House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), once again, instructed her audience when to applaud as she addressed the Time 100 Summit on Tuesday. After touting the diversity of Democrat politicians, Pelosi informed the audience that she had delivered “an applause line”:
“I myself am focused on winning the House again for the Democrats and I intend to have that accomplished by this year. We have a very gerrymandered, voter-suppressed, arena. We won 40, we net gained 40 seats in the last election; that was remarkable. We have over 60 some, 65 new members of Congress, they're fantastic, beautifully diverse.
