Whooping cough swooping across U.S.
This year, the U.S. is going to have the worst outbreak of whooping cough (pertussis) since 1959, according to a new report from the CDC.
Pregnant women do drink alcohol, survey says
A survey just published in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report revealed that 1 in 13 - or about 8 percent of pregnant women - drink alcohol. The report also noted that about 1.4 percent of pregnant women binge-drink - defined as having four or more drinks on one occasion.

Editor's Note - I saved this for last because it is the best. For some time I have been saying that I think all of these 'celebrity doctors', including Oz, are a bunch of loons. I often wonder if women weren't allowed to watch idiot shows like The View, The Doctors, Dr. Oz and last but not least, Dr. Phil, if these shows would last five days. Although Dr. Phil isn't mentioned in this next article, I'll mention him......he's earned the right to be included with the other celebrities. Who knows; maybe they could come together and do a variety show...you know....singing, dancing and doing stupid comedy skits. Oh...wait....maybe that is what they are doing without the singing and dancing.

In a Los Angeles Times article, reporter Chris Woolston takes celebrity doctors to task for doling out false or misleading "medical" tips.
