Franklin Center For Government and Public Integrity Thanksgiving Message

When the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock in 1620, they faced an uncertain and difficult future. But these first Americans knew the New World promised the opportunity and freedom they so desperately wanted. Nearly 400 years later, Americans continue to seek the brighter future that first brought the pilgrims to these shores.

But America can only remain a free and prosperous nation if the government remains in check, and if a free press holds politicians and public officials accountable.

That’s why this Thanksgiving, I am so thankful for our Watchdog investigative reporters who work tirelessly to root out government mismanagement and overreach. They couldn’t do what they do best without your ongoing support. We are grateful for our readers today and every day.

Throughout the year, our Watchdog reporters have exposed government corruption, cronyism, and abuses of power. They’ve forced firings, prompted resignations, scooped the mainstream media, and reached millions of Americans with groundbreaking investigations.  Many Americans have lost faith in American journalism. I’m thankful our team is part of the solution.

This coming Tuesday, November 29, is Giving Tuesday – a national day of charitable giving to kick off the holiday season.

We invite you to be a part of the solution too by making a generous tax-deductible donation to our cause.

We are grateful for every gift- big or small.

Thank you again for placing your trust in our brand of hard-hitting, investigative journalism. Our future is bright, and we have lots to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
