illiterate and incoherent means, and ever pseudo, but
what in the world does gallimaufry of platitudes, farrago of
pseudo-academic fustian glossolalia mean?
Gallimaufry - A confused jumble or medley of things.
Platitudes - A remark or statement, especially one with a moral content, that has been used too often to be interesting or thoughtful.
Farrago - A confused mixture.
Pseudo-Academic - Pseudo-scholarship
(from pseudo- and scholarship) is a term used to describe work (e.g.,
publication, lecture) or a body of work that is presented as, but is
not, the product of rigorous and objective study or research; the act of
producing such work; or the pretended learning upon which it is based.
Fustian - Pompous or pretentious speech or writing. "a smoke screen of fustian and fantasy"
Malaprop -
The mistaken use of a word in place of a similar-sounding one, often with unintentionally amusing effect, as in, for example, “dance a flamingo ” (instead of flamenco )
Glossolalia - The phenomenon of (apparently) speaking in an unknown language.
Now,
I don't know anyone who talks like that, or for that matter, I don't
anyone who would know what most of that means without looking it all up,
including me. But this verbiage is so rich, and so aptly descriptive
of what we're seeing from so many who are against Tucker Carlson I hate to see it go
to waste. So, I'm applying that verbiage to these nitwits and misfits
of the left and their enablers again as this Tucker Carlson Saga plays out.
The
main stream media has been lying to everyone for decades claiming to be the omnipotent delivers of "truth"! But that was a lie, and now we know that was a lie, and we know it has been a lie for over one hundred years, especially at the New York Times.
Since he's been "fired" the media, politicians and other "experts" have come out
frothing at the mouth spewing a lava flow of invective, logical
fallacies and outright lies, about his work and his character. In
short, their comments and views are "Illiterate, Incoherent
Gallimaufry of Platitudes and Farrago of Pseudo-Academic Fustian
Malaprop Glossolalia."
Chuckling.............I just love that verbiage.
The media made fools of themselves while he attacked Democrat corruption, and then when what he claimed turned out to be right, they really turned into frogs after kissing Democrats behinds. However, when he was fired they were almost apoplectic in their joy. But, as has been said over and over again, be careful for what you wish for. Now they've reached the Inevitability Factor: When Reality Reaches It's Apex, since Carlson will be released from all restraints from the Murdoch family cabal and their leftist myrmidons at Fox.
They're discovering he has the chance of a lifetime that no reporter or journalist has ever had in the history of the world. When it comes to political and cultural analysis, he "is it" now! And they're finally discovering what America has believed for some time. They're "not it" any longer, nor will they ever be again, and most assuredly, even less in the future.
It's been said he wasn't fired from Fox, just his show was cancelled. It's also been said he's still under contract and being paid to prevent him from moving to another network. It's also been claimed that was done in order to prevent his coverage of the 2024 election. Okay, maybe that was the Machiavellian intent, but I don't see it playing out that way.
Tucker Carlson is wealthy now, so he doesn't need the money, but if he's still getting paid by Fox he's getting a ton of money from Fox, to do nothing for Fox, and all at their request. So, what's to prevent him from going on shows as a "guest" .......daily.......and being interviewed telling the world what he thinks.......for free!
Unless I'm really out in the wilderness, that appears to me to be a First Amendment issue. And Fox will pay through the nose whether they keep paying him or not. Machiavelli would not have been impressed, and neither is the nation.
